Getting past the second seems to be impossible. Once you reach the end it tells you to restart the level. Otherwise it's a very interesting game with a nice aesthetic.

Rather boring game with no win or lose condition. Could be a good idea if it's work on a lot more.

love the art so much!! and the sfx made me laugh. even tho there's no win state, i still had fun. nice job!

Love the art aesthetic. This is a fast crazy game with with wacky sounds. I felt triggered. Still fun though.

Really nice job on the mood and aesthetic. The art, music, and design fit nicely.

This was an interesting spin on Spy Hunter, that never ends! The art and music are nice, the gameplay itself was a little lackluster. I just stayed in one lane and kept shooting and nothing ever changed or challenged me.

I think some simple horizontal movement/lane changing or return fire would be the simplest way to add some complexity to it.

Kudos for finishing in one weekend and publishing!

The imagination is excellent. The monster moves too quickly and will not collide with the player. The striking effect can be improved.

I love a good Shmup and this was fun simple but fun and it looked and sounded great too well done

Nice shoot'em up ! Well done

I really like the art style and music. The game is ok, but however unfinished. I dont know if you could have dropped some of the features so that you would have had enough time to finish the game with win/lose condition. Maybe the initial game idea was little bit too ambitious given the available resources? Maybe if the initial idea would have been simpler, the game would have been more polished? But congratulations for finishing your first Ludum Dare game!! Only ~50% teams are able to submit anything, but you managed! This year there were 3483 signups but only 1600 entries.

@Martta Thanks, yeah it was my first go at programming. I normally do art but am trying to learn C#, so unfortunately didn't get to all the features we wanted. But it was a great learning experience and @Tappioca did a solid job on the pixel art. Thanks for the comments!

Not really that much can be said that hasn't already been said by other people. The graphics and audio were really nice, I loved the sprite work, especially on the portrait, that was a really nice touch and looked really good so great aesthetic! It could definitely use some more though, maybe some sort of punishment or obstacle? I never really felt like I was under any sort of pressure or difficulty. That being said just moving and shooting was fun with the mood, spent more time than I would care to admit just doing that. Congrats on getting it done and in, nice work!

Yeah really nice design. sad you didn't have more time to work on fleshing out the gameplay, but that's classic GameJam struggles

altron 2023-01-15 12:47

Good job! The art and the music is really great! I also like the take on the theme :) One thing I disliked was the controls - it felt unresponsive (I felt like there was some delay) and the vertical movement was too fast compared to he horizontal one in my opinion - when I saw something I wanted to shoot, very often it was impossible to make it in time. But overall, it is a nice entry!

mr-lazy 2023-01-16 00:28

graphics is good..controls are smooth...but gamplay is short...feels like a racing game ...keep working on it..it's good

This game has a lot of potential, and I absolutely love the vibe and aesthetic! I'm guessing the robot/cyborg chips would have been used for something as well- maybe upgrades for my car? From what I could see, I'm sure you had some more mechanics planned but just ran out of time, which is expected. However, a global scoreboard would would really add to the feeling of progress, and would provide bragging rights! All in all, awesome entry! ^~^
