A very fun, goofy little game! I got a high score of 41 after a few tries! Although, I can't help but wonder if there might be a slightly more efficient way of picking apples...

Took a minute to figure out how to actually get apples....but you got a pretty good laugh from me.
I really enjoyed the music and the graphics in your game! It's very cute
Silly and fun! managed only 5 apples max but had fun doing it. Can't help but feel that controller support would just be gold on something like this, tried it for the laughs and movement did work, so it was a grand time zipping the little robot around the trees.
If there was a sandbox game where the only thing the player character could do is shake things like this I would play the heck out of it. The core action here is really satisfying and I'd love more things to do in the environment. I picked 35 apples in an extreme fashion.
This is a great idea, and a lot of fun. The biggest issue is I had a difficult time actually shaking the apples into the basket. Fun sounds/music, and good graphics.
I got 38 after a few tries, I really wish there was a better way of picking the apples off the ground, a slightly scoopier robot bottom maybe, I had a lot of fun trying to use the ramp bottom with the robots body to push them to one side
Cute entry. I like the funny idea and implementation :) Some of the better music I've heard so far too.
Huh, wobbly animations are pretty funny :)
Thank you everyone for your feedback!
@parchmentengineer - Maybe. But robots are pretty efficient... so maybe not.
@hypernoodlejon - Definitely agree. Time limit is my only excuse :P
@kymakesgames - Thank you! It is really gratifying to hear that because I honestly sunk way more time than I had intended into the character movement and shaking logic. And now that you mention it, it does seem like any number of day-to-day problems could be fixed by having a robot pick things up and vigorously shake them.
@jellybean - That's a great idea. Honestly I only started to notice the 'scootch apples around' strategy pretty late in development. It could certainly turn into a more complete feature.
Funny game :) Thanks! You created nice esthetics using only standard Unity shapes
I am not sure if this is the most effective way of harvesting apples, but it is definitely interesting XD Also those poor trees getting just flung of the map when you were done with them was very funny to me, haha The gameplay was pretty simple, but fun nontheless. I liked how you had to get a feel for the optimal timing of getting a new tree. I guess this also changed the further you got, as you had to get trees that were further away from the basket. At least, I did not find a way to move the basket, I hope this was correct? At first I just started shaking trees, but then realized I did not know how I was supposed to get the apples in the basket. In the end I just started shaking trees above the basket. Hopefully that was how you were supposed to play :) Anyway, using that method I got to 35 apples :D Very nice submission! Well done!
It also took some for me to understand that I didn't have to pick them but to shake the tree over the basket ^^U Nice ambientation with both the music and the graphics!
Wow, what a great compo entry! This was so fun!! Fewer things have brought me joy this Ludum Dare as much as **yeeting** the trees in this game. The SFX were on point. The background loop wasn't half-bad, but since it's a timed game, a consideration for the future would be to make the loop a little more intense as time goes on. (I know loops can be confining, especially on Amped, but drums are a really effective way to amp up intensity over time.) Lovely entry!
I'm the best, and nobody can dispute it unless they show proof- Really cool game ^~^
