LD51 — Every 10 seconds

You've Got Mail! by Sheepolution 2022-10-07T01:06:27Z

Really nice entry! The presentation is definitely what sets it apart, if it all happened inside one window it would have been cool already but all the different windows popping up adds to the chaos in a great way. The chip tune does get a bit grading after a while and not being able to have the email and profiles windows open simultaneously is a slight annoyance, but just overall a really fun time with great humor and artstyle.

Every 10 seconds we flip by Maksim Chugunov 2022-10-06T16:24:44Z

Definitely one of my favorite games I've played from the jam so far. I can see myself accumulating hours on this game on my phone during bus rides and such. Only complain I have is that it can be pretty damn hard to recuperate after getting yourself in a bad situation, but maybe after playing more I would be able to do so. Let me know if you upload it to the app store some day!

The Shifting Rooms by WobbleBlocks 2022-10-05T21:11:38Z

Great game. Maybe it's just me but I felt like money and upgrades are too slow to be achieved during the beginning. I feel like the game would benefit by giving the player a quicker insight into the upgrades system, get them real hooked you know? Overall a good time though, I like the gameplay loop and the randomized map.

SPACE KATANA by JoeDev 2022-10-08T02:08:30Z

Beautiful presentation overall, from the music to the overall visual aesthetic the game is immaculately presented. I don't know how much the 10 second loosing of weapons actually affects it though because in the hardest and most crucial parts of the game, when you have nothing left, it doesn't matter what you chose. Still it is fun enough to just evade shots and enemies that I would definitely not mind playing a slightly more developed version. Great stugg

Hotel Catastrophe by Xeltide 2022-10-05T02:01:37Z

Adorable looking game. Wish the controls (and the jump specifically) weren't so floaty and that there was more variety to the possible gameplay scenarios, but still a joy to play.

Survive Another 10 Seconds by crotonyl_alcohol 2022-10-07T22:52:18Z

I really liked it! Overall I do think you captured the pure top down shooter much better than I did lol. However I feel like the 10 second theme hindered you more than helped you as overwhelmingly the stop is more often an uninvited break in action rather than an interesting choice to make, which admittedly can happen here and there. Overall definitely something I am happy to have played!

Into the Color Dementia by Phantom49 2022-10-07T03:28:28Z

As you said in your post yeah, this is in a very unfinished state. Still, doing anything in such a short amount of time, especially something that is playable at all, is an achievement. I can't wait to see more of your stuff in the future,

Sally's Scribbles by Enjl 2022-10-07T02:21:25Z

Really really fun. The music is perfect for this kind of game and especially in the beginning, it is extremely fun to find these new drawings to do and try to execute them in under 10 seconds. I do wish there was a bigger variety of drawings to work on but considering how quickly you are supposed to do them and the time frame under which this was developed I understand why there isn't. Amazing stuff for real.

Bullet Hellth by Explosives101 2022-10-07T03:19:02Z

I really like the idea, I wonder how different enemy types and such could further emphasize the risk/reward aspect of the mechanic. Adding that along with improvements to the enemy's pathfinding and making it so that the health drops don't block their way would go a long way into making this more repayable imo, because like the stunning of the enemies, which could be cool but since they then end up blocking other enemies' movement too just ends up making it way to cheesable, it sometimes slows down the game to a crawl.

Hidden Moves by barce 2022-10-08T01:24:31Z

Amazingly polished for something made in so little time. Just a bit unfortunate that it has so little replay value, but it is a very fun game for what it is.

ShooterWare by AntonioTheReis 2022-10-05T23:38:19Z

@httpsterio really? I'm sorry about that, I don't know what could have caused it, thank you for playing anyways appreciate it

My 1st Game: Water Ball Challenge 10S by Thanks4AllTheFish 2022-10-07T22:16:32Z

Great stuff for your first game! I just have a few notes. Adding a visual border around the screen could make it clearer that the balls bounce off the walls instead of just flying off (which is what I thought of first). The balls also move just a bit too quickly to properly process what is happening, and slowing it just a bit would help a lot I think. Being able to continue from the level you lost at would also be helpful. Still great work, excited to see more of your stuff.

10 Second Defence by ZLuca 2022-10-05T01:33:16Z

Good presentation and nice music. It is a bit hard to understand without any guidance but after a few waves it becomes somewhat understandable. The lack of mobility of your characters compared to the enemies can be frustrating especially since they are presented as equals, and having to click on the castle to check its health, which is something you should always have your eyes on, is annoying. Despite all that this is amazing for something done in just a weekend.

Make Haste, Detective! by frogwizardhat 2022-10-05T02:37:07Z

Absolutely gorgeous presentation all around. Can't believe this is a weekend project. One thing I would like to point out is how it is kind of unfortunate that the decision making is so much easier on the final triplet mystery. The artifact mystery had more suspects and multiple possible combinations, especially since you could even pick out more than just two people. Unfortunately since it's only three people and no combinations for the triplet mystery it becomes significantly easier to just guess right without having to think it through. Phenomenal work!

No Time For Love by davidtheginger 2022-10-08T19:10:44Z

Immaculate presentation, the art style is great and matches the vibe of the game perfectly. I wish there was a bit more of replay value somehow especially since the game is so short, and the end screen just isn't quite enough for me. Maybe being able to follow up on dates with the people you got along with on the first one would be nice. But I understand that would have been hard to implement in such short notice. Lovely game and idea you guys have here.

LD52 — Harvest

Galactic Garden by MartensCedric 2023-01-19T04:01:53Z

Love the idea and the intensity that it brings. I do wish that the camera was zoomed out just a bit so I could have a better idea of my surroundings, and as you said its hard to properly balance something in just 72 hours lol. Lovely stuff though and definitely something I can see myself spending hours on.

Auger Hogger by MattWoelk 2023-01-22T02:16:36Z

Cute little game! Was able to do it in the second try by just making a floor and two walls with the boxes which was really satisfying lol

Morbid by CursedEmbassy 2023-01-22T02:48:03Z

Really cute idea, not the first organ harvesting game I've seen this jam but definitely one of the more interest takes with the online shop and all. Unfortunately as someone mentioned already after going into the web I am incapable of going back to actually harvest the organ. A lot of stuff to be proud of but this definitely needs some more time in the oven.

Barn Busters by UnitedFailures 2023-01-14T04:16:19Z

On of the games I've enjoyed actually playing the most so far. Great work!

Delivery Maze by Kusaihana 2023-01-12T23:47:34Z

Great stuff for something done in so little time, the challenge here is mostly on the execution side rather than actual problem solving, I wonder how you could lean more on that or shift to more a problem solving perspective. Playing with the physics is pretty fun and presents an interesting challenge, I like it!

It's a Platformer by acdimalev 2023-01-13T00:53:08Z

This is a really really cool little puzzle platformer. It is really simple but it does get you thinking a bit. Definitely something I would like to play more of with harder level. Speaking of which, some levels did feel a bit too easy and too uninspired, but overall I am really glad I played this game.

Mafia's Drive-Thru by Pusheeneiro 2023-01-12T17:07:55Z

I really like this interpretation of harvesting. My main issue is probably the requirement that the organs don't overlap in the ice boxes. The game is hard enough already, especially with the requirement of not wasting any organs, but maybe that's just me lol. Love the overall vibe the game achieves.

Attack of the Mutant Veggies by PizzArt64 2023-01-14T03:47:37Z

I really like the visuals and tone! It is a great interpretation of the theme but I do wish that either the enemies spawned more frequently but were weaker or they gave out more resources when they died. A nice experience that I am really glad I played :)

Rainbow Souls by Fedora 2023-01-13T00:22:06Z

Really really cute game. Like someone already said making it so you can take back the souls you accidentally put in, as well as being able to see the amount of souls of each kind that you have in your brewing window would be huge steps towards making it easier to enjoy. Being able to differentiate between the crops when they are planted would also help towards that I think. Love the music and core loop, would love to see more work being put into this game, great stuff :)

Hobo Harvest by magicstunts123 2023-01-22T03:45:25Z

Love it, so so much. Just wish there was more variety between days and that the truck was just slightly slower because it can feel excessively punishing at its current speed. I love the visuals, and the franticness of running around with the timer and shroom cool down running out is amazing. Some of the most fun I've had this jam.

Harvestigator: An IRS Tax Auditing Game by crow_seeds 2023-01-13T01:12:36Z

A joy to play, definitely reminiscent of Papers Please. It would be interesting if what the characters said had to be taken into account in the gameplay rather than just admittedly fun lines to hear in the background. Definitely something I would love to see more of, congrats to everyone who worked on this!

(we sell) P.E.O.P.L.E. by nullval 2023-01-22T02:35:38Z

A really neat idea, wish there was just a bit more to motivate me to keep playing. Also it might be a good idea to make the left box with the text messages auto scroll down with every new message. Love that you used "data harvesting", I would have never thought of that lol.

Slime Crime by No whOne 2023-01-12T17:14:39Z

I love it so much. I would like more ways of being able to heal yourself to keep the run going longer, maybe sacrificing XP or something, but lord I love everything about this lol. Amazing stuff.

EDIT: I did have a bug where I couldn't move after Leveling Up so I just ended up dying. Don't know what caused it

Tractor Tony's Pro Reaper by Fabian Denter 2023-01-12T23:59:44Z

I love the overall aesthetic that the game has, but it does make playing the actual levels hard at times. This is especially the case in level 2 where the color of the ground and the depths where u fall into are very close and I was often having trouble being sure where the edges were. A really fun game to play, and the objective system suits it really really well.

Day of the Serfs by alfacarp 2023-01-13T00:36:23Z

A lovely, really funny game lol. Wish that visibility was a bit easier when hiding in the bushes but I can see how that might be part of the challenge, also would like to see the end goal as soon as I start the level, would make me more motivated to try again if I knew just how close I was and I could visualize my progress better. Definitely one of the more memorable games I've played this jam so far!

Pixel Art'Vester by Reikan 2023-01-12T17:48:23Z

An interesting interpretation. I fear it just isn't challenging enough from a problem solving-perspective to really be super fun. Extremely well executed though.

Macrogreens by joshedev 2023-01-19T01:47:07Z

Amazing stuff! I wish you wouldn't have to wait for the ending dialogue from the leaving customer to learn of the next recipe you have to cook up since it leaves you with a few seconds where you just want the characters to shut up which is a shame because I really like the personality they add to the game otherwise. Lovely game, really really fun

LD54 — Limited Space

Cosmic Collapse by LaneDavis 2023-10-12T19:56:09Z

Incredibly impressive in all aspects. Visually, audio-wise, design wise. A blast. Definitely my favorite game this jam. Congratulations to everyone involved.

Penguin Waddle by Flightless 2023-10-12T19:29:13Z

Definitely an interesting idea, and I really enjoyed the game's aesthetic. I do wish that there was more variety though, maybe through a bit of rng with the ice sheet generation? The game was also pretty choppy with fps on the web player. Overall though I'm really happy I played this, extremely cute.

Blade Jumper by DeadByDeath 2023-10-09T02:25:02Z

I really love the idea of a grid for power up allocations and having to plan out what to place where, unfortunately I am not sure that they were working for me? If it was then I couldn't tell which was a shame. Would love to see a more in depth development of this idea, really cool!

Slugs by inque 2023-10-09T01:50:14Z

This is nice, a good twist on a classic. I do wish the camera movement was smoother though as it was a bit jarring with the step by step movement.

An Afterwork Adventure by Martta 2023-10-09T03:36:15Z

Really sick! I loved the visuals, they ended up feeling perfectly familiar but still otherworldly, and despite being simple the puzzles were still satisfying to solve, the radio one in particular. Great stuff, would love to play more!

Bar by CleverDog 2023-10-07T21:44:28Z

As thought provoking as they come.

Quantumine Capture by VicoXue 2023-10-07T21:41:28Z

This is an interesting play, and it gets really close to being a super interesting and engaging game, but there are definitely some things stopping it from being super fun. Two main things that I would ask would be to be able to deselect quantum spaces that have been opened, so that I can more methodically go through the map, and for the death reset to be much quicker and smoother, because in my experience this is a game where you will fail a lot, and having to wait through the text and explotion to be able to try again. That said I would still LOVE to play a version of this game that has had more time in the oven

People! Panic!!! by VideogameScrapbook 2023-10-12T19:46:03Z

Like so many people have said already, the audio really brings it all together, even if it does get a bit too much for me late into the level imo. I do wish there were check points every 5-10 levels so if I die in the 20th I don't have to go back to the first, but still, the tone was really interesting and I really enjoyed the fast pace.

Neko Jump by Mzzz 2023-10-07T21:09:20Z

Absolutely adorable game. I do wish that the animations were just a little bit more snappy but the idea and execution is an absolute dream. Incredibly well done by the whole team

Space Stack by JBartelsson 2023-10-09T03:18:09Z

Really sick idea and well designed puzzles. Moving the barrels around was really annoying though, and I didn't feel like the connection to the theme was that strong. Still, maybe the most fun I've had with a gam this jam.
