sick game, my only feedback is that the "towers" felt quite awkward. But other than that i thought it was awesomw

phantomeniasll 2019-04-29 19:30

Was pretty fun, but a bit too hard

mossgames 2019-04-29 19:31

Very visually pleasing and coherent art style. A little confusing wasn't sure how to upgrade / get more blood. A bit of text to help tutorialise would have helped!

evolus 2019-04-29 19:32

Awsome game :)

cogcomp 2019-04-29 19:32

Loved the audio. Well done!

twobythree 2019-04-29 19:32

The sound effects are really cool! The art and mechanics too. Love the dead animation of the enemys. Managed to complete the first wave! Perhaps the long range attackers are way too Over powered xd Congratulations!

neverautomatic 2019-04-29 19:43

I'm a sucker for TD games. Played this for a lot longer than I'd like to admit. :P

dooda 2019-04-29 19:51

Excellent game, the art and audio are amazing

kaeveris 2019-04-29 20:00

Very cool game! I like the audio and artstyle a lot!

narrenschlag 2019-04-30 12:57

Liked it but please increase the liferegeneration. It takes sooo long D:

mia-devs 2019-04-30 12:57

nice

j0ye 2019-04-30 12:58

Wow, good game. Great sprites, great sounds. Good(but a bit strange controls. Remember that y and z are not good buttons for controls, since they have different positions on different keyboards. I had to do a weird crab grab^^). Very solid entry.

grllle 2019-04-30 13:06

Nice one! I played quite some rounds and tried my best. Congrats for this result!

mrnyarlathotep 2019-04-30 13:31

I really enjoy a good TD, and I think this worked really well with the theme, even if it skews to the tougher side of things - very easy to ruin a run early on.

Also really solid use of retro aesthetic, right down to having your build menus 'in the world' rather than in a menu, and having two button controller style confirm / cancel selection.

really nice compo entry!

krammetje 2019-04-30 14:36

I always enjoy TD games. Like the artstyle. The music becomes a bit repetitive (but might say something about the time I spent...)

noobexception 2019-04-30 16:25

Very nice idea!

I like that you have to walk there and build those turrets not just click

Great art and music.

Though gameplay is quite simple, hope you'll develop it and maybe add someting interesting

craftlord 2019-05-01 21:42

Nice take on the tower defence genre! It all fits together, sound aswel as graphics.

fashionbatman 2019-05-01 22:10

I love the character art. And I really like tower defense games. Great job!

amerigo-gazaway 2019-05-01 22:19

Love the artwork and music! I'm a sucker for games with this type of retro feel. Great Work!

rombus 2019-05-01 22:47

Congrats on the game! this is one of the most fun games I've played for this LD. I've reached to a point where I don't think I'll ever loose  I really like Leechers as they are crucial to the game The health goes over 10. So if you collect to many souls you will spend them and not see the meter go down. Not that it matters but just saying lol

rombus 2019-05-01 22:49

I've killed myself just to get the score. I challenge anyone to beat it

raphael-maia 2019-05-01 22:54

@rombus haha i was aware of that, my boss had previously broke my game to the ground, check out his scoreIMG-20190501-WA0000.jpg

rombus 2019-05-01 23:03

@raphael-maia damn! he overflowed lol

carlospidox 2019-05-01 23:24

This is a pretty nice TD game! The music loops way too early so it gets repetitive fast, and maybe having a fail-safe whenever the player buys an upgrade that costs more than his health would be nice. But overall, pretty fun game, I spent a bit of time playing it.

phillserrazina 2019-05-02 02:08

I like me some classic TD games! Good job!

baby-dino-herd 2019-05-02 03:51

Great take on the theme! I really like the retro feel of the graphics and music as well.

The music was really catchy and I found myself getting into the groove of it every time I restarted a level. Nicely done!

2019-05-02 14:58

"Show me a good time Jack!"

dimlight 2019-05-02 15:08

nice game .I like TD games very much, it on the theme very well.good job

cheesepencil 2019-05-02 23:23

Not my favorite genre but this was definitely amusing. Cute sprites lol

krapht 2019-05-03 11:06

I felt it should have scaled in difficulty a little more. I'm ok with the waves just repeating but maybe have the health of the enemies increase with each wave.

gwinnell 2019-05-03 11:22

Things I liked: * Cool death effect transition with the bats. * Nice sprite artwork. * Good take on the theme and interesting approach in the TD genre.

Things that could be improved: * Onboarding/tutorialisation/messaging, e.g. ui sprites not immediately clear what option is selected when building a new 'tower', didn't immediately realise I could walk outside the path the enemies take. * Music, quite a short loop!

Well done!

lereveur 2019-05-05 16:33

Not so easy as it seems, I had to die a lot before figuring how to survive. Good job! Screenshot_2019-05-05 Blood-Tied by raphaelquem.png

gamechoy 2019-05-05 18:05

I like your take on the theme for this! I think you've got a great start for an interesting TD game. The music got a little annoying sometimes because of how short it was, but other than that I really enjoyed this. Great Work!

dusho 2019-05-05 18:31

very cool game, really hard though, that flying creatures were kind of hard from start

philstrahl 2019-05-12 16:30

Wow, I wasn't too good at it, as it seems the difficulty ramped up pretty quickly. But what I managed to see, I enjoyed :) Here's a video:

Good stuff. Took me a few tries to figure out how the robed units work. (Melee vs ranged, generate from nearby friendly units vs enemies, pull from dead enemies or just when they get hit, etc.) Once I realized you could go past level three on each unit, it was all over.

Any tips for losing the game after you've been killing+leeching things for a while? I want to see my game over screen and get you that raise. (If I've done my math right, I need to use upgrade about 30000 times = 60000 taps of the Z key. And I can't put on an auto-fire app because Z also exits the game over screen. Ack!)

ghostmaple 2019-05-23 14:06

Had to close my game where I was past (at least) wave 6000 because I broke the game so badly I couldn't die. (Too many robed Leechers! I did manage to get a screenshot of one of my level 8000+ units before I accidentally sacrificed it.) Here's my score beating your boss. Happened to stop on a nice even number, too. Looking at the scores I've seen, I don't think your boss's score overflowed, more likely the score penalty for letting an enemy through is much higher than defeating them, at least late in the game. (Perhaps it is simply higher for tougher enemies, as it looks like your boss let the last ~566 waves through to end the game.)
