Really interesting idea with the time mechanic! Could have been utilised more.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Time Sucker

Really interesting idea with the time mechanic! Could have been utilised more.
@mossgames yes true but most of my time went in designing the art and i did not got much time to enhance the mechanics. i personally feel that i should have involved my time in game concept rather than art. Thank you for the Feedback. Anyways i have another game launched on google playstore have a look at it in your free time.

First, thanks for the configuration screen that allows me to play this game with an AZERTY keyboard! :) The idea is interesting but some main features were missing to really enjoy the game (like the camera showing all around the player to see enemies and moving while holding an object is a bit buggy). Congratulations for this game! It's a lot of work for one weekend ;)
I'm always curious of other people trying to implement a 3D game in a LD jam :) Nice job. The camera is a bit annoying (you can't see at your back). For the rest the basic mechanic was very nice, but I don't see a strict correlation to the theme (as in 80% of game of this edition... who the fuck voted for this theme!? WHO!?!?!)
@malya loved to hear from you... i am happy that you liked the idea. Secondly i was planning to implement 360 degree camera movement and i was also trying to enhance the movement controller but due to lack of time i was unable to complete it. True i latter realized that game was over scope but some how i managed to complete it in with poor menu and no sounds. Thank you so much for the feedback.
@simone yes it was really painful for me to complete it. Agreed that the camera controls could have be improved but time was running against me through out the development process. According to my understanding i interpreted time as the most important currency of ones life. So Time Sucker who is the main character is only blessed until he have time to survive. Theme are always like this but it depends how you take it so rather than complaining for theme we should try to make something really cool with it :)
Very lovely art style.Good job!
@gao-ming Thank you so much :)
Great art and environment! Couldn't quite figure out how to use the objects, but killed a couple of running eyes. The game seems complete apart from the lack of sound, so well done!
@mykola thank you for playing my game :). you could go near the object and long press spacebar and move around with W A S D or arrow keys at the same time to move around with the object. I would also like to mention that once you have sucked time from the object then you have to protect that object else if it is destroyed then you will loose that time :). yes everything is complete other than sound because of lack of time. Thank you so much for your feedback.
Game was fun at first but over time it become repetitive no sure if there is win condition but if there is it was way to far into the game. i liked the models and environment. The camera was way too low and dollars probably shouldn't insta kill you.
Found minor bug. over 100 minutes bug.png
I Liked the concept of using time as currency but didn't understand the relationship between the character and the items nor the motivation to protect them. However, it was nice to play it.
@elmo thank you so much for playing my game :) yes agreed that game become repetitive but i never thought about it because of lack of time :P i will take that as a feedback and will implement in my final game and also this timer bug which i never thought. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
@arielsan My Intention was to show that a creature who could suck time from different object and the motivation to protect is simple that you are getting time from something and you should respect it, failing to do so should harm you. It might not have direct relationship but that's how i wanted to depict it. Nice to hear that you liked it :)
Nice models and art. This would be a much better experience with sound, but you already know that :) I like the game mechanics and the game idea.
@attala nice to hear that you liked the game mechanics and the idea. I could have added sound but because of lack of time i was struggling to complete my game sound comes in the very latter stage of development. :P
looks awesome and is fun
@mrwillowb thank you so much :)
Good entry - however becomes a bit repetitve after a while .. good simple models - would have liked to have the camera pointing in the direction of the mouse - but I guess camera work in 3D can be a bit tricky Congrats on a solid entry - the lack of audio was a bit mhew as there is no real feedback actions within the game.
@purpledartfrog thank you for reviewing my game.. yes it is repetitive never got time to add stuff in that 48hrs... Same with the camera and sound. Will work on the feedback... Thank you so much :)
Hey! I really enjoyed playing this game. The artstyle was simple but really nice. I have only one complaint - the camera is Jittery. Not sure why it's doing that tho. But overall the game was a lot of fun to play! Good job
Hey @teo989 nice to hear from you. glad that you liked the art. Obviously i faced that issue too but was unable to work on it because of lack of time... Thank you So much :)
Thank you for submitting your game to be played on my stream!
Once the stream is finished you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos If you want to know when it was played you can find your game in the queue here: https://tinyurl.com/y5rdokvp
What a delightful little game, even though I don't think I quite understood the mechanics. I found the most efficient way to stay alive was straight up laser eye shooting combat. That worked out pretty well for me.
I had fun with you game, and I love the character models.
@usragames Thank you for playing my game :)
@andidebob feeling glad that you like the fighting combat. The object like heart and clock which are falling from the sky contains time and you could suck time from those object. Once you have sucked time from those objects you need to protect it else if it is destroyed by evils then you loose the sucked time. You have to keep yourself away from the Dollars as well because time sucker runs after time not for money. #Time is Money.
I love the character and the overall atmosphere in your game :) Usually I am not keen on countdown based mechanics (I mean, when you have a limited time to achieve something) but it's one of the game where it's really fun! Sound effects would have add a lot to the fun. Great job.
@marcus-gambit thank you so much for your feedback... Glad that you liked the game and it mechanics.
What @elmo said, the text wraps at 100 points ;-)
Nice game, I like the cute monsters, cool graphics. A little sound would have done wonders for the atmosphere I think.
The controls are weird, why can't I move in a third person shooter way. The fixed perspective makes it impossible to look around, you have to strafe from left to right all the time. Thus I did not know where enemies were so it took a long time to find them.
This brings me to my main complaint: this game has no difficulty whatsoever. I made it to 30000 without doing much. I walked around killing everything in sight. The time/score grows very fast. There are far too few enemies and there is no need to collect any of the items. This is a pity, your game has potential. A little work on the controls and some balance changes and I can see it fly!
Anyway, very nice work on the graphics and animation. Also great that you have a tutorial in-game. I found it a bit long, especially considering that in the end I did not use much of its information, I just killed monsters.
Still a very good entry for Ludum Dare, thanks for it and keep up the good work!
A very interesting concept. :) I would have liked to see the "time sucking" aspect explored a bit further, perhaps using it to interact with the environment to solve puzzles. Or, if you'd prefer it to stay an action game, maybe they could get you power-ups.
It took me a few plays to get a sense of the controls and the objective. After that, though, I was able to have a little fun with it! It does seem a tad on the easy side, even if the difficulty does ramp up, I feel that it does so at too slow of a pace.
I love the design of the little time suckers though! They are as cute as they are creepy. :')
Thank you so much @gonutz and @coleslaughter for the feedback I got it that you were little unhappy with the camera control and player movement.. I will definitely work on it and will to improve it... I will also add some more action to it but lack of time was the failure of implementation... Anyways thank you so much for this amazing feedback this will definitely help me to improve in the future :)
I had a difficult with down (to myself) movement cause I can't see longer than 2-4 steps.
And possibly you have a problem with a projection the cursor position to the game field (I often missed).
@mowgli thank you for the feedback... will fix in the final version :)
