Nice & funny game! I didn't understand what the [E] key did, nothing seemed to happen. Not sure how it fits the theme, since you're not really delaying anything. Anyways, good job!

Delightful, although the rocket model left it a little unclear on how to load the sheep.

Ended with a scientist civilization. Quite fun, liked the particle explosions. Feedback would be to make the meteor approach slowly, it would give the player a sense of doom ^^

elmos-minion 2022-04-05 20:38

Hi @lisyarus, thanks for the feedback! You need to drop sheep into the cannon to launch them, which delays the descent of the meteor.

This is so creative. I am now invested in the survival of these sheep on this alien planet. Hopefully there are no aliens there that will start using the sheep for clothes and food.

I first had a big laugh when I saw that someone else than us made something in this jam with sheeps, so that's already a plus. The game is cool, although I think more feedback on the meteor delay would be nice to tell the player how he is doing. Also I don't know if it's a bug but I managed to grab multiple sheeps at once, so it made the evacuation quite easier. Anyways, nice entry !

Poor sheeps made it a engineering based civilization. Feedbacks were missing in some parts. For example I couldn't understand that I could load multiple sheeps at once. Overall fun game. Solved how to play in the 2nd try. Well done!

Cool game, lagged at first. Like lisyarus, I could not understand the purpose of "E" button. Cute sheep :) The music very calm for an apocalypse :D

Very decent game! I was actually very curious about which game engine are you using for this entry! this engine feels so good and very interesting to use (though sometimes being laggy when spawning sheeps lmao). Nice Job!

elmos-minion 2022-04-10 02:00

@foursay I'm actually using a game engine called UPBGE - It's a fork of the Blender Game Engine!

This is cute! I love the chaotic physics of the sheep, and it's interesting trying to find a balance between how many sheep you let live and how many you fire at the meteor. At first, I had some trouble dropping sheep into the cannon. I walked right up to the cannon and aimed for the big orange number. When I did this, only some of the sheep I was holding went into the cannon, while others were dropped back onto the ground, stacked on top of each other, walking back to the spaceship. I eventually figured out that it's more reliable to aim for the base of the cannon, but I think that if the cursor is touching any part of the cannon, all the sheep being held should be automatically dropped in. It would also be nice to have an explanation of the different kinds of sheep and what their stats mean.
