What do you mean by "hard to understand?" You can press E to aim a cash gun, just follow the mission given to you by the NPC.
Also, sorry about the lag.
I really love the ost playing in the background. Who composed it?
@tubadude99 You did.
weird but cool :)
Had me laugh for a while because of the "quality". It's so bad that it's good :stuck_out_tongue:
What is this game? It feels like a nightmare, lol. The game atmosphere puts me on edge, but it feels intentional? A couple problems, super slow & why is the camera sooooo close to the player? Have to admit that the money shooting is pretty satisfying. You should be able to move and shoot at the same time.
@ruddiculous You can zoom out by scrolling. E to aim.
I intended it to be a lot easier, but I accidentally forgot to tweak some enemy values.
Oh wow, running out of money was... unexpected
It's good to see all the kind of core features in place, moving, sound, camera controls. And the shooting money effect + the effect of your backpack/moneybag was nice.
Other than move gameplay/interactable things, I think there's a few little bits of polish that would be really nice. Mainly just little things like starting the the camera zooming out, and making sure the targetting reticle doesn't disappear behind the player when you aim (maybe move the camera slightly onto the players shoulder, so you can see what you're aiming at?)
This is the first game I've rated this jam, if they're all like this I'm ready for a wild ride :D
Thanks, @blaster391. It got really rushed toward the end but we tried our best to get a functioning game out there. And you can thank @CaptnJacob for the death sound, lol. I accidentally set its volume too high related to everything else, so... :P
XD This was so hilarious playing! Propably one of the most innovative games I've seen! I mean that was just epic nothing more to say. A solid entry my man! XD This was so funny...!!!!!!!
@ruddiculous I appreciate the feedback and am glad that you like the money shooting sound effect. I worked on that for a bit.
it was a bit wierd an hard to understand but overall quit cool
I've found it a bit confusing too, just found the mission after looking for the commentarys. Maybe should be an interaction button. The graphics are cool, specially the money, the player and the textures. I've found the music with a nice melody, but a bit too repetitive and missing other musical elements along with the piano. The camera and the caracther moving were really satisfying to me, making me wander around a while. Nice work on the art, movimentation and music.
@luigi-rizzon Thanks for the feedback on the soundtrack. I did revise it and remix it a couple times, but they were too late to make it into the publish.
Nice artstyle man, great job ;)
Thanks guys for the feedback!
@luigi-rizzon The first mission has a bug on some computers, where the first mission gives you a blank black textbox. Did you get that? I'm sorry but I have no idea why that happens.
The camera started waaaaay too close to the player! The music is really jarring as well
@elmos-minion no, I tried to interact usingo buttons and money w the npcs and nothing happened. Tried to stay in their way or collide with them, and nothing again. It only worked out when I tried to clash with the first mission npc from the opposite side from where the game starts
Wow. This game need some real playtesting xd
I like cash floating in the backpack!
Other part of game are pretty clunky! Try to find one simple mechanic and build game on that! Playtest from very beggining!
Blender game engine? Interesting. Piano music is nice. This game emulates kinda how I feel as a software contractor ... "here robot, here's a chunk of money (not very much), go eliminate all those bugs out there, and don't come back till you're done, chop chop"
It could really use some playtesting, the level is just so big for a player that slow... It looks like you just learned a lot of new things in this jam. I like the animations of the money and the wheel, the sound was well done, too, maybe a little off the mood. There were many nice details like the money in the transparent backpack, which I really liked. Nice use of physics! Best thing overall was the core concept of throwing money at problems to solve them!
