It was ok, love the minimalistic graphic
Wow while the game was hard to play I understand that is the point. The music was the best from all of the games I have played so far! A supper solid entry and very entertaining to play. Thank you!
I think years of Mario made this hard for me. Good work on the theme and and the game. I like how the levels are never the same after you restart.
The gameplay was good. the fact that I did not see the same level again after the game restart in my limited time playing it is awsome!
Cool entry and love the minimalist art, I like the way you used the theme, but it was quite hard to have a hang of it at first. Cool game anyway!
I just liked it, I wish there were unlimited lives. I like how the jumps seem impossible. Thanks!
Was nice! graphics were nice and minimalistic, Hate The lives system tho
Great game! The style was nice, and the movement felt great. Some things that might improve it a lot:
- Controls: there weren't any in-game controls info so I didn't figure out you could dash till I checked back here...mostly my fault though :P - Lives system: Instead of 3 lives, I think it would be much better if you had infinite tries on each level, would make it feel more relaxing (and probably addictive lol) - Maybe add more visual feedback effects, so it feels even nicer.
Overall great entry, just needs a bit of polish. Looking forward to more like this in the future :)
Controls feel great, the music and sound effects are nice to add character to the game. I would also like to see an infinite lives mode, just so I could see all the levels without having to spend too much time gettin' gud. Maybe change the incentive from "don't run out of lives" to "who can speedrun this game the fastest"?
I am very impressed with how well tuned and designed the platforming levels are. The timing is perfectly tight. The platforming has just the amount of space and challenge so that you have to respect it, which works well with the timer and lives because the levels are neither frustrating nor trivial.
That said, the lives are a bit frustrating. It's pretty easy to make a mistake, and sometimes there's an interesting screen that I would have preferred to try until I beat, or after dying i'd have to go through levels which are getting more and boring. It still works for what this game is going for, but how good is that thing you are going for?
This game also desperately needs some basic tutorial or instructions, I figured out space to jump fine but then would consistently get to a screen which required a dash. It took me a bit to realize this game even had a dash, the game was unplayable until i thought to try pushing shift.
Really well done. I liked the minimalist aesthetic and the tiny music. The mechanics work well as expected. I have just one complaint - it is too hard. The curve of difficulty is not correctly balanced. You are not too far, but sometimes the game becomes just very frustrating. Changing the level randomly is a good idea. It reminds me Trip To Vinelands, but with another concept. Thank you ++
I concur with a lot of the commentary above. Lives are little harsh, and the game is difficult. Nothing wrong with being difficult, but the level design did irk me. Some of the levels were easy to clear with over seconds to spare, and some I'd fail all three lives at just pixels away from victory. Framing this as a high-score game seems weird to me. I'd say it would be more fun as a straight platformer, with each level on a 10 second timer. The high score thing didn't seem to mesh well with the level-based design. Maybe organize the levels into worlds, three lives per world? I enjoyed the gameplay, sound, and the look of the game, but the framing felt like it needed work. Nice work.
20. … you Made it :) Personally a little to difficult to experience all you made. Good game entry till next time !
