Nice game. - Clear goal. - easy to understand - interesting and fun idea to the theme - I like that the shop moves around
Feedback: - Maybe add the goal at the beginning of the game. - It's pretty annoying that you can't shoot if you're too close to the silo, since you will put the poo inside the it instead. Wish we could take poo from the silo to shoot, and not just put more poo inside the silo.
I didn't understand what I was supposed to do. I collected so many poop and killed like 60 enemies, and even found the unicorn.. The main character and the shed looked like from Stardew Valley. The music fit well into the game. Overall, it was relaxing, even though I had no idea why I was doing all of the dirty work. :)
EDIT: Oh, I just read the game description, my bad. I now know what the goal is, sorry.
Initially I didn't understand, when I had equipped a weapon. Then I had plenty of time to farm poo and get all the weapons, but it took me a while to find the goblins :D Maybe they could pursue the player more aggressively? Overall it was very enjoyable and I ended up playing for quite a while! Very pleasant music :)
I feel like this a good idea but the execution felt a little weak. With a bit of balancing I would enjoy this game more. Personally I felt like waves not coming until all the existing goblins were dead slowed the game down a bit too much. Also the goblins would run at the player and do nothing when they touched them? possible bug? I liked the ammo also being the currency but I didn't feel particularly worried about losing any at any point.
This was definitely a strange experience.
I wish there was a click needed to confirm adding poo to the barn. There were several times I was running by to defend it and deposited all my ammo instead.
It needs an indicator for the nearest goblin, or at least better feedback for where they are. The last part of a wave becomes a matter of finding the last few on the map. The problem is doing so floods the map with ammo/poo and makes the game too easy from then on. I eventually was able to collect a bunch of poo and just stockpile forever.
I think in general the threat level of the goblins is a bit weak. The unicorn poo is also overpowered.
The later guns cost way too much ammo to fire. I had my best survival just using the shotgun since it spreads a few shots, or just tossing poo normally to conserve ammo. Most of the other guns just emptied my ammo and left me defenseless. I constantly wanted a way to upgrade how much poo I could hold to be able to use the better guns. With how low that pool is I often would instantly turn around just to cash in a trip.
With all those issues, I had a hard time understanding how to play, or having much fun with this version. However, I do think there is a very fun game loop waiting in here, if you tweak a few things and improve it further. It's not that fun yet, but the groundwork is there.
Great, unique idea and I love the execution!
I did run into some goblins at the game start before ever seeing any poo originally so that had me a little confused at first. Maybe some minor tweaking of spawn timers? Just a consideration! Love the product overall - be proud of yourselves and do what you think is best cause you've got brown gold on your hands already!
------Summary------ Really fun game and easy to jump in and go on the browser version. Only bug I saw was when opening the shop, if I exited it with ESC instead of the 'X', my poo meter and stash would disappear and I had to go back to the shop to get them back. Reminisce on the days when pooping was more than a strained activity, bring back the fun of poo!

Brilliantly enjoyable! I fully ~~excremented~~ expected to be grossed out, but the moment I heard the 8-bit fart sounds I was in love. Very simple and casual experience that I could totally waste my day playing. Love the vibes for the whole project! Well done.
Neat little game! The graphics are charming, there's a variety of little denizens in the poo-filled world, and the gameplay loop is clean. I particularly liked the little gnome cart that sold upgraded weapons and the sparkles on the unicorn poo.
I will say the goblin AI was a little funky and I'd occasionally have to run around the map looking for the one that was stuck on a cow. If they moved a little faster and had more robust movement they might be a little scarier, but it was also fun to just be able to run around collecting poo without worrying too much about them.
The variety of weapons was a fun addition, and they're all different in more significant ways than just "1 damage," "2 damage," "3 damage," etc.
It's also really impressive you made such a cohesive game with such a large team! In my experience it's very hard to coordinate with more than 2 or 3, so you must have had some effective team/project management going on.
Thanks for making this, and good luck during the rest of play and rate!

@jeremy-ryan thank you so much for your feedback! I am so glad you enjoyed the game.
Good catch on the goblins getting stuck on animals. We noticed that as well and have a patch coming tonight to fix it. They will also be faster.
@gunther, I love that you love our audio. I actually voice acted all of the sound effects for this and so I am double glad that you enjoyed it.
@lambda340, agreed, spawn timers definitely need some tweaking.
@oxxar your "health" is really the poo amount you have left in the silo. If the amount gets back down to zero, the game is over because you failed to protect the poo harvest.
I almost survived 4 waves. It's an addictive game with nice graphics and a funny game idea. Great job! I really enjoyed playing it.
Nice, I can't think of any flaws worth pointing out. The game's loop with it's economical, tactical, and action aspects works decently well. It's also nice that you are bringing attention to real problems in our society, my dad was a poo farmer and those seasonal waves of goblins were a real menace to our crops and his self-esteem. Yet the government never lifted a finger to help us, all they did was they took away his railgun.
I had fun running around (very quickly) gathering poo (looking for the unicorn) and seeing what the different weapons did. A couple of balance issues was that the unicorn was pretty OP since if it sits next to the silo you can farm a lot of poo, and that the weapons were pretty expensive so I got a bit tired of it.
I know I was *supposed* to be killing goblins (right?) but they were hard to find and pretty hard to hit too. Having the velocity of the player affect the velocity of the bullets would have helped.
The audio was fun. An area for improvement would be to have multiple sounds then cycle through them randomly to give some variety, it got tiring after a while hearing the exact same farty effect.
In the words of the Angry Video Game Nerd, this game is definitely not buffalo diarrhea.
I love this game! The sniper is hands-down the best weapon, and I freaking LOVE the music! Ah....perfection xD
@helen good job! We found it was pretty challenging at about wave 4! Thanks for playing!
@kr4ft3r, finally someone who understands the dreadful things we have to deal with every season. It's just not getting enough bard coverage these days. I think we're becoming more and more like the Time Before every day.
Thanks for playing!
@benk, thanks for your feedback. Early on we had made the Scatling gun easier to get and had the railgun as the most expensive weapon, but found that the Scatling gun actually seemed too easy to get for the power it offered. We ended up trying to make things a little more expensive and rearrange the value of the weapon to make the gameplay feel a little more balanced. Definitely could iterate on the economic balance though.
I did try to add some variety to the animal sounds by giving them different pitches from a pool of poo sounds according to their size and each animal had several sounds as well, but you're right, the poo sounds could have been a little more varied.
Honestly, after a few recordings I was crying laughing that I was actually even doing the poo noises, so I had to take a break lol. I mainly wanted it to be a joke, but more importantly to help give the player a way to hear where to find some poo if they were low and didn't see any.
@moonlightbomber, honored
Fun game, had some laughs. After some point it seemed like poo was everywhere and I didn't even have to think about the animals at all anymore. I also wasn't certain *why* I needed to shoot the goblins, were they coming to attack my Silo? Final feedback, after I bought a gun I wasn't sure how to switch to the gun (press r to open gun menu but how to actually switch to gun? maybe some feedback or noise for when you have made a switch? Not sure.) Funny sounds. Can't go wrong with poo.
@jonathan-baldwin, thanks for playing! Good point on the gun switch sound. There is a sound there, but it wasn't until after we published that we noticed it was teeny tiny and really hard to hear. Sorry it wasn't as noticeable as it could be.
Yeah the goblins are after the poo in your silo, some of the poo in the field, and also poo in your pockets!
Nice game! It's really fun to play it, the concept that goblin still poos in silo is soooo cool! And weird! Ha ha.
But, audio is kinda bored when you keep playing. However, still good game!
Thanks for made this game! Cheers!
This was insane, the back story was gold. I harvested 893.5 poo with my hands.... gross. That the goblins just consumed all the poo in their path was my downfall. Should probably have moved out and hunted them down all around the map as they were approaching instead of waiting for the to the last moment.
I think this was the first time where I was happy about a unicorn pooping in front of my house :D The turd launcher felt a little underpowered but the scatling gun was just pure unadulterated fun. Sometimes it was a bit frustrating to have to find the merchant. I think I would like him to either be stationary or to have some sort of map. Because I always felt punished when I went to far away from my home instead of just camping it. Overall a very pootastic game!
Just kept losing right near the start, didn't really get it. Maybe change the game balancing for a smoother curve
Well, that was certainly something! Surprisingly chill and relaxing for a game about killing goblins and picking up poo. I liked the pixel art and the music was really cool, the controls and combat felt pretty well balanced and I really liked the selection of guns.
Love the feel of the poo railgun, it's super fun during later stages with hundreds of goblins to stand in front of your silo and just noscope half a dozen of them out of existence. In fact most weapons felt satisfying to use, you can really pick any weapon and have a blast, so great job on that weapon design.
Graphics and sound worked perfectly with the gameplay, the animal and poo noises were a great addition, I felt they added a lot of liveliness to the farm. I think the 8bit graphics made everything very charming, same with the music. Just gives you those comfy farm vibes. All around great game, well done!
Love it, quick and simple to pick up. Player moves around nice and quickly and poo weapon is a nice touch. Great game and interpretation of theme
That took a long time to load for me... But nice game anyway :)
Nice entry! There was so much shit all over the place haha
The gameplay can be improved by making it slightly easier to kill fleeing goblins, and probably making the map smaller. Oh and btw, i think i spent the first 5 minutes without realising i wasnt depositing my poo and was just throwing it away. Having the controls appear in game at some point might've been useful, although its possibly i missed them.
Either way! This was a great game!
I found it a bit odd that you only needed to kill the goblins to end the wave, and that you could stall and farm in the first wave indefinitely. It gave the game a lack of urgency that I think was unintended.
@mark-winter The idea was to give a push and pull effect to the waves, where the beginning of the wave was scary and the end of the wave could be used for restocking. I think given more time we could have either struck a balance that seems less abusable or made waves start counting down from an unknown number of goblins. As in start the countdown after the population of the current wave was a random number from 3-7. Either way it was trickier than expected to balance the tension.
