Cat Your Life on It by khofez 2019-04-30T13:42:44Z
Great graphics, nice idea, but definitely has some bugs that need to be fixed (like that the cats don't always loose lives when they are shot). Other than that, nice job!

Great graphics, nice idea, but definitely has some bugs that need to be fixed (like that the cats don't always loose lives when they are shot). Other than that, nice job!
Gameplay is pretty fun, although enemies could be a bit more difficult. Anyway, nice job!
The idea is interesting, but for some reason I couldn't buy any of the items. Clicking on them didn't do anything.
Customizable characters are cool! I like the gameplay. Took me 3 attempts to beat the life. Nice job!
Great graphics, but not enough content. Attacks don't always hit and kill enemies, altars don't really do anything and they cost more than 2 points (probably because 2 points are removed every tick while you hold spacebar). But for a 10 hour project it's a decent game.
The game definitely needs some polishing, added tutorials and bug fixes. Many buttons do not work, and it is unclear what is the purpose of the game. The graphics are very nice though.
Great game! The gameplay is fun (a bit difficult though), graphics are amazing, and for a 48 hour project this is a solid game! Nice job!
Great game! I love the artwork and graphics, and the gameplay is fun. However, I think it would be better if every heart from the enemy gave you 10 health, not 5. By the end of round 12 I only collected 200 to buy the first upgrade. Other than that, nice job!
The game looks amazing! I love the artwork and the idea! The window gets a bit messy after workers keep on dying, but that's OK. This is great, nice job!
The atmosphere is great, the guy sliced in half in the end gave me shivers. It was difficult to understand the goal and the controls without a tutorial, though.
Great graphics (I like the glow effect and animation of jumping), fun gameplay, very cool! I wish it was possible to upgrade your weapons mid-game somehow. Anyway, nice job!
Honestly, this is one of the best games here I've seen so far. The graphics is amazing, gameplay is great, upgrades are fun. Good job!
Great game! I like the idea and the artwork, although there's a bug - people stop spawning after you reach the score of 350. And the top two branches are not really needed (unless you plan to add birds or something in the future). Other than that, nice job!
Great idea, amazing graphics, but would have been a bit better with background music. Anyway, nice job!
Hey @qzqxq, thanks for the review!
Could you show us the level where you could highlight all blue and all white squares? I'm pretty sure I've checked all of them, but it's totally possible I missed something.
Also, the teleporter blocks are a bit different if you look closely - input ones have an "arrow" pointing inwards on one side, and output ones have it pointing outwards.
Anyway, thanks for playing :)
@mrspeaker @cerkiewny Looks like quite a few people (including myself, actually) use Linux here. We'll try to make a Linux build during the next few days, I'll keep you updated :)
@mrspeaker @cerkiewny and everyone else, Linux build is up!
The idea has a lot of potential, but you definitely should work more on bugfixes and the story. Texts of the options sometimes overlap each other, options themselves are sometimes not really related to the story. If you manage to fix it though, that'd be a nice game!
Nice textures and animations, and +++ for SFML! Nice to see someone who's not using a game engine :)
Awesome! I loved the music, textures and animations are top notch, and the game is just very fun to play. It needs some polishing in therms of difficulty though, the level with the sword was tough, and by the time you get 100+ kills the whole map just becomes a hurricane of flying projectiles. Anyway though, I can feel the amount of work you put into art and polishing, and the result speaks for itself. Great game!
Nice concept, great graphics! I managed to complete code and artwork to 100%, but the music option was grayed out for me. The energy level also constantly stayed at 80%. Could be a fun tool to learn stuff, nice job :)
The player movement was a bit too slow for me, but overall it's a nice game :) A bit of level polishing, lighting and textures and this could go live :)
That was great! The music was awesome, the graphics too, and the idea is cool. I like the interpretation of the theme :) Solved the first two digits, got stuck on the translation. Managed to translate the buttons and get to the security code but was to lazy to translate the actual text in order to find the code. Nice job :)
Great concept, I loved it! A tank that can not shoot. Nice graphics, too. I wish the tanks could be a bit faster though, and it would be great to have some collisions with rocks and trees to make the game more challenging.
When I first saw the preview of this game I didn't want to play it. But I'm sure glad I did, that's genius! I finished the whole thing in about 5 attempts. I love the idea of live characters in game! Amazing, good job :) I'm not sure what the gun is for though, I collected it using the Android and it was never used afterwards...
Interesting concept. The story was pretty linear though, it would be great to see some branching (like, for example, you could give the book either to the guard or to the musician, or you could save the eel and put it into a fountain). That would introduce branching and possible multiple endings. In this case I guess it would make sense to use something like RenPy and not Unity. If you add all those - could be a great game, but nice job anyway :)
Started a little slow, but got pretty challenging after the third minute. My first subject survived for 250 seconds, mostly because of the center red button. Not sure if it's a part of the design, but it's kinda hard to tell if it's on or not (especially if it turned on together with some other button). Also, the sounds effects are oddly satisfying. Well done on this one :)
It would've been nice to have a help screen explaining the controls, it took me a while to get used to them (it's kinda weird when "WASD" changes your weapon while mouse is for movement). After I did - I still had troubles following the main guy, since you can't really attack while moving so he always disappeared off the screen while I was using skills. After all I ended up just healing the guy and not caring about killing enemies. Also, the glyph that points to the main dude disappears when you're using some of the skills, not sure if that was intentional.
On the positive note - I liked the dark-ish atmosphere of the game, artwork and models looks really well with the lighting and music
So, overall, I think there's a lot of tweaking to be done, but it has potential, nice job :)
Great graphics and music! I had some issues with scaling on a 4k screen, and I didn't really know what to do after I've cleared the whole ship and build all of the plants, but with some improvements there is some potential. Nice job for such a short time!
The graphics is epic! That's an insane amount of work done in 3 days, amazing job!
Took a while to get used to the movement, but once I did jumping felt really satisfying. I liked the graphics, especially the colors (blue tree looks awesome!). The gameplay was a bit slow imo, but I didn't play it for very long so maybe later waves are more challenging. Overall - nice job!
Super fun! The music and sound effects are amazing and graphics is just top notch :ok_hand: That's an incredible amount of details and polishing you put there, nice job! I mean, take the "Instructions" screen - such a minor thing, but looks and feels completely polished. This might as well be the best-looking game of the jam I've played so far. Well done!
P.S. My God, screaming babies are annoying
Now this is an incredible game! Cute story introduction, great music and atmosphere, particle systems are simply amazing! The gameplay feels very smooth, "slingshoting" around the asteroids is very fun. I really enjoyed playing it. Beat the game only being frozen 2 times :) Very nice job, this game is definitely one of my favorites from this jam
That's a cool concept! Feels good seeing a game that's twisting the theme in an original way. The music and art were pretty cool (apart from the enemies  ), gameplay is fun too. Took me some time to get used to the controls and stuff, but after that - I pretty much flew through the levels. I wan't sure if the game was infinite so I stopped after I got to max length and damage=10. Also, blades turning into lightsabers - super fun :D
Wow, now that's a good job! Took me a while to get used to the controls, they felt a bit "floaty" at the beginning, but after I did I just couldn't stop playing. Incredibly addictive! And great music too! I didn't see much of the artwork though because on a 4K screen the game was only playing in a tiny square. But other than that - very nice work!
The controls feel very smooth, animations for the hazards are pretty cool, nice job :) It does start a bit hard but once you get used to it - the gameplay is fun. Sold entry
@vaclav-kucera Actually the reward for not killing zombies is quite high - you get triple points for every zombie you knocked out and didn't kill. So, if you don't kill anyone you could in theory get 3000+ points
Now that was a nice game! Great art style, fun dialogues, the music is simply amazing! I wish there was a "Controls" screen - took me some time to figure out that Arrows are for movement instead of WASD and Spacebar for interaction, but once I got it - the rest was pretty fun. The game has some minor bugs like missing colliders, scaling issues on a 4K screen or dialogue windows appearing if you spam spacebar, but other than that - the game feels pretty polished. The "Simon Says" section was a bit tricky, and without any feedback I didn't really understand if the dude died because I messed up the sequence many times or just because he always dies. But those are just minor things, overall the game is a very nice entry, good job
Sound effects and music were great! Took a while to get used to the triggers and colliders (the monster doesn't accept gems if you approach him from the side), and I did get blue borders on my screen, but overall it's pretty good. Once you get one of the upgrades you can pretty much keep the monster alive forever. Good job!
Great artwork and music! I enjoyed playing it as well :) The dialogues in the WebGL version are kinda slow though, and there's no way to skip the "typing effect" - it just skips to the next message. But other than that - pretty fun, well done!
Well that was fun. Took me some time to get used to the fan strength, but after that I managed to save the fly pretty much every time. I noticed the swatter lands randomly so most of the time I didn't even need to do anything. I think it would be cool if it was auto-targeting the fly. Also, I had some scaling issues on a 4K screen - the game was only playing in a small window. Other than that - nice job!
That was pretty fun, I do like parkour in games :) The controls feel a bit "floaty" sometimes, but it's easy to get used to. The atmosphere is nice, and level design is pretty good. Solid entry
I like the concept of having to think about two things - delivering newspapers and avoiding traffic. Scoreboard is a nice touch too :)
For a jam game - this is insane. It just feels so polished! Great graphics, nice textures and particles, and the gameplay is pretty fun as well. One thing I did notice - the enemies don't always damage you if you just run through them, so the strat of simply non-stop running back and forth and shooting in front of you does work pretty well. And also - the gun particles have their velocity parented to the world, so if you shoot while moving - sometimes it looks a bit weird. But still, those are very minor points, the rest of the game is beautiful. Really good job on this one!
I knew I'd like this game from the moment I saw the screenshots, and I wasn't wrong - this is a good one! The graphics are very simple but on point, the tutorials are super helpful, and the puzzles were genuinely interesting (especially the last one, took me some time lol).
Bonus points for making sure the paths that go through hackers are reverted if the key is picked up, but there were still a few bugs - one where clicking on an item's inventory slot several times just deletes it from existence, and another when removing an amplifier doesn't fully retract the path.
But that's minor stuff, overall the game is great! Good job on this one
Nice, this is a super fun concept! I like the art style as well, very simple but it just works. Good stuff!
