Nice play on the mental state being the unstable factor. Unique and dark I like it.

Love the audio & visuals, really nailed the aesthetic. Good work!

The art is really good, but a major issue is the font. I can barely read it and I had to quit early because of it :(

Great game! It's a pretty neat and innovative response to the theme. I like the concept of maintaining the mental stability of soldiers through the news, and the strategy that comes with which broadcasts you let through. Additionally the graphics are amazing, as well as the audio. The main issue I had though was that I often can't save people, because being in the front or back multiple times immediately sends a soldier away. So, needless to say, I never lasted long in the several times I played, and while the game is well made, I feel like I'd quickly start to lose interest if I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how I need to do things. Other than those problems though, I liked the game. Well done!

Really like the art style and the overall mood, and I think it was clever to have the instability come out through the character's mental states. The font was occasionally hard to read, and sometimes the sound effects (specifically of the guns I think) were a little too loud. Overall solid entry!

The game was really cool and thematic. I did find it a bit too dark for me, but it definitely stands out. I think that adding a way to see more information / organise information in an overview would have helped me with making decisions, rather then having to navigate between screens. Great pixel art style, and the the 3d head thing was really cool! The screen lines did make things hard to read.

Interesting entry! I really liked the art and audio, definitely painted a "war is hell" vibe. It would be clearer if there was more of an indication of what effects it would have and current state. The flashing lights were a bit much and would be nice if this was toggleable/toned down. I think with some iteration this could become an interesting game reminiscent of reigns. Keep up the good work!

Really unique entry, get a lot of this war of mine vibes from this game. Only feedback I'd give is I think we could've used some more information or a proper tutorial. Other than that, the art was great, the story was sad 10/10

Very cool atmosphere and art! The gameplay is a bit abstruse, especially in how you can judge the way your actions affect the soldiers ((I noticed a typo on that word in the intro text btw)).

I liked it!

So, I really enjoyed the vibe and art. That was topnotch. However, the text was very hard to read and I could not figure out what I was doing. Unique game, great art-style and vibe.

I love the graphics and the atmosphere of the game is amazing :) Would have been nice though for it to be easier to differentiate what the soldiers names are.

Pretty novel concept. The font was a little wonky, but otherwise extremely polished presentation!

lexian 2021-10-07 10:35

Very interesting interpretation of the theme.Love it.

goddoesplaydice 2021-10-07 11:59

Very rare on this jam and cool concept! We wanted to make a game about mental stability ourselves, but then we decided we couldn't do it. The visual of the game goes well with the theme and sets the mood! Good job!

Very cool entry. Not sure I ever figured out if whatever I was doing was the right thing.

I'm not really an aficionado with this style game, but I feel like the UI buried information behind those different menus when some or all of it could have fit on one screen. Especially the soldier's mental state, where it seems we need to tediously look through each of their conditions before making a decision about where to put them and which story to pick. There's also the element of needing to match names and faces that feels kind of... not fun.

The artwork is great, the idea is cool, and the presentation and mood is very good (those little animated sections between runs are very cool). Good job everyone!

A really cool entry! I had a lot of trouble with reading the font, but even then I could tell the care behind the game. The radio-style audio was really well done, and all the artwork was beautiful as well. I unfortunately had to just poke around until things happened to get the game working, but I can still tell a lot of awesome work went in. Great job!

I was playing since the moment you shared it in my post. That's a very psychological game, you nailed "Unstable" perfectly, going with "losing sanity". Sometimes the font made it hard to read the text and in the beginning I was very lost, but eventually I got the hang of it.
