Pretty funny idea.
Cool game however I feel that the innacuracy is a bit annoying. I like the concept and gameplay though!
Pretty fun game! I think you could really build on this if you wanted. Great job for a first compo
@c0d3d thanks man! Yeah now that I've had more time to actually play it I'm thinking I should've left accuracy at 100% from the start rather than lower it just to have another upgradeable skill
@notb Yeah I definitely intend to! I like the concept a lot and would love to make it look better, less buggy, and more enemy/upgrade types. Thanks for playing!
Enemies twitch a little when you try to run up to them) Anyway i like it, nice job!
From down side i go on the black surface also game is hard and don't match with the theme
loved the graphics, simple yet nice looking for a LD, seemed like a cool mechanics but i did not get what i have to do since i shoot and they just get pushed back until later on, i think you should add a description here to what is the goal unless i just missed sth, but overall, well done, glad i tried it :D
@wardetta Hey, thanks for giving it a try! Sorry I guess it can be a bit unclear but different enemy types have different amounts of health. Didn't get around to making health bars or damage indicators, but hopefully that info helps you enjoy the game more
Cool idea! It would look really nice if you added models and stuff later on. But, it was kind of a safe option for the jam well done :)
I found it to be very dificult, but the mechanichs are awesome.
I got swarmed really quickly and the accuracy felt a bit off, but I had a lot of fun once I got the hang of it.
Enemy variety is cool. Different upgrades like different guns, different arenas or even dynamic terrain could have been a great addition !
Very nicely done for a first submission! It's a solid idea, and I'd love to see a polished wave shooter with the Life->Power tradeoff. The accuracy (As others have mentioned) and the fact that I can't hold down the mouse button to fire shots repeatedly is a bit annoying, but otherwise very solid!
Once dead I could continue to play. Fun to play and well balanced but more fx/animation on monster death would make it more addictive.
Interesting gameplay playing with physics. Improving aesthetic and features - I guess that you could create a solid top-down shooter using this first attempt. For a compo (and a first participation - really?) which has been released in less than 2 days, you did a great work. Well done ++
It's a good base for expansion. The accuracy is pretty annoying, and I found that the enemies have too far a detection range. A lot of my gameplay was shooting offscreen at where I thought the bullets were coming at me from. It's also very easy to clip through the boundary wall. But the shooting is solid, and the enemy types are good, if a little overwhelming. I also really liked the art, because using Unity's default 3D shapes to create models is exactly how I do mine as well. As a fellow first-timer (although I did Jam, not Compo), I'm very impressed!
