Excellent work for a first foray into Unity! The flight controls feel smooth and polished, and there's something satisfying about the way that the little pollen bits fly into your character. I do wish that the camera didn't leave our little bee sprite so close to the north bound of the screen when he's flying upwards... a nice little run of 128 ended to a surprise flower :(

Great game! My max score was 173 pollen. I liked the music a lot. Good job for your first time using Unity.
The art and music are fantastic. The gameplay is simple but fun. Nice work.
Its really nice a nice game for your first in Unity. The art and overall looks are great! Keep up the good work!

I managed to gather 534 pollen. I think it's not bad :)
The music is a masterpiece :D
Congratulations for your courage to make a game in a different engine than usually.
Great atmosphere, I like that the enemies drop the pollen, and the music is gorgeous! Great job!

Controls feel pretty good, and it is challenging to avoid all the flowers. It has a win & lose condition, which is more than some people achieve by the deadline. Nice job!
Oh! Another game where you play an insect! :bee: :beetle: :ant:
Great job for your first game on a new engine! Movements (bee+pollen) were super fluid and felt very natural. I loved the lightning and how the light shapes move.
I had trouble getting past ~80 pollens!
Only issue is when i restarted the game after lose, the flowers from the last game stayed and i was instantly attacked by dozens of them! I had to refresh the page after each death, which isn't a big deal honestly :)

Aesthetically pleasing, the gameplay is overall simple (I think I glitch it by falling for ever?). You did great. I'm saddened by the switch from Godot to Unity thought :'(

Great work on your first Unity game! It ended up pretty fun, and the simple game loop fits great with the calming music and nice difficulty curve. Nice artwork and subtle use of lighting/bloom. I also really like that you put a simple texture in the background so you can get a sense of your speed and direction at all times. Do you plan to use Unity again on the next jam, or go back to Godot for a while?
Thanks everyone for your comments and feedback! I won't overdo it and respond to everyone individually but heres a few haha. I have passed on all the very nice comments about the music to Trevor :)
@breadstick Oh man I screwed up the camera position at one point and never fixed it.... oops! Could do with being better centered and maybe slightly zooming out when moving fast.
@owca wow very high score!!
@amarokczukay yes I found that bug after uploading and was too exhausted to try and fix it LOL. sorry about that.
@jajakeim and @chompdev I'm a huge fan of Godot but the game I'm working on for a living as a 3D artist rn uses Unity so I'd figure I'd start my journey on getting familiar with it. I am still a Godot lover and I haven't "switched over" I'm just expanding my skillset :)
Hey man, unity is hard. Don't give up. This is great work for your first time, and don't worry, I'm not subtracting points for lack of features, this is a huge achievement for you!
The music alone did so much to make this game feel fun. Awesome track, really nailed the "bee a bee" vibes.
Visually simple yet effective. The AI was simple enough to fool it into going in circles after me so that I could just gather their pollen forever, altho random spawning flowers would sometimes surprise me and I had to be ready to avoid them. Controls felt pretty good too!
The only suggestion I feel like giving would be to maybe have the pollen disappear after some time as to pressure you into getting it, thus forcing you into more risky situations. A timer and a minimum needed pollen score before the end of the level (and a visible score count) would also have made it feel more complete.
Good work overall!

The music is very cute, definitely suits the game really well!
... And before I'd actually read that you need to refresh the page to not have the difficulty increase on each restart, I was thinking it was impossible because of the literal wall of flowers that was coming after me :D
One small suggestion would be to let the camera "look ahead" when you're moving maybe, as @breadstick already remarked, so that you see what you're about to fly into, that was one thing that was quite difficult to avoid :)
Or zooming out as you said already!
Neat game!
@better-half great feedback, agreed all-round and thanks!
@profan oh hey there :D thanks for playin bud
