Reminds me of quake 3 defrag. The menu system is cool. Nice project!

phoenixofforce 2022-10-05 10:43

The first level was great. In the second level(double jump to activate trapdoor) i didnt know how to progess. Still a very nice game and movement. Well done!

morepixels 2022-10-05 10:43

Fun game! Movement felt a tad glitchy at times and direction was unclear. However, a interesting movement puzzle game with a lot of unique levels!

beetlebox 2022-10-05 10:50

The levels were built in a way such that I sometimes felt a bit lost as to where I was supposed to go, and it took me a long while to understand that I can wall-jump. The audio on the other hand was a lot of fun - I love the "recharge" sound effect. It adds a ton to the experience, and is probably what kept me playing for so long.

epeachyband 2022-10-05 11:01

@pragmascript Thank you! Glad you like it:) I found something similar with quake too at the end of work.

@phoenixofforce Oh, I'd got a point that game is too hard sometimes. The goal platform is right behind the rotated platform. The sad story there is that you need to look at this platform all time, while doing wall jump.

@morepixels Yeah, wrong direction is still look weird, should be fixed at hotfix build. Thank you for a feedback!

@beetlebox To say truth, I've losted myself sometimes too, in correct way, possible level complete directions should be marked wtih another color. I'm soooo happy you like the audio. That is my first experience as sound designer.

Thank you all guys for playing!

substain 2022-10-05 12:32

fast-paced action - the controls are difficult to master, but it fits the style of the game

fabula-rasa 2022-10-05 13:37

I most definitely suck too much at platforming to do this easily

The fast pace is nice and creates a good contrast with the time slow. Graphics are basic but clean, and they do their job. What I would improve here are the colors - they are a bit dull, lack contrast and create a somewhat muddy impression of the environment.

I love the design of your main menu though! I found a bug in it - when I try to go to settings from the main menu, I am greeted with just an (almost) empty screen and no way to back out of it.

Great game that is really difficult. Sometimes it felt like I was slipping off the edges a bit too easily and my jump wasn't getting registered. It might be worth considering "idiot-proofing" your game a bit; making the colliders for the platforms a bit larger than the asset, or better allow the player to sill jump a fraction of a second after they've slipped off the edge of a platform.

javasaurus 2022-10-05 19:15

I love this entry, well done. It has real speedrunner vibes ! It did feel weird at first having mid-air control etc, but You quickly appreciate it. The camera needs some work (it clips walls and it is not clear where to go), but that can also be part of the puzzle mechanic I believe. Either way, great job and nice entry !

epeachyband 2022-10-05 19:33

@substain Glad you catch dis vibe:)

@fabula-rasa I agree with lights dull problem, will be fixed on post-jam version. We already done gameplay mechanic tutorial, but i think, that menu needs it too:) You can spin your mouse wheel and open such section as "info", "credits", "settings". Also, if you go to settings, you can set up some section, which can be viewed by mouse wheel scrolling also. Thank you for feedback!

@wilko yeeaah, I really considered about some level improvments with possible direc tions colored.

@javasaurus clipping camera makes cringe, tried work on it on post-jam version. Glad you like it:)

We are really happy you guys like this so far, your games will be viewed and commented soon! Thank you for playing

fabula-rasa 2022-10-05 19:47

@epeachyband Ha! I didn't figure out I can spin my mouse wheel in the menu ! Thanks!

michaelaranda 2022-10-06 07:52

I enjoyed myself while playing this! I think it could do with a tutorial, if I'm honest. Great job on finishing this in one weekend!

deltamain 2022-10-07 12:44

Beautiful game! However there is a semi-critical bug I've found: I can jump when I touch walls, so it's pretty easy to beat some of the levels just by climbing on walls.

epeachyband 2022-10-07 15:49

@deltamain Hello, thank you for your comment. Actually it's not a bug. It's one of the main mechanics. And some levels even require you to use it. I think we should have added tutorial level. Sorry for that

erlioniel 2022-10-09 16:44

Sorry, I kinda didn't make it. Probably something is wrong with me, but sensitivity is quite high (overall, not only mouse, but character I would say) and falling again and again is not really fun. But probably just not my type of gameplay

tuile 2022-10-11 16:06

I also didn't quite manage to play this well. The menu had me quite impressed, and I was even a little disappointed that the mechanic in-game wasn't related to rotating things faster or slower, since it would have been a great teaching moment from the beginning.

I think 10s was just too short to manage covering all those platforms. Nevertheless, a decent entry. Thanks for making and sharing it!

bamberga 2022-10-12 01:44

presentation is fantastic for a game jam game. Absolutely loved the menu and how i had to 'do it slow' to use it.

Got to the second level very willing to play more, but the combination of extreme precision requirement and some weird collider behavior where i would phase in and out of walls made it hard for me to justify trying more with the second level. Fantastic stylez tho!

jag 2022-10-12 19:25

Very very interesting game! FPS platformer with bullet time and wall jumping is a concept that can't go wrong! I think my only issue with this was that the player controller felt a bit wonky, like I didn't really have much control of my character. Also, there was collision problems with the end-goal red button and my character. When Im standing next to it I cant climb over the button, and I lost a few stages making it all the way to the button but not being able to climb over. Nevertheless, this was a great entry! Thank you for the game

lavamagmo 2022-10-13 13:59

Pretty cool and incredibly hard!

natwomb 2022-10-13 19:00

Love the idea! Though way to high difficulty for me haha. Making the control a bit easier and adding some textures might make it into a great game!

mandytoh 2022-10-14 09:55

That's a fun game, but a little bit difficult i think ! GG !!!

druvsaft 2022-10-14 14:45

Do it slowly is a really bad tip for how to play this game! I was kind of confused about the design of this, a lot of the levels seemed to have very distinct paths for the player to take, but in the end the clear way to do almost everything was to infinitely wall-jump your way to the button.

The physics are very slippery, making it frustrating to move around, for a game like this I think you really need to focus on getting the player controller right first, as it is at the core of the experience. Some smaller annoyances as well like starting a level facing the wrong way, not knowing why you died in a lot of cases, I assume lasers or missiles, but many times you just died facing a wall or something. Moving platforms were also quite broken, often I just slipped off instead of moving with them.

There's some potential here if you focus on making the core movement fun, good luck!

empty-set 2022-10-15 07:58

I feel like the player moves too fast and accelerates too quickly, and the gravity is too floaty. High speed and floaty physics aren't automatically a problem, but it doesn't really feel like the level design was made with the physics in mind. It feels like the slowmo mechanic is pretty much required to platform more precisely.

dodgergram 2022-10-16 12:59

Menu is cool, I was very confused on the second level though.

exaggegen 2022-10-18 21:23

I don't like this type of game, but in general the game is quite good for those who like it. Character control was a bit awkward. Passed 9 levels without slow mo in 10 minutes, then sat for 10 minutes on the last most difficult one, which even slow mo began to use. Hooray, I passed it!!!

exaggegen 2022-10-18 21:24

In general, the game is good, if you do not take into account the control, inconvenience with physics and some problems with the last level(maybe it's really difficult for beginners, but this is my opinion)

senso 2022-10-19 06:02

Nice menu you made here. Game is little to hard to compete it.

animawish 2022-10-20 06:57

Really like the main menu. The game mechanic is cool but I clipped into stuff a lot. I was not a fan of the level with the rooms of 3 buttons. The music was cool though and I liked the time slowdown sound effect. All in all nice job!

blaster391 2022-10-20 20:46

Certainly the most polished main menu I've ever seen in a jam, and wow that game was intense... maybe a little too fast for the Unity physics engine sometimes ;)

I had fun, I liked that a lot of levels were more like puzzles than pure platformers

hacktier 2022-10-20 21:13

Nice Work!

unidaystudio 2022-10-21 13:39

Well done! I liked the graphics: they are simple yet beautiful!

b3b0 2022-10-21 18:07

Took a minute to grasp what I was doing here, but I figured it out. I love the atmosphere of this game. Awesome work!

maximeg 2022-10-21 19:22

the game controls feels so nice! I didn't understand why you had 2 guys for 3D art for squares, but it still graphicaly good.

oliver-richmeier 2022-10-21 20:40

Cool menu, and the platforming is pretty difficult but fun. could definitely use a bit of polish, also mouse sensitivity was SUPER low for me

danielr1 2022-10-21 20:40

Kind of tricky to play but gets the brain juices moving!
