Original concept! Well done
Really simple but fun game! I can feel the anxiety rising as the packages get stuck on each other - and as I try (usualy unsuccessfully) to unblock them. It would need some levels with increasing difficulty, and maybe a bit of story to make a proper game, but I spent some nice time on it. Thanks!
Great and fun game! The mechanism is simple but enjoyable. More levels and machanisms (perhaps interactions between items, etc.) will adds more fun. Overall a great game!
Nice and simple.
nice and simple.... hats of to you for writing it in go language.... many people just use a game engine for this... but you have done this the hard way... the physics simulations were also cool..hats off..
I have to grive strong credit to innovation! Original idea! :-) The music was little bit repeating and loud, but it was nice. Graphics were great. Thos large boxes really got me. Plenty of stuff that could have been added, like some feedback for damage, but there is always things to add in LDjam game. :D
I'm sorry, but this is genius. I absolutely loved it. This is the kind of game I could play for hours on my phone. My only gripe? That music is hideous and made me want to rip my ears off. Thankfully you added a mute. I'd have also liked to have guide lines running down from the sides of the box to help me line up trick shots. But yea, other than that it's full marks all round.
Great job :8ball:
Frustrating but fun like Pachinko should be! The game was smooth and simple to understand. The music did start driving me mad pretty quickly so thank you for adding a mute button. Nice job!
@oddballdave - Haha glad you liked it. Yeeah I wish I spent more time on the music part. Guide lines are a great idea, I didn't think of that. Thanks for mentioning it!
Really cool concept! It was fun planning out the drops ahead of time to try to get them to all fit through. Just spam clicking really doesn't work which shows you did a great job planning out the maps and sizing of the packages.
It would be nice to have some kind of tutorial or explanation of how the health system works. I still don't know exactly how it was working.
I think it would have also been cool to add a difficulty curve. Make the first few levels easy with small packages and then start introducing more complicated levels and bigger packages.
A cool added feature could be swinging the package before releasing to give it rotational momentum but obviously there is only so much that can be done in 3 days.
Anyways, great work!
I like how simple and random this is. Not content on making a physics-based tetris game, you pachinko into the mix too! Cool!
@sjpixels - Hey really appreciate the feedback. All great points! I definitely should have made both of those things more obvious. Thanks for playing!
im so bad at this but there's something so enjoyable about it i cant stop playing, it freaks me out when a package gets stuck and i try to move it with other packages but they get stuck too (which happens all the time). like i started playing thinking -pff so easy- but then i noticed that i was just lucky cause its actually not that easy lol, very simple game but still fun to play!
i wouldve loved to change the music's volume though, i didnt want to mute it cause i think its a good music choice but it was so loud i had to turn it off:( also i think some sounds for the boxes colliding would be satisfying, or a "*clink*" clean sound effect when a package reach its goal.
good job!
Very nice game idea. I found the large packages the hardest and all the other ones easy so maybe it would be cool to have some more medium sized packages. Very impressive you made it in go and compiled it to wasm. Well done!
Nice, this is a super fun concept! I like the art style as well, very simple but it just works. Good stuff!
a game with a good idea
I wonder who ordered/send all those frozen hamsters I just sorted :D The idea is very neat and the physics generally work surprisingly well and have a smooth feel. Only the big packages were a bit of a challenge in some levels as the some configurations made it almost impossible to fit them through (or at least I did not see a way). The music was nice at first but got annoying after a vew levels. Only after I lost for the first time I saw you can mute it with M. Since this also seem to work during the levels you could maybe display the button for it continuously. But in general it was a lot of fun and I tried out a sorting techniques, including spamming packages, which does not work very well but is fun to watch ;)
Good and interesting idea. Nice))
