Love Linguini's outfit! Really quirky and fun.
Cool! I like the low poly art style.
Good graphics. Well worked out
The movement feels very good. Liking the expansive caverns. The crossbow doesn't feel very satisfying to use so I just parkoured around all the spiders
I go down several caves, fought some spiders with my crossbox and my saber. But my favourite weapon is definitivly the plank. The procedural generation is working very well. Nice job.
Nice. Gave me vibes of an old school Moctezuma 3D game.
Damn, the spiders are creepy.
Very nice atmosphere for the game. The crossbow was a bit lack-luster. Overall a really nice game.
I really like the art style! The movement feels good, but the jump on the first platform felt quite hard (maybe I missed some double jump mechanic?) The loading mechanic is nice, but the angle of the shooting feels a bit weird.
Good job! 🕷

@brutor Nice life hack :) If you want to try speedrunning, you can compete against my record. I think it's around 1:26 https://drive.google.com/file/d/19uZKCssCV1zi0AK0bnMl3e2GrrR8bPvj/view?usp=sharing thanks for playing! :)
It gave me goosebumps and it was a stressful adventure but I loved every part of it! Good job!!!
Nice little game you made, I especially love the art style. The different weapons are cool even if the crossbow shoot is quite hard to master (but legitimate given that it can kill spiders before they spot you, could use a rework to make it less overpower but with a more intuitive shoot) I did not finish (what I think was) the last level after many attempts tho: using near pixel perfects jump when there is alread pressure from arrows and lava can be quite frustrating, especially given how far the respawn point is (maybe using a checkpoint for the end would do the trick) (or maybe I am just bad and that's just me :p dont consider this paragraph if Im the only one feeling that way ^^) I would make the music loop within a level: as I took some time to shoot spiders in big rooms, I spent about 2/3 of each levels without music
I might seem quite hard on my comments but don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed your game, it was fun to play with a really good atmosphere
@vivien-fargette thanks so much for spending time writing all that! I agree with what you said about the final level, the jumps are really hard. You are able to jump from a block for a fraction of a second after leaving it, maybe that helps. If we ever do a post mortem, this feedback will be our checklist. :)
cool game, in the theme, just need a little less spiders... lol
The feeling of the weapons was terrible in my opinion. I couldn't figure out the range of the crossbow as the bolt didn't seem to come from where it's on the screen, don't seem to travel far and straight and it just didn't felt right. Similar for the plank and saber, I don't know how close I need to be to the enemies for them to reach, and there isn't good enough feedback to know if it hits or not.
That said, the movements felt really good in comparison, and when I played it without trying to kill the enemies, and just tried to run through the levels it was nice to play. The jump height felt a bit low but it worked well enough for me not having problem traversing the levels. If the weapons had more kick (e.g. 1 hit kill on most enemies, fast load on the crossbow, better feedback...) it could have felt like the original doom as a pirate in a cave.
Loved the low-poly art style! The soundtrack is also very good at setting the mood. I was impressed with the level of polish of some things like the stagger animation on the spiders. One thing I think you could improve on, from what I could tell it made no difference how much you charged the crossbow before shooting regarding damage, so I ended up abusing that by charging it as little as possible in close-ish range. Some more enemy variety would also be nice, but overall what you have here is really solid on its own. Well done!
@feor @thebmxeur thanks for spending time writing all that! some notes: we agree with you about the crossbow - it's kind of hard to get used to, maybe we should have added a crosshair, or some other indicator. @thebmxeur were you playing with sound? The indications rely quite strongly on sound effects. thanks for the detailed weapon feedback. @feor there is a slight variation in damage depending on which parts of the spider you hit, amount of time crossbow is aimed for, etc. maybe these were too small to be noticeable though. It's always fun to see people find exploits in the game like that.
Feels like a complete game! Very cool!.
nice game !
Overall, a really nice and solid game! Loved the ArtStyle... it also feels like a complete game! Really well done also with audio.
I agree with @feor about the weapon! But it's still an amazing game.
Really enjoyed it myself. Nothing like a good jumping game! Hopping around spiders and platforms took me back to days of Jax and Daxter. Art was great.
More feedback on attacks and being hit would be nice. Can spiders kill you? I felt like I took quite a few hits at times but never knew if I was close to dying or not.
Ultimately it was quite a cool little platformer and I was slightly disappointed when it ended. I wanted more challenges! Great work!
Neat game! It was pretty engaging, although I am generally terrible at platforming. I thought the environment and ambience were great, but I found the combat to be pretty lacking. It also seems like the spiders would stop tracking me if I was moving quickly, so it was pretty easy to just run past the enemies if there were too many.
It felt good to hold back and charge the crossbow. Love the artstyle and the lighting.
Nicely polished, indeed. Almost no bugs. I liked it. Last level was almost impossible to master, was forced to run around the walls because platforms are too distant
@corruptor2037 I made that last level 30 min before submission XD. Its definitely too hard, even for me who made it.
Nice game! Some of the jumping puzzles is a little bit frustrating, and it was a little bit hard to aim with the crossbow, but I liked it!
Very fun and challenging game! I loved the spider physics! So scary when the big spider launched a web ball and I paralyzed hahaha.
Arachnophobia entered the chat :D Great job guys! Liked the style, the gameplay. Spiders are creepy indeed.
