Great job! The building mechanic was impressive and the combat was enjoyable (if a bit on the easy side)
Great game! Feels well-polished especially for a game jam.
Good twist on the platformer concept, and it fits the theme well. Great job!
This might be the best jam game I've ever seen, and that says a lot. I saw the ending coming but had to see it for myself anyway, lol
Wow, this is incredible. I can't believe this is a jam game, with everything from the graphics, to the gameplay, to the leaderboard. Well done!
My high score is only 2690, I'm not great at these kinds of games :D The art style is great and works well with the simple but capably-implemented mechanics.
Also, I want to specifically thank you for having a volume control. I like to balance my computer audio at a lower level, and this makes it a lot easier. I just wanted to mention that since it's something I rarely see on jam games!
This is a new game genre for me, and I love it! Unfortunately, I seem to have gotten stuck on the fourth level when I tried to redirect my character right after a pause (the character just stays still on the arrow after the pause, no matter what I do)
Great game though!
I loved this, though I must confess that by the end I cheated a bit
(for example, for a 9-letter word, typing in AAAAAAAAA then BBBBBBBBB, etc)
I think that a quality-of-life change would be to tell the player how long the word that they need to find is - otherwise I have to manually count the spaces.
This was awesome! I haven't played many roguelikes, but I might have to try one after this.
Awesome! The planet harvesting was satisfying (though there seemed to be an offset or scaling issue which resulted in it harvesting some distance to the right of my mouse)
Thanks for all the feedback! @lone-wolf @fc85057 @john-wuller @schnodelfactory and all the rest ~~I should stop before this comment becomes nothing but mentions~~
I can definitely see that the lack of tutorial or documentation is an issue. I don't intend to do any post-jam updates (other than critical bugfixes) but it's something I'll keep in mind and bring with me into future jams.
All in all, I'm happy I was able to make something more functional than my past entries, and thanks a ton for playing :)
@rosypenguin Thanks for playing! The game does continue endlessly, though there's a hard cap on 12 carrots and 6 traps/bombs at maximum. I wanted to make more of an endgame, potentially with moving enemies so you'd have to time your charge, but didn't have enough time.
I got 10 seconds right on the dot :) Moving it in a circle seems to be best, to keep the mouse moving without stopping
I got a high score of only 95, lol. Shooting carrots is very satisfying
I love the graphics and feel of it!
This was fun, I forgot how enjoyable top-down dungeon-like games could be! I also appreciated how the levels actually felt different as it went on, instead of just being more of the same.
The sound effect for finding something was a bit loud compared to the music (and sound stopped working after I switched between tabs and back), and I also found myself getting stuck on walls at times, but none of those majorly detracted from the experience. Great job!
This game is a blast! I played the endless mode once I got a hang on things, and my buddy Elfonzo came in handy more than once when I harvested the wrong thing.
The itch.io link 404s :(
I like the elements of strategy! It felt complicated at first but I started to get the hang of it as I went on.
