It's a little bit hard to play with pizza in my other hand, when attack button is "P", but it was really fun! Loved the artstyle btw

@hasuverse thank you so much! glad you enjoyed
I like the graphics. The controls could use some work. I noticed that you can push O during the dialogue and still roll, even roll off the cliff, and hover in air. Also, the instructions don't tell you how to jump, I found it on accident.
Awesome! As a not skilled gamer the ghosts were a bit difficult since I couldn't get rid of them. Graphics and intro are very polished!
@shaolin-dave thanks for the feedback! and yeah, i'll have to add jumping to the controls intructions, whoops! @mech-alina thank you for the feedback! the enemies can be a bit difficult, but rolling helps to avoid the attacks.
awesome art assets guys!!!
I like the art but was a very difficult game. Maybe try a easier first level/section to warm people up to the game. Ghosts following you everywhere kinda sucked while trying to figure out the mechanics.
Graphics and music are very nice. When I there was an attack I was hoping I was going to throw the pizza at them
@jpgfg thanks so much! @crimoudin thanks for the feedback! yeah, it was hard finding a balance between too hard and too easy.
The art is great and the animations look smooth, the overall mood of the game is nice! The player movement could be smoother though. Good game!
I absolutely loved this! Such a fun spin on the theme.
@bonesteeler thank you! haha yeah that would have been funny, but then what would you deliver to the customer? lol
@mtwhateverest @teenythanos thanks! we had a lot of fun making this one. glad you enjoyed!
I think it would take a bit to master the controls but I really enjoyed this! Neat colors, cool musical vibe. And of course, a great double-whammy for using the deeper and deeper theme!
Thanks for participating in the jam!
I really liked your character model and enjoyed the martial arts style.
I couldnt figure out the puzzle to get through the book case. I see you have some solutions here but didn't see that before I played the game.
I liked the art style.
The roll was nice, but the jump felt a little floaty to me.
Nice work!
@jeremy-scott-olsen @jonathan-turner thanks so much for playing our game! :) i wanted to spend more time on the bookcase puzzle and maybe put a few more hints hidden around the level, but unfortunately and not surprisingly i ran out of time haha.
Really cool game. The controls and combat were a little clunky, but the incredible graphics, sound, storyline, and concept made up for it. Great work!
Fun game! In the second level, I found out you can ride a skeleton without it attacking you (and it still moves!) . I used this to ride from skeleton to skeleton to get to the exit. I liked the aesthetic and found it very enjoyable.
@greatcadet @dae-udain thanks for the reviews! the controls and combat could have used some fine tuning for sure haha
The animations are so smooth and the gameplay neat! The only problem I had was the FPS :/ I have a mid end computer and could play it properly!. Other than that goo job!
Art and mood was great. I like how it got steadily sketchier as we went down. The final boss was fun, although I wasn't able to win. I thought you were setting me up when you added a button to eat the pizza and I was glad to see it pay off at the end of the game.
I ended up not fighting anything. The enemies were trivial to just roll through and avoid and the fighting was difficult. The skeles didn't seem to get knocked back enough and would always hit me with the club even if I hit them first.
Very nicely done and the three (four?) hit combo looks great!
@roberto-romao thanks for the review! sorry to hear about the FPS issue! There's definitely a few things that could be ironed out. @minibobbo glad you enjoyed, thanks! the enemies can be a bit difficult unfortunately, but i'm glad it wasn't so difficult and you were able to make it to the end! we definitely enjoyed adding two endings depending on if you ate the pizza or not!
The game looks amazing and thank you for posting puzzle solutions for people like me who aren't good at thinking outside the box lol.
@ddesigndude thanks! yeah i remember getting a few comments about the puzzle being too hard from some of our last game jam entries, so i figured i'd post the solutions for anyone who wants to play the game but isn't so much into the puzzle aspect of it.
Really really good. Loved the art and the character controlled super well!
Ah, trying not to die while delivering pizza. A common problem.
@zfert @bernard-bumblebutt thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed :)
I like the arts and audios, the jumping is a bit slippery. I couldn't pass the bookshelf though  one thing I think it might be better to have that you can attack while jumping. Good job!
Super cool entry, I really love the player graphics/attacks especially!
Fun game! Loved the art and lighting used to create the atmosphere of the game. The game plays great and the platforming is pretty responsive, but I wished the jump wasn't so high since I was overshooting a lot of platforms. I'm not sure I would have been able to figure out the puzzle on my own but I appreciate the inclusion of a puzzle element.
@thain @nethead @seanlim thank you for the feedback! there were a few things (like jumping) that could have used more tweaking if we'd had more time haha, but i'm glad you all enjoyed the game! :)
The solution for the library puzzle came to me when I wasn't even at the computer, man I'm slow haha. I went back and finished the game (without eating the pizza). I found the movement/fighting a bit clunky, but the art and sound were great, very well done!
@guimm12 thanks so much! i wish i'd had more time to work on the library puzzle to make it a bit easier to solve, but i'm glad you were able to!
I love the art and animation! The controls were a little difficult getting used to, and I had to brute force the puzzles. But I had fun, great work!
Generally pretty nice game! The controls felt kind of slow, and for some reason in the last section my health bar was invisible? But other than that really nice.
I loved the graphics and design, the jumping felt ok, really my only problem was the controls, having to use space and p,o,e,and t for buttons puts your hand in a super uncomfortable position like you're trying to vulkan nerve pinch your keyboard. could have used some invulnerability time after hits too, first time i got to gunther he insta-killed me because I got stuck on his axe.
Awesome art and music, had a blast playing this one!
got stuck on the bookcase puzzle. it's very slippery and the attack button should probably be z (or bindable)
I didn't really have the same control problems over people seemed to be having, felt fine to me. The spritework and animations were sick, and jumping felt good. The only issue I had was with the punching which I think could have felt nicer (maybe using heavier key-framing to make it snappier)but that's also personal preferance. Still for the time-frame what you got is really impressive and I thought it was pretty fun!
This was fun! I enjoyed the pun take on the theme. The character animation was great, I was really impressed with it. The skeleton enemies felt unexpectedly challenging, when taking into account our relative attack ranges, how attacking them knocks them out of the player's attack range without interrupting their attack, how you can't move while attacking and how they turn to continue facing the player mid-attack when you roll past them. It's really hard to fight them without taking at least one hit, and I ended up just running past them instead of fighting. Kind of a multi-layered problem, but I think there could be a few different solutions. I liked the tennis mechanics in the boss fight at the end, it made it a little more interesting! Puzzles felt just tricky enough.
Overall, good job!
I was DETERMINED to get the full pizza to Mr Natas. Finally I did it, but having a respawn at the third point would have been nice =) Great job getting this all together for a jam, it was all pretty cohesive and fun! The animations especially stood out to me as well done.
@chris-hay yeah there's a bugfix update coming that will fix that, it was literally one line of code that I forgot, sorry about that lol
@junebug Thanks for playing and the great feedback June!
Well done graphics and audio (I especially liked the roll animation, the spinning kick, and the painting in the background of the first area), and a surprisingly lengthy game with 3 (!) boss fights.
The movement feels a little bit jerky, and that combined with the skeleton reach advantage made it difficult to get close enough to hit them before they took a swing.
Airborne movement in particular caused me some troubles (I meant to step off a platform just before the first spike pit and instead zoomed straight into the pit). Stepping off of a platform, or jumping while already moving feels like it gives too much velocity on the x-axis and the airborne movement speed is not zippy enough to let me correct my trajectory. As others have mentioned, mid-air attacks would be cool.
I was able to solve the book puzzle (after running around the library looking for hints to no avail), and I felt slightly clever for doing so, but I think that puzzle expects too much from us simple folk haha. For the second puzzle, I didn't even check the environment since it was easier to brute force it (worth noting that I first tried to re-use the logic from the previous puzzle, ie: snake has 1 "limb", bird has 2 wings... but then it fell apart)
Anyway, great work!
@lovewerk thanks so much for the kind comments and the feedback, i'm glad you enjoyed the game! glad you noticed the painting in the background too haha! it was actually based on a picture of mine and @shaner421 's cat!
