Nice Game!
The game definitely needs some polishing, added tutorials and bug fixes. Many buttons do not work, and it is unclear what is the purpose of the game. The graphics are very nice though.
@sillyman987 @alexfsmirnov thanks you for the feedback, we definitely need to work on some bug fixes and polishing. Mostly spend my time on random world generation instead of gameplay first. Hope to have a update in the next few days :) Me and the other developer are both working hard on our thesis for the last part of our degree.
It's a really marvellous looking game, parts of the game need some serious attention. Overall I don't see what the game has to do with the theme. Anyhow it's looking good.
Really nice art!!!
I can really see, that the team put a lot of effort into the game. But it wasn't really working for me. My villagers and the goblin were doing a mosh pit ON the fire while I was spamming buildings, building fences that didn't work and fighting with the controls. But the world generation is great and I think this could be great, without the bugs.
@j0ye thanks for the feedback have you tried building towers they should handle with the pesky goblins :)
I see the potential but unfortunately in the current state it's not really fun. Some hints: - there is no way to exit the game apart from alt+f4 - tooltips would help a lot - ui elements (=selecting something to build) MUST have precedence over clicking on the floor (e.g. I was not able to select the woodcutter building because it always placed a street below the icon instead) - walls are useless if the goblins run straight through them - there is no indicator on how many people you have - add hints/tipps to indicate what's missing to grow the population
@chriiis88 Thanks for the feedback!
Dues to time issues, we've had to quickly build in some A.I on enemies, so it is true that the walls dont really have a function yet... And we have been fighting a bit with our UI elements, as it was intended that hovering over a button would reset your mouse and thus prevent you from building something when clicking on buttons (verry annoying).
I see a lot of potential in this game. But it is quite buggy and sort of unplayable (at least for me). The graphics looks really good though. With some work and bug fixes you could have a really nice game.
Great job with all the modeling. The UI symbology was spot on, I knew what each button did. I'm still not clear on why I kept dieing. Great work I hope you keep improving.
The idea is good, but it is really difficult to see what really is going on. The most of the time the game ended after 1-2 minutes and I don't know why.
@hijomo @jk5000 Thanks for playing :) unfortunately we did not have enough time to properly explain what is going on. My guess is that you've been building too much (too quickly) which caused your resources to drop below zero... As we first intended this game to be a bit more closer to the theme, going negative would mean you would 'die'.
Really loved the artwork and especially the music! This was an amazingly ambitious game to take on and you almost nailed it! I'm really impressed with how far you got! I especially love RTS games, so this was a treat to find.
The graphics are great and the audio fits, I did keep dying and didn't know, why I died an explanation would be nice, other than that. Great job.
The game idea is very nice. What I liked the most was the cute graphics and the UI. Although some more hints and a "delete option" for the selected building would be nice. There is no indicator to how much population you have but that's ok. Really liked he idea you came up with. Definitely something worth continuing and it will be a great game!
Really great audio, sets the mood just right. I also liked the core concept of the game, but unfortunately, right now many things are not working properly (like goblins going through walls, and buildings stacking on top of each other). But I think if you decide to develop this into a bigger game and fix all of these issues, it can be a great strategy game.
@annie-owl we are indeed developing this for the future. We hope to have a new build ready in the near future which fixes a lot of the bugs mentioned by you and the other people. Thanks for the feedback:)
