TREE by Marcionix 2021-04-27T04:55:48Z

I loved this game! SO bummed there wasn't a soundtrack but honestly, I had such a good time!

Inks by mahalis 2021-04-27T06:25:17Z

This is SO beautiful!! You compo folks are mind-bendingly awesome.

Keke in the "Caves of Peril!" by Hempuli 2021-04-27T02:16:06Z

This looks absolutely awesome! So bummed I can't play it on my Mac. But your aesthetic is just adorable!

Minexile by legavroche 2021-04-27T04:11:58Z

This is a really interesting approach! I couldn't really get it to work but I liked that the music changed as you went lower with the camera.

Stolen Time by loginaut 2021-04-27T02:13:12Z

Can't wait for the itch page! (Cries in Mac.) Would love a tag when it's live.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-27T00:43:57Z

I love the whole feel of this game! Really well done.

Deep into the space by Vodzik 2021-04-27T06:35:16Z

Music is solid, game looks lovely, but I can't seem to run it without lagging literally every other second. So bummed cause it looks great!

Mandahlia by MicroChasm 2021-04-27T01:35:10Z

This is GORGEOUS. I absolutely loved the look of this whole game. And those bell sounds were great! Super polished, too. (Only trouble is I didn't get the start button to work! But pressing one of the movement keys did the trick.)

Clowns Aren't Funny by NDHR Productions 2021-04-27T04:14:28Z

Okay this is really funny!! I actually stopped to read the speech bubbles and was not disappointed. (Greece!) Trouble was the **REALLY LOUD** worm sfx. Could have benefited a lot from mixing but I loved the idea.

Hole by MaximeGammaitoni 2021-04-27T02:16:48Z

Oh man, would love to play this on my Mac! The idea sounds awesome. Super cool story idea.

One Missed Message by Apos 2021-04-27T02:14:37Z

Ooh, really intriguing! I can't play it on my Mac but it looks cool.

Where's grandpa? by Holy 2021-04-27T04:05:56Z

This was quite different! Must have been tricky to implement puzzles in such a short time. That said, I didn't get terribly far but this was a neat idea.

Snare by Jickamangah 2021-04-27T04:15:55Z

Couldn't get it to load on my browser, and the Mac download didn't work, which is SUCH a shame because I'd love to play this!

Billy's Gone Again by KingOfNova 2021-04-27T01:59:14Z

This has been my favorite so far!! I absolutely loved it. Sent it to my jam buddies!!

A Sinking Feeling by rpgfaker 2021-04-27T01:15:27Z

Maybe it was a WebGL thing, but I couldn't interact with the play or how-to right out of th egate. Thanks for having the directions handy on the website though!

20,000 Leagues by marcmagus 2021-04-27T05:57:51Z

Love the artwork and the tabletop genre! Really elegant and lovely!

Deep Dish Delivery by shaner421 2021-04-27T03:56:46Z

I absolutely loved this! Such a fun spin on the theme.

Swarm Crawl by YetRecallLaw 2021-04-27T02:13:53Z

I wish I could play it on my Mac, but I love the description and your title card!

Georgina and the End of the World by Rainsong 2021-04-27T04:28:25Z

I wish it was a little more on the gameplay side and a touch less narration, but it's certainly unique!

Y-Sokombanator by --0 2021-04-27T04:00:43Z

Cool idea! Would have appreciated a more bright, less Times New Roman UI for the instructions. The text felt so important but equally tough to engage with, especially when playing in the browser and not full screen. The music was sweet. Nice work!

Congratulations, Debt! by Thinh 2021-04-27T06:05:31Z

Currently a college student. LOVE this idea. LOVE the audio.

Can't_Get_Out by rbeattie 2021-04-27T04:18:46Z

The mouse sensitivity made me a little sea-sick at times, but I'm sure the idea is really cool!

Monster Tower by LungTakumi 2021-04-27T05:53:50Z

The details in here were lovely! Great music shifts for danger time, love the little on-the-ledge animation; really fun and sweet!

Linguini's Adventure by Washington Irving 2021-04-27T06:36:51Z

Love Linguini's outfit! Really quirky and fun.

The Dwarves of Mt. Deep by Kimberly 2021-04-28T00:07:12Z

Oh my gosh, this is SUCH a great game! Loved every mechanic, and the little "hmm?" from the dwarves was an awesome touch. Super solid work, you guys!

Into the Mind by Kanda 2021-04-27T01:45:07Z

This was REALLY cool. I liked the ATARI adventure vibe, and I really liked the music. The text was interesting, but some of it went a bit fast for my liking, and I think a little polish goes a long way. (Grammar, punctuation, etc.) Overall, lovely!

The Deep Woods is finish and you can play it !!!! by Math-s 2021-04-27T02:24:33Z

This title card looks stunning--so bummed I can't play it on my Mac!

Deep Space by Cole Hutson 2021-04-27T02:11:00Z

I think you could have really benefited from a soundtrack, but I enjoyed getting to upgrade my fuel! This was fun!

A Dank Room by ssh.randy 2021-04-27T04:24:20Z

This is SO cool, really unique. Love the ASCII approach but the surprise crab sold me. SUPER cool, guys! Could have certainly benefitted from a soundtrack but I also appreciate the idea not to.

Deep plat-o-ball by Anshul K 2021-04-27T05:11:26Z

WOW! I barely played games well at 12. This is cool. Got a little motion sick on the camera but good job making it in on time!

Sharpy wheel by daine0 2021-04-27T06:31:54Z

Yeah, bummer about the web build. Love the name of the game!

Caverns of Mal'Dur by suvi 2021-04-27T04:39:41Z

Shoot, this link doesn't work! But I am a SUCKER for hexagons so please tag me when it's fixed?? I want to play this!

At What Cost 2 Electric Boogaloo by Kyle Spence 2021-04-27T00:48:31Z

Would love to see this, but the link doesn't work.

Tank Knight: LD48 Tactics by KyleTheCoder 2021-04-27T02:29:33Z

I really wanted to play this game more with the audio, but some of the mixing was piercing on your WebGL. I played some without it and had a lot of fun!! I think a little polish on the music could go a long way.

Vain Vullet by SwiatowskiSoundDesign 2021-04-27T03:58:47Z

So appreciate the honesty in your post! Hope you can finish it soon!!

Subsanity by cannashblue 2021-04-28T00:32:02Z

This is adorable! I learned the hard way which walls you can't bonk, but so so lovely. And such fitting music!! Lovely all around.

@xpoho Спасибо, что играете в нашу игру! Так рада, что тебе понравилось. Хорошая идея с эхолотом! Я не знаю русского, поэтому использую гугл-переводчик, извините, если это плохой перевод.

Go to Heck 💀 by Chris Dirkis 2021-04-27T04:17:01Z

I love this idea!! "Cyber heckspace" is too great. Awesome!

Get Down Mr. Lucifer! by Trungler 2021-04-27T01:50:58Z

I reaaally love the idea, but it's quite difficult to play and get comfortable with.

The Exit Is Deep by Exiled Burger 2021-04-27T04:48:52Z

Aww, this is so fun! I had a little issue with the controls but I dig the retro aesthetic.

Dog's Descent by EnderBit 2021-04-27T06:21:01Z

What a different idea! I love that your adventure is a cute, brave critter going down a well. Adorable face for the character. Sad I got bonked by rocks because he was so cute, actually. Well done!!

Planet Driller by Rodrigo Sales 2021-04-27T02:12:24Z

Love the look of this! So bummed I can't play it on my Mac, but love the sense of it from your gif!

Deep Pocket Digs by ChrisAP 2021-04-28T00:36:09Z

This is a really fun spin on the theme! I certainly had issues with the controls, but I still wanted to keep playing which is awesome. And the whole art/music style is super cool! Awesome game for two people to have done in a weekend.

EveryDay by xpoho 2021-04-27T02:14:13Z

Got a 404 on the link. Bummer!

Deep in the Space by Swoolfeek 2021-04-27T04:20:39Z

LOVE the thought here! Clever and fun.

Deeper Sleeper by Michael Harris 2021-04-27T02:18:43Z

Bummed that your build doesn't work for Mac! Still calls it a Windows app. Love the idea, though!

That Sinking Feeling by MorePixels 2021-04-27T02:26:44Z

Beautiful title card and awesome team, by your guys' socials. Bummed I can't play it on my Mac!

Ray's Ludum Dare 48 Submission by Raymond Bourke 2021-04-27T04:38:19Z

This is SO creative!

Deeper into the dungeon by Paprikcho 2021-04-27T06:33:47Z

Love the classic art style! Totally perfect for the game.

Mea Culpa by erodrigues 2021-04-27T06:03:34Z

Really interesting art style! I understand the hallways were meant to be dark but it made it difficult to play. Though I couldn't understand the dialogue, the choices were interesting and the presentation was nice!

Infinite Descent by BluishGreenPro 2021-04-28T21:16:30Z

I caught this one on a stream and then had a great time playing it!! Clever mechanics, engaging gameplay, and really drove me to get to the deeper level. Was a pleasure to talk to you on your stream. Looking forward to the next one.

A Fast Breakfast by Epicnoob1002 2021-04-27T01:10:12Z

Loved the "classic" atmosphere! Tweaking the mixing could help a lot and maybe a longer music loop, but not bad!

Black Horizon by mhanapole 2021-04-27T04:37:15Z

Aaah, it gave me Galaga and Asteroids vibes and all sorts of fun nostalgic feels! SO fun!!

The Deep Well by BlueDingo 2021-04-27T05:03:51Z

Oh man, I spent way longer on this game trying to beat level 2 than I thought I did! Super fun. Could have definitely benefitted from audio but I liked feeling like a Snow White dwarf.

Beepo's Shop by itsBoats 2021-04-27T06:14:42Z

Seriously one of my favorites so far. This game's got it all. I am HOOKED! What an impressive game from just 72 hours. Love the whole dang thing!

Spectregram by blob 2021-04-27T04:49:59Z

Nicely done on the SFX! A little loud but really well thought out.

MinesweeperDeeper by DainTheDeer 2021-04-27T02:23:55Z

Really neat! Quirky character and neat gameplay. I think you could have really benefitted from a music loop, though, even a simple one!

LD49 — Unstable

Islands of Chess by frozenfire92 2021-10-05T03:13:23Z

this is beautifully done!! I had a really great time playing; really impressed that you're networked! I also love the space aesthetic. Worked really well! Bravo to you!!

Radiopathic by Tsunscreen 2021-10-07T03:01:08Z

Oooh, this really gave me twilight-zone vibes. All the way through, I felt totally unsettled! Really appreciated the Easter egg station on my second play-through. Seriously amazing work for such a short amount of time!! Bravo!!

U-49 Meltdown by Blue Pin Studio 2021-10-05T18:26:15Z

I really liked the VO element of this game!! That's not easy to do and I think you pulled it off well. I definitely wanted to keep playing even though I was pretty terrible at it, so bravo all around!

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-05T02:28:11Z

I had a really fun time with this game! It's the right amount of "get gud" to keep me motivated, but not too much to make me rage. Really lovely stuff!

Rickety Ranch by GreenXenith 2021-10-05T03:31:53Z

This had me legitimately laughing out loud. The horse getting punted it a strong start, but the post-pig cut scene had me rolling. SO good, what a great interpretation of the theme! The only thing I felt was missing was some rad banjo behind this bonkers horse.

Maintenance by Maxthedoom 2021-10-05T03:28:17Z

This looks awesome, but Microsoft security isn't having your .exe :slight_frown: But it looks like it nailed the theme!

Deck O' Discord by Bearacus 2021-10-05T02:39:17Z

This was really fun! My main issue is that I couldn't manage to make the window any bigger, so everything was on the small side. But I had a good time playing (just leaning forward a bit), and I adored "Card Monte." (I really had to keep an eye on that shield!) Lovely work, everyone!

INSTABILIS (LATIN) by zakaria 2021-10-05T03:22:20Z

Peculiar in the most thematic way!! The lens effect was trippy and great. Well done!

Beff Jezos: Time Shift Manager by Sine Nomine 2021-10-05T03:24:29Z

Echoing @grimmpaperman, I also didn't get to enjoy the game but I just LOVE the premise. IF you do an itch.io page/submission, could you ping this thread??

UR TNT by ADerpyChickenStudios 2021-10-05T02:33:33Z

Really loved this one!! I have to say the only thing that hung me up was getting used to space not being a jump. But other than that, super solid, and really fun! I especially liked the last stage! :)

Bugsy's Barbershop by Cosmonautical 2021-10-05T03:18:30Z

This is hilarious and fantastic. The music is awesome and perfectly fitting, the dialogue totally got me in both content and quality (because yes, I did indeed f--- up), and I just loved the whole vibe. Super entertaining.

Castle of Chaos by almightyzentaco 2021-10-07T03:07:06Z

The voice acting is on point!! I especially liked the death screens. Maybe I just have to *git gud* but I found the controls a little difficult. But really awesome work!!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Legacy Survivors by quill18 2022-04-05T02:12:45Z

I played this for WAY longer than I meant to, just because it's so addictive. It gives me Rogue Legacy vibes and I am here for it. As a sound/music person, the "ba da da daaa" for the treasure chest got me right in the funny bone, and the use of your voice for the enemies are just *chef's kiss*. Bravo!!

The Inglorious Yet Highly Stimulating Life of an Underpaid Graduate Student 2 by Kyle Farwell 2022-04-05T05:49:27Z

As a current grad student, this made me laugh! I think the idea is great, and I love that you got to choose your ringtone. I did have a serious audio issue with the "WOOOOOO" at the end of a successful day--if mixed better, that could have been great, but as it was, it was just too much audio information.

The art is the perfect amount of weird and great! The detail in the background is fantastic.

Final Forest by MartensCedric 2022-04-05T07:52:23Z

I am in the same boat as @boclow -- on a desktop and can't get the file running. It brings up the terminal and cites an error, then closes. So, I'm sorry to say I can't review it--I wish I could because it looks SO good!! :slight_frown:

Bomb Fuse Madness by svntax 2022-04-05T05:59:33Z

You hit the nail on the head for the theme! I seemed to have a little bit of trouble getting the fuses to shred on the Web build. Definitely heightened the anxiety, and the balance of fuse/fire/impending doom was great! Well done!

Block or Bust by 100th_Coin 2022-04-05T03:37:31Z

This is just AMAZING. I have already sent it to all of my Ludum Dare teammates/friends with a very emphatic **you have to play this** along with it. I love the mild hassle of the wardrobe change. There is nothing about this I didn't love!!

Bussin by bitdecay 2022-04-06T08:03:12Z

Fewer things have brought me the same level of joy in this jam as when I accidentally yeeted a shot glass and it spun out of existence on the first try of this game. It's hysterical! There's no way in hell I'm reaching a goal but what a game. Sent it to my team so they can all ~~suffer~~ struggle with me.

A bit of audio feedback was that the ambience was just a bit too loud--maybe a little less restaurant chatter and a little more of the music in the mix? The breaking SFX were on point--loved that.

I Know What You Did Last Ludum Dare! by TentacleMax 2022-04-05T01:21:19Z

Love the vibe! Music is great, sprite work is fantastic. Was definitely bummed I couldn't resize the screen. It's just the right level of difficulty in its mechanics! Lovely work!

EDIT: I'm surprised I can't rate you on audio?? I'd love to give you stars for that!

Slime Showdown by ToC 2022-04-05T07:58:48Z

Fun!! I loved the look of the enemies. Felt very much like a classic dungeon game, and having the boss constantly follow you with all the little enemies about is very fitting for the theme!

Board to DEATH by nsadie 2022-04-06T08:48:01Z

I have virtually nothing but good things to say about this game. Loved the writing, LOVED the graphics/look of it (SO polished for a game jam!), and was immediately hooked. I'm no chess buff but I was pretty proud of getting to do all of the levels. I would 100% play an extended version of this game.

Seriously, the reaper looming over the board in a white, deathly space is just SO cool. 10/10 (or 5/5, I should say).

The *only* hitch I had was how long it took to reset the level, but it's such a minor thing. Didn't detract from my enjoyment of the game at all. Excellent ending, too!!

Click to Continue by Daniel Foutz 2022-04-05T01:26:59Z

This is the perfect amount of ridiculous. I can't believe how long I clicked for. Guess I'm an idiot sandwich after all. LOVE it!

Bomb Threat by Lychee 2022-04-05T03:58:00Z

I found your game on Twitter--so glad you posted there, otherwise I might have missed this!

I have to say I really liked the concept, and for a jam, it works great. I think the inclusion of more puzzles and a balancing system would suit this well. I got to solve 50 puzzles but had so much time that I never really felt like I was in peril. So in that sense, it felt a little far from the theme in execution, but the concept is spot on.

Cat in the Bag by JoshH 2022-04-06T09:00:45Z

There's nothing about this game that I didn't absolutely **love**!! The writing is fantastic, and I love the D&D approach with the little old kitty DM! Love the name of the cat, too. Would absolutely play an extended version of this game.

Don't Die, Dodo! by Baconeta 2022-04-06T07:48:16Z

dontdiedodo.jpg

This was SO fun!! I definitely improved, but the river was my downfall. :sob: The art is fantastic, and the music loop is perfect! I feel like this could be really well adapted to a tablet or mobile game, like Tiny Wings? So fun and so great!

ETA the Dodo Facts are hilarious and a super polished add-on to this game. Love the detail.

Quackenfarm by InitialPosition 2022-04-05T01:54:35Z

We love a cute protagonist duck. I tried very hard to get him to pay his rent, and I am apparently unfit for the job. But I still had a great time playing, and the music is lovely!

Malpractice by ikelucas 2022-04-05T03:46:23Z

This is hilarious! I love the impending meteor strike being kept at bay by a baseball bat. This is so fun!

Un-Rooted by Denhette 2022-04-06T07:39:51Z

The flavor text combined with the movement and entire concept of the game is absolutely hysterical. "Tell my wife I loved her" / "I've fallen and I can't get up" are just so perfect. This is also exactly how stressed I feel trying to take care of a plant IRL, so you nailed it!!

I Love My Sheep by his-games 2022-04-06T07:29:58Z

I really, really want to love and play this game but I can *not* figure out how to submit something to the altar. I tried on Firefox and couldn't move at all; my character would spin left and right if I hit A/D but W/S did nothing. So now I'm on chrome, and I have the materials collected, but I can't seem to submit them to the altar.

I'll try again after being told how to sacrifice things! :)

Cup Half Full by BangTheWall 2022-04-06T07:14:43Z

My partner and I are now in a friendly war to see who can get the higher score. I'm pretty proud of my 4280 and will edit once I get his score. All this to say, we were immediately taken by your game!! The concept is great and the music loop is absolutely spot on. One thing I might suggest is not letting the loop fade--for a Tetris style game, I need the Tetris-style motivation! Awesome entry overall. :)

EDIT: oof, he was close--3910. But I reign victorious!

Granting Immortality by BluishGreenPro 2022-04-06T06:49:50Z

Getting to the end hit me right in the heart. I'm really glad I didn't see anyone's screenshots before I played, because the ending screen was an absolutely amazing experience. I was not expecting to have such an emotional, mindful, or introspective experience in this jam, but here we are, and I am floored. Beautiful concept and 10/10 execution. (Or for our purposes, 5/5.) Causes-for-Immortality

Protocol Delta by itsBoats 2022-04-05T08:10:56Z

Love the visuals!! Looking forward to seeing your audio credit, you have a really good loop. The visuals, audio, and motion all match wonderfully!

Delay Dragon by dindotjs 2022-04-05T05:19:37Z

What a fun game!! Not going to lie, I rode the struggle bus for most of it with the controls, but it was still super enjoyable. I sent it to my partner and he beat it quickly, and we both had a lot of fun with it. Music is cute and the dragon sprite is adorable! Lovely work!

Tax Evasion by slashdevslashzero 2022-04-05T01:15:47Z

What a great take on the theme. The music is spot-on, and while I wasn't very good at the game, I had a great time just jamming along to the beat!

On one play-through, my game lagged super hard and I had to restart. But I'm pretty proud that I made $33k before the IRS shut me down! Great game, guys!

LD52 — Harvest

Revengetables by adam-gould 2023-01-16T04:06:00Z

Wow, what a thorough entry!! The tutorial was really informative and well-paced. The mechanics were well-implemented, and great job including voice-over into your game! Our game did the same, and it's not easy to do on a tight schedule, so well done! :muscle: Speaking of sound, the music UI was excellent. Top-notch addition to an already good game. There was clearly a ton of effort and thought put into this game, so bravo all around!

Word Salad by kristinamay 2023-01-16T05:09:21Z

Wow, what a unique entry!! I agree with commenters that this would be a fabulous game for learning language. The Mad-Libs style game was so fun! I'm so impressed that you did all the coding, art, and music in just one weekend. SO good!

I did have a little trouble harvesting my vegetables, but I really enjoyed the art style and I always ended the day with all 6 words/phrases, so no complaints there!

One thing I would say for your audio: the music speeds up regardless of the timer, because the sped-up music is built into the loop. That made me feel a little stressed during the final stage, even though I knew it wasn't timed because the instructions said so. So my recommendation would be to:

1. Make two music loops, one for the harvest game and one for the madlibs mini-game, and 2. Swap out faster music for just one SFX to indicate that your time is running low, OR implement a system that shifts to faster music only for the last 10s of each harvest day. (But given that you were in charge of all things in this game, I think just an SFX would be the easier/more efficient route to give consistent information.)

That's just nitpicky stuff. Overall, thought your game was super thoughtful and really engaging. Wonderful entry! :four_leaf_clover:

I can't believe this game doesn't have more ratings!! I had a great time and even streamed it for a friend so we could play together. Some of those words were tough, but it was really fun! The UI was great and the typing sounds were spot-on. One thing I might suggest is a slightly longer audio loop, or a shuffled playlist of short loops, just to keep replayability/long game runs from wearing out the loop. Overall, great entry!!

This was a neat entry!! I agree with other comments that the movement felt a little stilted. But the reaper idea was really well-implemented here and I enjoyed the aesthetic. As an audio guy, I was a little bummed that there wasn't any music, especially since your mood was so clearly defined. Fun idea, bravo!

Hey there! I'm curious to why there's no itch.io page for this if you have a web build? I couldn't get it to run on your LD page, unfortunately.

I was so surprised to find this in the "danger" category! I love the look and aesthetic of this game. I never got particularly good at it, but I thought the mechanics were really interesting. Love the spin on the theme, too. Great entry!

Wow, what a great compo entry! This was so fun!! Fewer things have brought me joy this Ludum Dare as much as **yeeting** the trees in this game. The SFX were on point. The background loop wasn't half-bad, but since it's a timed game, a consideration for the future would be to make the loop a little more intense as time goes on. (I know loops can be confining, especially on Amped, but drums are a really effective way to amp up intensity over time.) Lovely entry!

Stellar on account of the Shrek inclusion. Odd, quirky, but memorable for sure.

Wow, what a lovely entry!! I enjoyed learning about the Skritek, and I thought the gameplay was really fun.

I liked the ability to toggle music, but I do wish the music loop was a little longer. I think for a game like this, a slightly longer loop with a little more form would have gone a long way. But the audio aesthetic was great, and I'm a huge fan of the shooting SFX. Great entry!!

This is SO ADDICTING. I absolutely loved the mechanics, and the recipes were really clever. I fumbled right before making the Big Breakfast, but it was such a fun game to play!!

I think my only teeny-tiny constructive criticism was the tongue-click SFX. All of the other sounds were so lovely (the bell, the placement of items, etc) but since that sound effect is heard SO much, it might have been better to be more subtle and less mouth-sounding. (A little sizzle to signify when the item has finished cooking would have been great, too, but that's just being nit-picky.)

Loved the aesthetic, loved the background music, and the art was adorable! Super fun game and great entry.

Gummy Gobs by Kirsten-Lee 2023-01-16T03:55:36Z

This is a very memorable entry!! "Tooth-harvesting goblin" is now on my list of fears.

I thought the gameplay was really unique. A few things I think would have elevated this entry:

1. Audio FX for when the green progress bar raises 2. More UI indication for loss/victory: "Try Again!" or "Great Job!" nothing fancy, just something to tell me what's going on. 3. A menu with Restart and Quit options.

Overall, great job!
