It's cute! Growing different crops with the tools was fun.
I feel like I could get lost easily and not find the fertilizer and water sources I started near. An on screen display for the number mappings to tools would also go a long way I think.

this game looks super cute! unfortunately the well seems to be broken for me on chrome D: i held space for a long time but it wouldn't fill the watering can up. a pity!

@ty I think you need to tap space several times, like you are using the handle of a water pump.
Nice game, cool mechanics and nice animations. My best time was 29s. sub30
Cute harvest speed-run game! :)
Cute, and a really promising start! I hope you continue working on it!

Nice work on this one! Lots of small features that add up to a fun experience. The minigames for gathering water and fertilizer were cool, and having lots of secrets and unique shopkeepers around the world was a great way to encourage exploration and curiosity. I also love the artwork and character sprites. You even had some nice quality-of-life features like fading the trees out when the player walks behind them. The planting/growing mechanics are plenty detailed for a jam, but I'd love to see you keep working on this and add even more types of plants, new ways to sell your harvest (maybe at a market or your own store), and maybe find rare seeds or buy your own farm/land later!

@chompdev Thanks for the review. I'm impressed you made it this far into the game and got such a high score. My friend up above who got a 28 second run found some exploits so a 68 second run is extremly good. I agree key suggestions is a much needed addition. And great additional suggestions like a market.

A nice little game. I appreciate the pump animation and mechanic and the fertiliser collection mechanic! And the transparency of the trees when you're behind. And the basic sounds. A music score would also fit it. I figured out how to plant and harvest. What I wasn't sure about was adding water and fertiliser, whether I can do it in a random order. For a better product, it'd need "levels" where you first do just few things (dig + plant + collect) and then you add more (water, fertilisation...). But nice, congratz! :)

I have so much respect for you man, you did all this by yourself- holy cow! This is a full game! With minigames! All you needed was a little musical doot! The art is adorable too xD

@pazzi Thanks!
this looks cute and what I could figure out seemes like you have some nice ideas. I had troubel figuring out how everything works though and having the controls all clustered on one had felt a little cramped.

@rustynoob completely fair enough. Unfortunately I did not have time to make a good tutorial.
I gotta say I am baffled by the times people here in the comments got... I stumbled around for like 5 minutes before I harvested my first crop :D Once I got the hang of it it went a little smoother though. I must say you have done great work here for a jam game! The visuals are nice, the mechanics work, and I love the little world you built. Really well done!
Cute little game. Good job fleshing out the growing mechanics. I had a couple farm plots that wouldn't let me water them even though my watering can had water and they had 0/1 water. I like the character sprite :)
