LD44 — Your life is currency

The Final Rescue by mrjoshuamclean 2019-05-03T01:12:44Z

Even though this game's idea makes sense, i feel one area that brings down the quality of this experience is the controls. If possible, i would suggest that when the ship turns, that the ship slows down when no buttons are being pressed. That is my main concern, and maybe more sound effects such as ambient ones could heighten the quality of this experience even more. I do not know how you did the ship rotation, but if possible, it could be smoother.

Salvage by A-Flat Miner Studios 2019-04-30T01:33:25Z

This game could use more juice, as in maybe it could have had more sound effects, such as ones for gathering items. Maybe think of adding glowing gradients to expensive items, with more sounds stacked to make it feel more powerful. A sound for the enemy increasing in volume, with music decreasing in volume can give the sense of impending danger. Well, these would be my ways of making the game feel more juicy, as well as adding a smooth camera that follows the player, and screen shake for the claws closing for example.

Heart Knight by mutt 2019-05-05T02:02:35Z

In all aspects, this game is strong mix of all qualities that go into a good game. The sprite work is good, the game feel is there, and added effects such as screen shake are present as well. The sound effects are very fitting and are the some of the best audio I have heard in this entire jam, for me personally. It has so many strengths, that I cannot find any flaws easily. It's fun, responsive, and polished. Very good job!

Deadly Dungeon by SpiRiTs 2019-05-03T01:59:31Z

I like the movement style, the dice roll and timing is a good thing to add into the game. There is a lot of visual flair in the game that I appreciate, with the nice sound effects and music, and good sprite work as well. The minigames are short and sweet and are a nice change of pace. I noticed this game was made on godot as well. All things being said, good job.

Don't Die, Dumpstercat! by Trifectuh 2019-04-30T01:10:05Z

Well, a nice fun game with good style. I would recommend more graphical effects such as screen shake on death, and shaded pixel art maybe. That was just nitpicking, this was fun.

Bullet Souls by Jellis 2019-05-02T02:55:55Z

The game is engaging and fun to play, and the life being currency I feel is being very well integrated into this game. It could use some work graphically, but the game is very good in gameplay, and for me, that is what comes first in every game.

Blood Collector by icedmetal57 2019-05-05T02:12:50Z

The game has good graphics, the interface is easy to read, and the game is fun to play. If I had any thing to criticize, it would be the lack of audio. This game could have benefited from audio, and possible simple looping music. It is worth noting if you want to polish the game up, maybe add some juice. Some camera shake, exploding animation for dying enemies, and flashing to indicate hitting can benefit this game. It is good overall.

EXO by Firesplash Entertainment 2019-05-02T02:43:37Z

This game's graphics I like the style of, i like the style of gameplay, and it is also pretty fast to run as well. If anything could be improved upon, I guess the music could have been more fitting to the experience. The default sensitivity is a little high, as well. Other than that, this game was pretty good.

Dusty by jvolonte 2019-05-02T03:13:58Z

This game is fast, fluid and feels as if it is very polished, which is not something always in game jam games. The concept is interesting, becoming more and more alive the more you kill enemies. It is working well, and the shooting really has an impact with the way it recoils your actual player. 4.5/5

Social Lite by DoctorMozart 2019-05-02T03:25:08Z

Nice interface, with a strong theme. I like the choice of colours in this particular case, as the game's art style is calming to look at. The buttons feel interactive the way the increase in size when you hover over them, and I appreciate being able to play this in the browser. Maybe a little more fx such are particle bills flying when you gain money after doing certain activities, and sound that varies depending on the amount of money you gain could be added. The buttons might need extra sound to them as well. Good job, overall.

plasmachink0 by selkkie 2019-04-30T01:02:57Z

This game is pretty fun. I can not really come up with many flaws, so good job

Charger by CraftLord 2019-05-03T01:51:01Z

It was good, the movement felt smooth, the buttons felt like the reacted to the cursor, and there is a good variety of enemies. It could have benefited from a higher amount of speed, as the gameplay I felt was a bit slow paced. I find it hard to link this to the theme of the jam, so it is not connected enough i feel in that area. It still fun to play either way, and right now I am just trying to give you ideas how to make this game even better. Keep it going!

Cyber Radiation by Alex Stacciarini 2019-05-04T02:06:56Z

The game is challenging, I like the sprites and the whole idea of the game. The randomly generated dungeons are working well, and the game is good in all of these aspects. Well, if i was you, I would make it so that the acceleration speed to the movement speed of the character was a bit faster, with the same deceleration to make the controls feel more responsive. It's a jam game of course, but a little more graphical effects (Screen shake, particle release) could make this game just a bit better. That being said, this game is fairly fun to play and has unique qualities that make this game stand out specifically in this jam. Good job!

Speedrun Your Life by Kyrios 2019-05-05T01:30:58Z

Nice idea, I like the random generation and the style of play with this. The high resolution art fits well with the style of the sound effects. Maybe next time colours could be chosen more strategically for the art, but that is all I have to suggest. Good Job!

Azure Combat by Kivelocity 2019-04-30T01:44:08Z

Oh. What don't you understand about it?

Azure Combat by Kivelocity 2019-05-01T03:57:02Z

@manuel-rauber Those things have been addressed today. Thank you for the feedback.

Azure Combat by Kivelocity 2019-05-02T03:34:17Z

Thank you! All feedback is appreciated. Yes, you were supposed to be able to.

Azure Combat by Kivelocity 2019-05-04T14:24:10Z

Well, you enter the shiny portal. I probably should have made where you need to touch it bigger so there is less confusion. It has a bunch of particles flying out at the end of a level.

DollarBot - Ludum Dare 44 - First Time! by Elmos Minion 2019-04-30T01:48:33Z

I find it hard to understand this game. It lags

Boredom Be Gone by InsanityCode 2019-05-05T01:45:09Z

This game has a good concept, but the execution could have been a little better. If I were you, I would have reduced the sensitivity as I can move a small twitch and have the mouse move a quarter of the screen. I feel the game is not well optimized, as it runs 15 fps on my computer. My recommendation is to add more sound effects to make the player feel like they are interacting with the player, and add more enemy types, for more variety. Good work, though, keep it up!

Boredom Be Gone by InsanityCode 2019-05-06T02:27:39Z

Sounds very interesting!

Skeleton's Gamble by chompdev 2019-05-03T01:23:55Z

This game has good design, and I like the challenge of solving the puzzles given by the game. Post jam, some suggestions would be to add animations to the skeleton if you will continue this project. Maybe add screen effects and more particles. The sound effects could use work, but they are serviceable. There are no real issues i have found in this game, so good job on this one!

Limited Blood Works by thernz 2019-04-30T01:22:32Z

I love the art and the menu screens. The gameplay is good, the concept is working well as well. I feel though, that the difficulty increases too early. But that may just be me.
