In my opinion it is a bit too difficult. After playing some rounds I still can't detstroy big spaceships. It isn't easy to shoot enemies and avoid everything in the same time. :smile:

Great game! The gameplay is fun (a bit difficult though), graphics are amazing, and for a 48 hour project this is a solid game! Nice job!

Nice work as a compo, but pretty hard due to lack of projectile visibility. I like the light effects !!

Nice game just a bit too difficult. I liked the effects on the bullets and the debris after spaceships are destroyed

Nice game! I really like the models of the spaceships and the lighting effects. I found the game to be quite hard and never survived for long. I had a hard time dodging the projectiles and the enemies took very little damage. The slow-motion effect on death was a neat touch. Well done!

It seems very unfinished and unbalanced. Sound would realy increase the game feeling. And it has not much to do with the theme.

I think the effects and sounds was what I like most in this game. I spend some time playing, was really fun. Just a bit difficult, but ok.

Really enjoyed playing this game. My highest score was 4948. Your energy/currency system worked well, and I really liked your ship and exploding graphics.

I found the enemy ships did a lot of damage given how fast they fire. Maybe halving the damage from enemies would be good. I would also make the asteroids take only a portion of health. I ran into a couple of occasions where I couldn't dodge them.

The bullets are tiny and very hard to see and on top of that it's hard to tell when you're getting hit in general.

Not sure why you assigned separate buttons for buying rockets and EMP. I mean you don't have to buy laser shots, but those cost energy too. I would just have the 3 and 4 keys shoot and use up the energy automatically like the laser.

I liked the graphics, actually the screenshot is why I picked this game to play :D

@majadroid There are sounds. Are you sure that you have your speakers plugged in? :) Also I believe that it matches the theme - "energy" is your "life" and you spend it (like money - currency) to buy weapons/shoot.

@icylava Buying rockets and EMP is like this to allow you buying them for later. So you can shoot them when you're low on energy. :)

really fun game the sound effects and music are great, the basic attack might be better with a mouse click than 1 & 2. really fun though just kind of hard to survive for long

Nice game that works well! The art is nice, the gameplay feels great. The music put you in the mood, and it fits the theme perfectly! Good job, thank you for this game :D

Little suggestion : it would have been nice to be able to use the numeric keypad for the attacks ^^

It's a bit difficult, but it's a nice game! I really like the Sound! One Thing I find a bit awkward are the controls for shooting.. I would have liked mouse controls and weapon selection via mouse wheel with an interface for seeing the current weapon

It's a nice game i like space shooters so it was cool to see some real difficulty, but maybe balance damage or make different difficulty mode, for people to play easily maybe. I liked the graphics . Good job !

Nice graphics, love the polygon ships. The asteroid kills are a bit brutal. Good job overall

@darkshinobi100 There are 4 types of weapons, that's why I did it as is. It is easier to use two hands to play this game. I made two default configurations to your liking (for right-handed and left-handed people actually). @melaniee I decided to not use numeric keypad because some keyboards don't have it. I could have added thrid controls layout that includes numeric keypad though. @cozmic I planned to implement configurable controls, but I wanted to finish the game for the Compo, so I focused on more important things. I believe that selecting weapons via mouse wheel wouldn't work well for such game, it would be too slow and imprecise.

A rather hard game for me as i am used to shooting with the mouse and this game was a big test of my ability to adapt to new controls. I feel like there could have been a better way to handle that but regardless it is a nice game when you get used to it. Liked the effects, the graphics and the music, well done!

Graphics is really cool, especially the ships and post processing. But unfortunately controls ruined the fun for me. Shooting and moving at the same time is a nightmare and asteroid are OP. Oh, man. The most effective tactic for me is just dodging untill the asteroids do the job.

Really nice graphics however it is a very difficult game and I feel that some weapons go to slow and the enemy can just randomly move fast enough. Overall really great tho!

This is a very difficult game! Your ship destruction effects were seriously cool! The first time a meteor came sweeping through and tore an enemy ship to pieces I was in awe! The screen does get a little bit busy, though, and it's hard to distinguish between friendly and enemy projectiles in all the madness.
