what a wonderful little puzzle game! there are some really clever puzzles in here, I particularly liked floor 11. this has such an interesting set of rules, I haven't seen anything quite like this before! it makes for a unique puzzle having no prior intuition about any of the solutions. I don't know if I solved the last level intentionally, I was trying to use the bombs as support thinking that would be clever, but I accidentally solved it before getting to that point. The only thing i was missing was an undo button! but having a state-based checkpoint is an interesting alternative, I wonder if a puzzle could use this behavior intentionally..

great stuff as always :)

This looks absolutely awesome! So bummed I can't play it on my Mac. But your aesthetic is just adorable!

This looks to be a great game. I was a taken back by the flow of the game and found it a little difficult until I got the hang of it. The game could use more color but more than anything I felt that the lack of sound or music made the experience a lot less enjoyable. It's pretty easy to mess up and when I fell of the ledge on the second level nothing happened. I was able to boot the game back up and start from the same level allowing me to continue the game that way. Great concept, the theme is what enticed me to download and play the game.

This has some serious original Dangerous Dave vibes, but better gameplay. I loved the graphics, the dig and bomb mechanic is great

A wonderfully clever take on Boulder Dash. The need to push things against walls leads to some weirdly convoluted solutions, but it's a puzzle game so I'll let that slide. I like the dirt collapsing mechanic. The difficulty curve felt weird but that's just a nitpick, this is a solid little puzzle game!

nice puzzle game, I love it

I love this game and want to give helpful feedback, but pretty much everything I have to say about your game I heard you say on stream.

nice puzzle game.

This is a pretty clever and tough puzzle game. I had a difficult time understanding some of the more complicated mechanics at first (it took me longer than I care to admit to figure out puzzles 2 and 5), but, once I got over those initial hurdles, it was pretty satisfying to pick apart the puzzles. The "push the item into a wall to collect it" mechanic was pretty unique, and lead to a lot of interesting scenarios. The collapsing dirt mechanic was also cool, though a bit tricky to get my head around. I also like how the ability to dig through any dirt block can create some very open ended level layouts. Some of the puzzles were SO open ended it was difficult to figure out where to start (lots of false starts and red herrings), but it was satisfying nonetheless when I finally figured it out piece by piece (albeit after minutes of banging my head against the wall). Overall, a very satisfying experience.

Good puzzle game! Pixel art is charming and puzzles are simple and hard.

Incredible game. The mechanics are great and I loved the level design, level 14 in particular was very satisfying to solve. The lack of undo occasionally got frustrating given how easy it is to get into an unwinnable position and, aside from the last level, the checkpoint system never helped me.

I'm loving this! excellent puzzles that hit hard and require careful thought. I'm quitting for now but I'll definitely come back and finish the last ~1/3 of the game another day!

Wow, that was a blast! Nice and consistent set of mechanics, I like how something simple like the "only grab object if pushed against something" rule is what makes this game so intricate. Level were difficult, but never unfair, and with a lot of variety between them. I miss an undo feature as well as some sound, but game jams have some limits. Congratulation!

I love the artwork! Great job!.

So I just completed the game. It has really nice puzzles in there. The rules are refreshing, unlike most of the boulderdash rules. The 'get item only when cant be push' is interesting and it gives a lot of puzzle possibilities, and the 2 turn bombs is nice and easy, and the earth dropping at bomb blasts is a very complex rule.

The puzzles shows off a lot interactions between the rules, and nice graphics too! I can't do that much in 72 hours myself, so you must have done a lot during the jam.

If you are going to update the game, I'd hope you can make the game window movable, so that I can watch your stream and play the game at the same time. :)

Anyway, I really enjoyed it.

Really fun puzzle game. Could not beat level 14, will likely come back with a fresh pair of eyes and try again.

sdata 2021-04-29 03:07

Really effective ruleset! I couldn't crack level 14, but hope to revisit the postjam version down the road! Definitely makes me want to recreate it in the Baba editor too haha!

Wow this game is amazing, the puzzles give me the vibes of when i was a child and i played that game where you have to move the boxes in the correct spots.. it's really good Stuck on level 9 rn but i'll finish it.. i swear

Great game! I'm quite impressed by how many levels and ingenuity went into a LD entry. My favorite levels were 11 (I like these funny ways of advancing with more throughput/results than the simple way) and level 14 (The level needed a clever use of mechanics. I needed to take a step back after a few attempts and think a bit to come up with the solution).

I don't know if some levels are a bit trolling, or you can actually cheese them a bit, clearing them in simpler ways than it looks like (like 15 for example). This didn't make them any less fun, though.

I felt that I rarely actually used the checkpoints, or that I never knew if I wanted to take them (in case I had already screwed up the level before taking them). Also, having played 'Baba is You' made me miss an undo button, but can't blame it on this game.

The mechanics are introduced gradually and clearly, but it felt a bit weird to see a new mechanic and then seeing the next couple levels not using it at all. I also wished the game had some music or even just sound. It would add more life to the game.

This is by difference the LD48 game I've played the longest so far, keeping the fun all the time and not feeling repetitive. Well done overall!

sunblast 2021-05-01 21:38

Great game, a little hard at times but fun. The mechanics feels clean and makes for good puzzles, as others mentioned already a undo would be nice as a bad move sometimes results in a restart. Would love to see more of it in the future!

kenforest 2021-05-05 18:03

Beautiful fun puzzle game. Good job

fabula-rasa 2021-05-05 19:48

Great puzzle design! Levels were very satisfying to solve, some even a bit diabolical. But sill: clever, not frustrating. Really, really well done!

Graphics are clean and consistent. Some delicate, non-intrusive background music would be welcome.

If I have one complaint it's that I sometimes wished that movement buttons and digging buttons were not the same ones. It happened to me more than once (especially when going down the ladder) that I dug by accident and had to restart the level. Maybe something like hold Shift + arrows to dig. But that's a very minor complaint, and it may be that it's only me :D.

Anyway, great job on the game! Loved it.

Great to see another lore in baba-universe. Most of the puzzles were good, but I have to admit some puzzles involving bombs were frustrating to solve. The rules about geometry connection was unintuitive to me, and I couldn't figure out why some parts are floating and some fall after explosion. In the end I had to do trial and error to solve them. Also I noticed some of the checkpoints were placed where reaching will put you to an unwinnable state. But hey, there were actually great levels too! I loved the one with 3 gems where (spoiler, rot13)lbh pneel gjb trzf qbja gur ybat iregvpny cngu naq znxr n oevqtr jvgu gurz.

etrealjunior 2021-05-16 17:02

Congratulations on the game, the puzzle system is very cool, I ended up crashing in a phase, but by my mistake, I hope to see you continuing this game, because it is very cool, maybe including a story can add a larger number of players, one big hug.

ray-flower 2021-05-17 05:43

Super cute and fun! The puzzle mechanics are really innovative and inventive. I think the fact that items stay where they are when there's a ladder behind it interesting, and surprisingly challenging! I like that each thing has two different uses or mechanics. It feels very much like Baba Is You, which I think is a great compliment for this game

minidavid 2023-01-11 01:31

super impressive game
