Cool idea! Would have appreciated a more bright, less Times New Roman UI for the instructions. The text felt so important but equally tough to engage with, especially when playing in the browser and not full screen. The music was sweet. Nice work!
The text and ui were difficult to read, and I didn't understand the basic gameplay at first, but once I got in to it, I was hooked. Sadly I don't have the brain power for this right now, but man, what a brilliant execution! I was surprised at being disappointed I'm not up to the puzzles just yet, but I'll give it another play when I'm more "here"
Very cool way to structure the puzzles, starts off a hit too hard though.

Could you please turn on "Fullscreen button" frame options on itch.io? The small window makes the text game hard to read
I've never been filtered by a game so quickly as this. I am already absolute trash at Sokoban games and this was no exception. Because I am so bad at these games I wont embarrise everybody by trying to talk about the puzzle design. I will say I enjoyed your short music loop and found it soothing to my soul as I sat pondering my life and how it was that in all those math classes I spent playing Sokoban clones on my TI-84 that I am still so bad at them.

@shawk the itch.io page has been adjusted, thanks for the tip!
@theseusinabottle you might have already encountered this, but each color has its own variation on the track, and most of the colors you can find without too much effort.
What a sokoban game! If you could've watched me play it, many explitives of excitement and gratification were said. What a sokoban game again! Even the music with the different colors. What an amazing game!
Absolutely brilliant mechanic to layer Sokoban puzzles within one-another! Also really enjoyed the relaxing layered music. The text on the side is a neat idea to quickly give people some hints, unfortunately the color combination (black on grey) is tough to read and the text is quite small. Also these puzzles are tough! I only got through a few of them. But again, love the concept, I think there's a lot of places you can take it, hope to see more updates post-jam!

very good game! Creative idea, fun puzzles, an undo button (thank god!), atmospheric music. I suppose the art was the only thing that was lacking but it didn't detract from the experience too much. I like how the music changes when you get the piece to be a certain color. Very anemoiac.

Pretty interesting game! My biggest complain right now is that it needs a local restart button, but I imagine this may have a lot of ramifications that I don't see at a quick glance. This happens because I experimented a lot, and had several moments finding out that I was softlocked by a movement I did way earlier, so losing that progress was hard. Great work!
I found this a bit hard to wrap my head around so I didn't get very far, but man, what a cool concept! I'd love to see this fleshed out more in the future with a more gradual difficulty curve!
Incredible game, the second half in particular utilizes the mechanics expertly and the level design was great. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of content, as puzzle games made for jams tend to be quite short. I thought the difficulty curve was well done, and it never got so difficult that the (very understandable) inability to reset individual rooms became an issue. The different music for the different colors was also a great touch.
Amazing game, my only issue was that some of the songs seemed significantly louder than others,
@zachary-barbanell Which levels in particular did you think were loud? I have my guesses, but I want to be sure.
very cool idea. I think it could use a gentler difficulty curve, I wanted to see how the recursive nature played out, but was a little impatient that some of the first depth levels were reasonably challenging regular sokobon. nice music.

Ooh I really like this, I love sokoban and this has a few nice twists on that type of game! Very creative with the level in level-aspect. As others said, it would be nice with a few introductory levels so you can ease in on the mechanics and get in the right mindset for these types of puzzles, but other than that they are nice. Will get back to this later!
Love the dynamic parts of the music as well.
Great work!

Really nice spin on Sokoban. Got a little too stuck on the early levels to see it all play out, but really like the concept. Nice atmosphere.
This felt way too difficult at the beginning. It took me 10 minutes of trial and error to solve the top left level and I gave up after a few minutes of the other corner level. Maybe this is easier for sokoban pros, but this had me stumped without much reason to keep trying. I did like the music change with colors though. I wanted to see what effect other colors had but didn't have the brainspace for it right now. :(
This game is well made with good visuals and music. I like the concept, but the puzzles were just way too hard for me. Maybe I'm just not very good at Sokoban.
Great work for the jam!

This one sure is a challenge for the brain! I love the idea, and both the graphics and the music are cute.
I like how difficult the puzzles are because it forces the player to take their time to think and keep trying until they find the solution. There are many games that I like that end too soon for me and leave me wanting more, so I'm glad this one's gonna take way longer to finish. I'm definitely going to spend many hours on this one, great job!
Edit: I just finished the game! Or at least I think I did? The text does say "this is the end of the game" but I still tried to see if perhaps something would happen if I made all the colors turn gray lol
Thank you so much for making this game, I had a lot of fun <3

It took a while to understand how the game worked. The art is simple, the music is relaxing, and the levels are very interesting and challenging. Congratulations to the developers.
This game is amazing! I just reached "the second half" and this is blowing my mind. This game can be called a parabox-like (is it your inspiration?), but this has its own twists as well which are making the experience really unique. Some people might find the difficulty curve too steep, but it is adequate for my liking. It would be nice if I could see if a box has "nothing" inside it without entering it. I also love the audio design.
Update: I finished the game! It's really great!
@notan-lemon We thought about marking whether a given box had a level inside it, but currently there's not a good way in the code to distinguish that. Also, I don't think any of us are familiar with Parabox, so any similarities are coincidental. I'm glad to hear you liked it!

I tried playing this on stream but was way too distracted to figure out the pure sokoban intro puzzles... but I just came back and played it all the way through on my own just now, and I'm very glad I did! pure sokoban is not always my cup of tea, but the extra twist and the puzzle design kept it exciting and interesting for the whole playthrough.
I particularly liked this room; I messed it up in the obvious way when I first got to it, and then had to undo a whole bunch and think about it more carefully when I realized my mistake later, which was a good learning moment:

I would have liked the keyrepeat to activate sooner at the start and activate less quickly during the repeat, (with maybe an exception for turbo-fast undo?) but that's a minor thing; overall I really enjoyed this! stellar work; I was hoping to see some recursive puzzles like this and this game did not disappoint
