grandma! grandpa! Fun little puzzles! Games within a game are always tricky since you are basically making multiple games instead of 1!

grandma! grandpa! Fun little puzzles! Games within a game are always tricky since you are basically making multiple games instead of 1!
This was cool. I'm not great at the puzzles, but I really liked where you guys were going with this!
This was quite different! Must have been tricky to implement puzzles in such a short time. That said, I didn't get terribly far but this was a neat idea.
Ended up stuck with a coffee machine and a battery, but I had fun with the puzzles I saw.
couldn't figure out the coffer one? I got battery but then what? coffee spelt full up but no energy and i didn't see the battery after i got it? Not bad otherwise.
This was an enjoyable little game. I like the way you choose to do the voice acting very much.
@profit @syrail We figured out that was an error, in some cases you picked the battery and it was not appearing in the coffee puzzle. :( We have solved it in the "Fixed 2 hours later" version, if you want to finnish it feel free to do it ^^ And thanks for the comments! We are on our way to try your games :)
Reminds me of the point and click escape flash games I played back in the day. Very nostalgic :) Nice illustrations at the start and end!
i loved it, but i also hate that i finished the cat/fox puzzle but it doesn't tell me that I finished it :( i feel like one of the pieces is slightly off and i can't tell which one.
still, super fun!
I like the idea and wanted to play more. I got stuck with the coffee machine. I picked up what I thought was a battery but couldn't figure out how to put it in the coffee machine. Eventually, I walked through the locked door and it sent me to the credits!
Boy it took me a while to get through the first tangram! There does not seem to be a lot of forgiveness there.
The control scheme is unfortunate. I full screened the game, but when I press ESC to exit an interaction, it exits full screen mode as well.
Overall I thought it was fun. I liked where you were going with it!
I am not sure how pixel perfect the cat puzzle needs to be, but I put in all parts and nothing is happening. I feel these parts need to snap in place a little. Is this the bug that breaks the game?
It has a nice vibe to it and it has cute art, but yeah, kinda stuck.
@flaterectomy yes, that's the bug we mentioned in the description. You can go further in the "Fixed 2 hours later" version we published!
How the hell di grandpa got it there!! haha, very cool game, really fun puzzles, artwork is amazing and the music and sfx go along very well. Movement was a bit to slow but not a real issue. Great job!! I had the same issue about the cat, did not see the fixed version, I think I'll give a try later!
@flaterectomy yep :( that's what is broken in the "In time version".
@andyem @holy Remember certain bug fixes after the jam ends are allowed:
*"Certain Bug Fixes are allowed. You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline. You are asked to highlight the changes you make in your submission (a short change log). You probably wont get a 2nd chance with some players, but at least it wont be a problem for future players"*

In my estimation a progress-blocking bug would fall into that category.
@flaterectomy We were not sure about that, but we agree with you :) We have deleted the link to the "broken" version and added a shot change log explaining that. Thank you for your comment! ^^
I don't know if it was intended, but I could walk right through the final door after filling the cups.
@hugimugi7 this will be a secret between you and me (joking) but you can run through this door since the beggining of this room ;)
I thought I could escape my destiny, but I guess not :P The puzzles were pretty good for a game jam. I had the most trouble in the first room, some of the puzzle controls were not very intuitive for me. The safe combination lock should have either worked like a normal combination or just been a code that you punched in, I spent a long time trying to figure out how I was supposed to enter the code. The tile slide puzzle had me scratching my head for a long time as well because I didn't realize you had to click and drag the gray bar down to the bottom. It also might have been easier if the tangram pieces rotated 45 degrees at a time instead of smoothly. Besides those hitches, everything else went well and it was fun. I'm terrible at making puzzle games, so you have my respect. Nice entry!
I put all the shapes in the cat but nothing happens? Otherwise interesting little game :)
This was fun to play; I like the variety of puzzles! I don't know if this was intended, but when I got the tangram pieces in the second room the door opened right away, and then when I looked at the horse puzzle the pieces weren't there so I couldn't do the puzzle (and didn't need to since the door was open). I didn't like that the grandpa you're saving kills you at the end though; it felt jarring and disturbing and confusing.
i love puzzles, so i enjoyed doing those, but i think the roaming around the room feels too much when the puzzles are the main thing and some of them do take some time to complete. i also got stuck in the first room as a few others did and didnt realize i needed to drag the gray bar down to complete the circuit. would like to be able to rotate the tangrams 45 degrees instead of the smooth rotation, more like a tetris feel. i honestly was not a fan of the speaking sounds at the beginning, but take that with a grain of salt, as that's just personal preference on my part! cool concept!
Wow, very interesting and tricky puzzles, and the music is nice too!
Nice little head scratcher!
Love the set up and the reveal and it's a shame you couldn't implement the final puzzle fully but I enjoyed the puzzles you had. With more time I'm sure you're aware of quality-of-life fixes like being able to pull down the handles for the lever puzzle instead of having to cycle through states by clicking and having the picture puzzle shape having the objects perhaps snap into place when correct (if you wanted to make it easier) and better hitboxes/detection.
Other than that I think a bit more puzzles and a more fleshed out narrative (that I'm sure you have!) would make this a great little puzzley/point n clickish game =].
Great stuff and congrats on finishing!
I solved the puzzles, but the game got stuck when I went into the laboratory.
The picture puzzle would benefit from snapping the rotation more, and allowing rotation to both sides.
Nice puzzle game, I wish there were more of them :) I really like the art style and the music. I got stuck in the second room, I didn't really understand what happened with the coffee machine, I ran out of cups and could not do anything after  I wish I could have seen the ending. But otherwise it was fun!
Perhaps the best thing I could recommend is trying to ensure a sense of "cohesion" between puzzles in the game. By this, I mean keep controls similar to each other so that the user doesn't get confused by inputs they didn't know they could make. Displaying the puzzle controls / objective would also help, but I know it's not ideal since you're hoping the puzzle is intuitive enough to solve without having to spell out how to do it. Thanks again for submitting the game to my stream!
Good game that respect the theme of this year !!!
The tangram puzzles are far too unforgiving and annoying. Even after I had mentally solved the cat puzzle, it took me like 10 minutes just to get the pieces rotated and placed into the exact positions. If the pieces snapped to 45 degree angles, and maybe snapped their positions to a grid, it would have been much less annoying.
Other than the tangrams though, I liked the puzzles!
I love puzzles! Great entry with nice art!
