Made chrome crash + stop responding after the progress-bar reached mid-way. Has anyone else had this issue? Otherwise it might just be my 2014 Macbook calling it quits haha
Sidenote: I took a look at your git-repo -- Godot code looks quite clean!
@avi That's strange. Might be an issue with the Godot 4 beta I'm using. I'll throw up a downloadable build that might work out better.

But I played till the end and enjoyed it!
My main criticism would be that the game is too easy. You can simply walk past the policemen. Also it would be cool if they followed you or turned their heads when they see you.
EDIT: forgot to say the sound and music is great too!
This game was really fun! The premise is great and the voice lines are very entertaining. It took me a minute to get use to the fact that interacting is on release of E instead of on press, but after that it felt good! There were a couple times when an enemy was able to spot me through a wall, and the enemy detection upgrade felt less impactful than the others. The speed upgrades are really fun, watching this old man blast through a cemetery and gleefully dig up body parts. Unfortunately, the game crashed before I was able to buy the friend, after looping through the levels a few times, but it was definitely worth playing!
Well polished game! Good pacing, managed to make a friend. All the elements came together really well, audio, gameplay, theme were great! Thanks for making this!
I don't know if it's my pc, but it kept giving an error and didn't want to open the game, you could see what happened and reload the game on your platform or something, I couldn't play, but from the description I was very interested. Even if you've already made some improvements and want to send it to me so I can test it too. I'm available. I never thought digging graves could be so much fun. The game looks great and the atmosphere is fantastic, mostly thanks to the music. I found one minor bug.. the game doesn't reset properly if you play again, so you keep all your powerups. The game doesn't work on Firefox so I had to play on Chrome.
I was a little bored at first, but once I got to the upgrade screen and went into the next graveyard the whole game clicked for me and was really fun! Nice and simple gameplay loop that I'm sure could be expanded with even more levels and mechanics specific to them. I wish the guards noticed you a little faster at first because I feel like I should've gotten caught multiple times, but didn't. Other than that I liked the music and the graphics are nice and work well. Overall a good game!
This is so good. The graphics are great the voice acting is fun. The progression is really cool in that while the first level is a bit tedious you get to re-run it as old man Flash and feel a real sense of progression. Once you have enough upgrades to make it trivial, it's game over. It's a perfect little experience.
Quality stuff! A fun little play, perfect length for a game jam game - nice pixel art and audio, it gave me some Zombie Ate My Neighbours vibes, and I thought the gameplay and controls felt polished and smooth. I loved Gunther's dialogue!
Really solid game! The artstyle is great, main character even has some voice acting. It is also very similar to our entry, but yours, in my opinion is better executed) You inspire me to be better, great entry)

I think others have mentioned this, but I got this error when trying to run it on itch.io. The design and story both look lovely, though!!

Great game! The graphics look really polished and the sound is great too. Just one point I would suggest to improve on: - The difficulty could be a little higher, as it takes a while to get detected by the police. I would suggest to add a mechanic where the police follows you when you're in the flashlight to make it harder to avoid them. And maybe also add proximity detection, as you can just run behind them outside the flashlight range :)
All in all a great fun game, well done!

Really enjoyed this! Very polished for a jam game with great visuals, great audio and a really nice balance to the mechanics. The system for buying items was nice and I liked that there was a conflict of buying power-ups vs saving to buy a friend. I was worried what would happen if I hadn't collected enough parts before the levels ran out but it was nice to see that they repeated. All in all a great entry! My favourite so far.
