LD42 — Running out of space

Pocketverse Protector by Alfie275 2018-08-14T23:44:36Z

I really like the repeating endless growing and shrinking world, it is a really interesting idea I've not seen before. You could turn that concept into a really fun and wacky shooter with enemies that fight back, or even some kind of puzzle/maze game with that could be fun to explore.

Salvation* by Riccardo Sioni 2018-08-20T12:59:07Z

I never really know how to rate 'mood' on most games here, but this one definitely has a mood. The whole creepy ambience is really well done. One thing I think can be improved on the audio/visual side is the cone of light, I think it needs more motion/sparkle/particle effects to bring it to life more, make it really look like the beacon of salvation it should!

Prime Planets by bazld 2018-08-14T18:54:19Z

As a fellow maths nerd I love this game! This would be such a great way to teach kids about primes, BIDMAS (or BODMAS where I was taught) and basic arithmetic. Challenging and fun, and also the graphics and everything are really good too, like the little floating spaceman, amazing! Found another bug for you, when you get 2 of the same number, you can use it for all three, screenshot: spaceMath.png ps. I made a maths game last ludum dare, feel free to check it out!

L: An Interactive Mystery by Cercle 2018-08-14T22:55:58Z

I would love to play a longer fleshed out version of this, maybe you get access to a computer or a tablet as well and you have to go through all these devices to find clues and stuff. Maybe like a murder mystery whodunnit type game? Anyway truly amazing work! I tried to phone the detective's number from the voicemails... i guess his phone was off  and the duck game is animal abuse and its disgusting

Forklift Frenzy by malif 2018-08-15T22:14:17Z

Nice fun simple game, with lovely graphics. One minor thing is the raise/lower forkilift button sometimes happens muultiple times from just one press, a GetKeyDown would be better than the GetKey.

Mars Defender by Mil 2018-08-15T18:49:03Z

If you want to make your audio sound effects even sillier you can set the audioSource.pitch to a random value eveytime you play it, and you'll get some high/low pitch variation!

Robots Of Outer Space by Merotar 2018-08-14T17:50:24Z

Decent game, I like the graphics, music and it fits the theme really well. A few suggestions for added polish; in-game instructions (i.e. what to pick up, what pickups do), game over screen, and the UI doesn't scale properly, on smaller resolutions the jetpack-ometer was half off the screen and the quit button was completely off. Maybe could change the colour of the build circle to red/grey if you don't have enough energy to build. I imagine it would be really fun to play with a friend, it's sort of like reverse bomberman, you start with space and run out. Good job!

Warehouse Simulator 2018 by PSiv 2018-08-14T19:21:08Z

@toster @aflatthrasher Thanks for the feedback! Was there anything specific that made it feel uncomfortable/awkward that I could improve?

Warehouse Simulator 2018 by PSiv 2018-08-14T21:41:05Z

@alfie275 It's funny you should mention Viscera Cleanup Detail, I had that same thought as I was making it. Multiplayer would lead to some fun chaos I think.

@toster Thanks again! I agree there is definitely some fine tuning to be done with the player movement. It's another thing on my (long) list of things to do!

Warehouse Simulator 2018 by PSiv 2018-08-15T23:47:04Z

@unit684 Yep the cleanup section needs work, you actually lose if more than one box is in the red area, which further into the game gets too hard because there are so many boxes! Also no where does it mention that or give any feedback as to how you are doing.

@major-sauce I definitely plan on slowing it down at the start, and slowly ramping it up as you progress.

@belowparallel-ian Originally the boxes spawned outside the warehouse, and you had to grab as many as you could before time ran out and the remaining boxes dissappeared. 1 point for each box moved into the warehouse. Changing it so they come down the chute means they all make it in so you get the maximum 40 points everytime. Also the score only updates at the end of a round so if you fail the delivery round the game ends before your score is updated. It's one of those things I added in an earlier version and ran out of time to fix/update/remove.

Thanks for the feedback!

ShipIt by cbenoit 2018-08-15T19:46:36Z

I love the interaction between the UI and the play, really clever. Overall a very addicting clicker type game (without the annoying cliking part!), great job!

Interstellar Stupidity by Jono953 2018-08-15T18:18:45Z

You have captured the DOS game vibe really well, very enjoyable. To add to what some others have said, I think if you made the enemies mostly pink, the player mostly blue and the neutral elements/tiles white it would help players to follow what's happening better, and also the energy/batteries flying everywhere was a little distracting at times.

Souls Panic by DarkGuiGui 2018-08-14T18:11:02Z

The red souls go in the red area, the blue souls go in the blue area, the purple souls go in the... green area? I think you should definitely make the purple souls green, or the green area purple! The art/music go really well together and overall it's good fun, but when I've had enough fun, there seems to be no way of quitting the game! I guess I'll just have to keep playing!

LD44 — Your life is currency

InvestĀ® by thristhart 2019-05-18T18:47:09Z

I enjoyed the murder mystery aspects and the sorytelling but I feel like the conclusion when you submit the report on the crime is very unsatisfying. There is nothing to tell me what the consequences of the report were, what happended to the victims/suspects/investigator as a result of the choices I made in the report?

Marvin by Avon 2019-05-19T13:23:03Z

A good solid game, I enjoyed it, good job! I did find it a little tricky to try to heal/recharge energy/dodge the 4 turrets at the same time, mashing Q/E and WASD, felt like I needed more fingers  Can't relly think of a solution to that though, maybe make the Q/E toggles? Maybe I just need to work on my dexterity!

Assault on Crown Archipelago by aurel 2019-05-07T14:15:53Z

Very impressive game, well done! The harpoon platforming feature in particular is really clever. I had a bug playing through the first non-tutorial level, the message about how to view the map wouldn't go away until I finished the level, and I think that prevented the harpoon tutorial from ever appearing (the tutorial noise played in the harpoon room but no message appeared because the map one was there?).

Catch them all ! by sroelandt 2019-05-15T13:28:45Z

Really cool, innovative concept, I think this would make a really fun couch co-op party game!

Trials Of Dice And Decks by DreamingDice 2019-05-20T13:34:27Z

Managed to finish the game and enjoyed playing it even though at times I wasn't really sure what was going on! You've done a great job getting all this done in a weekend, the visuals are great, the music fits really well and I think a fully fleshed out version of this would be really fun to play! Some suggestions:

-The visuals on the dice don't fit with everything else, I think a more traditional look would work better.

-Some kind of indication as to what phase you're in/what actions you can take in the current phase

-Visual difference (perhaps different colour cards?) between cards you draw, cards that get played when you land on a square, and cards that are added to your deck.

-Clarificaiton on some cards, eg. one card says to discard a card to get +1 physical, I was expecting to discard a card from my hand, but I think it discards from the deck.

-Instructions on how to move the map

-Balance, there was a trial I encountered on the way to the boss which required the same dice rolls as the boss itself, surely the boss should be the hardest trial? Also theres nothing stopping you just walking around town to get a bunch of cards and stats.

Odd Jobs on a Day in Summer by spudboy 2019-05-20T13:45:54Z

I love the way you've made a 3d world from 2d objects, its inspired me, now I want to try it! Cute cartoony graphics, chill friendly music and vibe, and then brutal microcow story, love it!

Tyrone Leinster's Debt Dream by Rob White 2019-05-20T12:43:56Z

I really enjoyed this, its a simple idea but you've done it really well, everythings polished and smooth, good job! One minor criticism is the camera movement, when you're getting knocked back by enemies and aiming, the camera feels like its jumping around all over the place, maybe needs to be toned down a little bit.

BattleType by Sebity 2019-05-19T12:58:04Z

Fun concept, well executed, good job! Could do with some kind of ingame tutorial to make things clearer, and personally I think having to capitalise every word is an inconvenience that doesn't add anything to the game, but thats being really nitpicky! Maybe in the future version you could implement some kind of rock-paper-scissors type enemy system so the player has to pick which unit to send out to counter what ene enemy has.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Empty Dungeon by Wevel 2019-10-11T14:10:38Z

I really like the whole retro look/feel of it, the music beep boops playing as you take actions is great! I also made a game based on a computer screen (you've already played it, thank you!), and would be really interested in how you did the curved screen/fish eye effect?

Empty Dungeon by Wevel 2019-10-11T14:49:25Z

@wevel thank you thank you, I will have a mess around with it!

Start with no dice by Listonos 2019-10-10T17:57:53Z

Really great idea and execution, I've enjoyed playing this several times trying different strategies, for what seems like a simple game it actually has a lot of depth to it. Could do with clearer instuctions and the difference between dice and sides needs to be clearer visually in my opinion. I hope you keep working on this, I think it has potential to be a really fun game!

Neon Blood by Nek 2019-10-16T12:54:19Z

The revealing of the walls/floor as you move around is an interesting concept, and the neon effect is nice, but I personally don't think it fits well with a shooter. I actually quite like the dark gloomy vibe once you've explored the area, with the contrast of neony guns/enemies, it's almost like laser tag. I think a more traditional shooter with this neon aesthetic would be a really cool game.

Gems by CaylebLucas 2019-10-10T12:02:28Z

I think the choice of camera angle, and fixing it to where you are moving really helps add to the 'lost in the woods', almost claustrophobic feel and I think it works well with game. Lovely graphics also!

The Song of Calirum by Blizary 2019-10-11T13:38:29Z

I agree with what @matt-rix says about the colours needing some kind of tooltip perhaps. For example, once I used up my food thinking it would be okay because I had gold to buy more food when I was starving, only to realise it wasn't gold it was charisma! Aside from that it is a fantastic game, and I will definitely be trying to finish it when I have more time, great job!

WHILE (TRUE) { JAM(); } by cybersoftuk 2019-10-12T12:52:16Z

I love the idea of the game, but it's a bit tricky, I got stuck on the first screen trying to think of a name for ages, extremely accurate of real life! For the code challenge, not everyone who does LD is a programmer, those who are programmers not all of them will know SQL, and even then without error messages and such could get stuck. I don't know SQL (maybe I should learn it!) so I ended up copying your solution in and it still wasn't right, turns out I missed out a semi-colon :face_palm: I would suggest keeping it real simple (for loops/while loops stuff like that) or simple pseudocode. Also consider using rich text, that way you could have variables be one colour, functions another etc like an IDE would have. The art challenge is well executed and works perfectly, I like the graphics and the idea is really fun!

Tardigrades on the Moon by bassguitarbill 2019-10-12T14:55:07Z

First time I ran out of moss before being able to make more moss, I guess just a part of the randomness of it. 2nd time, completed it after an epic journey carrying the battery! Truly an amazing effort! Sometimes tardigrades got stuck under rocks, but that's okay, because the other tardigrades can turn that rock into moss, reproduce on it, and then save the little, undoubtedly traumatised, guy  Thoroughly enjoyable!

Reutemeteut (web) by croewens 2019-10-13T12:44:37Z

I am now an expert at level 3, up until the final sawblades that is  Did eventually manage to beat it though. I think even though there is only 4 levels they give a good representation of what the game is capable of, ranging from simple to really challenging. The only issue I think is that the platforms aren't all lined up perfectly, but that's being picky and I've no doubt that was just a time thing. Good job!

N0THING.exe by PSiv 2019-10-11T15:29:17Z

@pedro-rosa @shad @wevel @bilalch213 @jam373 @alicecrd Thanks for your feedback! Some of the puzzles in the game were not originally intended to be puzzles, and were forced in late on to add more content, so the difficulty is sort of a bit all over the place! @hellper Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed that. It's a purely visual thing, when you close the window it resets the animation on the button so it says install again. I will fix it!

N0THING.exe by PSiv 2019-10-14T12:05:55Z

@davidus @croewens @bassguitarbill @alexfsmirnov @of711 @foursay @lars-erik Thank you all for playing and providing feedback!

@heartclaw I'm really glad you enjoyed it so much! I've got a lot of ideas that I had no where near enough time to implement so I will definitely be continuing to work on this, thank you for your kind words!

@primitive-concept 'Started out with nothin and I still got most of it left' is a Seasick Steve album/song, as soon as I saw the theme it reminded me of it! There are 8 programs, 4 unlock numbers in the code, 2 contain a number if you can spot it/find it, and the other number is hinted at by a few clues and there's a program that hints at the order the digits should go in. So in theory there should be no guessing, or at least if you can't figure out the last number and have to guess I hope it would become apparent why that number is the answer. Thanks for playing!

@hwaet You are absolutely correct about the time puzzle/QTE, I thought something was off about it at times but couldn't quite put my finger on why, I'm sure that is it. Thank you!

N0THING.exe by PSiv 2019-10-17T13:40:55Z

@boyturnedrobot It is supposed to make the error noise everytime you miss pressing the button in time, which is perhaps a little over the top and I may change that to only make the noise when you break the sequence. I did have some issues with it but I thought I fixed them all, will have to double check. Thanks for playing!

@lootgrounds Thanks for putting the time in, I appreciate the effort! I agree with you that that puzzle needs tweaking in terms of difficulty, or at least better/clearer clues as to what to do.

@empty-set The idea was to have all the minigames/puzzles unlock a code number or unlock further minigames/puzzles, hence why time says it unlocks time2. There is no time2 because I ran out of time, but it would seem I forgot to change the text, good spot! So with the lack of minigames/puzzles I tried to hide some extra numbers in the other programs to try to give the game a little more content, but I appreciate they don't quite fit with the rest and it could definitely make the game as a whole seem a little confusing/less clear than it is. Thanks for the feedback!

To The Depths by BatJak03 2019-10-10T11:35:56Z

I like the visuals, they're really nice and clean, the concept is good and I enjoy those sort of games but it just takes too long to progress. I would love to find out what lies in the depths of the ocean but I don't have the time! Also the fuel efficiency upgrade does the opposite of what is intended and makes fuel run out faster. I think an interesting change you could make would be to allow the robot to eat fish for fuel, and have some kind of pickups for gold. Close to the surface = more fish/fuel less gold, deeper down = less fish/more gold. Maybe some spiky fish/sharks/giant squid to damage you?

Newborn AI by Lars-Erik 2019-10-10T23:46:26Z

It's like a programing version of a text based adventure game, I like it, it's a really good basis to build upon.

Little Odyssey (this title and text are referenced from Little Odyssey) by Foursay 2019-10-14T12:37:58Z

Although it is a short game, everything that is there is full of quality, the music, the visuals the controls, the ambience, amazing! In particular I love how the game over screen shows your path, is it supposed to be a picture of something in particular (looks a bit like a bird to me)? If not I think that could be a really cool concept. I tried to change my path to write 'hello', what do you think? screen_hello.png

The Factory by Jam373 2019-10-11T15:05:14Z

It's amazing how something so short and simple can be so unsettling and creepy, great job!

UFO Escape by DAVidus 2019-10-12T22:34:40Z

This is a great game, challenging but fun, I got stuck on the level with the pink switches, how many more levels are there? I will have to come back and try and finish it later. Some suggestions to improve: The little blue arrows on the draggable movement arrows are not very clear as they are the same colour as the outline, I got a little confused how I could move one in every direction but another could not move up, until I looked really closely at them. You should try putting your music audio source on an object that persists throughout different scenes, that way it can play nonstop/looping without having to restart every time you load a new scene/restart and you don't have to listen to the start over and over. Look up singletons, it's a good way of doing it. Overall though a fantastic effort keep up the good work!

Leverage by BilalCh213 2019-10-11T14:47:30Z

On my first playthrough it took me a while to realise that the balls had a fixed path and that they couldn't float about wherever (probably just me being a bit stupid!), perhaps increasing the contrast between the path and the background/walls would help, or reducing the amount of shadowy areas on the path to make it clearer. I would describe this game as funstrating, it's fun to play but the challenge is a little frustrating, but with a few tweaks would be great, and as a game made in a weekend it's a fantastic job, well done!

Nothingness by Sacramentix 2019-10-10T12:26:25Z

Cool concept, definitely fits the theme. I had audio from the start, and then unlocked the audio, and I didn't hear any difference, so I then tried again and picked the audio option first and it gave me normal controls, some kind of bug there perhaps?

Nocero by Empty Set 2019-10-12T13:09:47Z

Great game, the art/music are good, love the animation in the background of the fights. I encountered the balloon enemy before learning any attacks that could hit it so I got stuck in a fight where all I could do was Do Nothing! Aside form that issue a fantastic effort, and a lot of potential!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Boots & Booty by Ava Skoog 2021-05-02T18:09:44Z

Very beautiful game, all the little details and polish really make it feel very refined and immersive, so mush so that I was a little disappointed that the drink in the mug didnt move around/spill as the boat bobbed! Great job!

Secret Floors by Quetzakol 2021-05-04T12:22:29Z

A really nice fun puzzle game, I enjoyed a lot. It's always tricky balancing the difficulty of puzzle games, especially in such a short time, but in my opinion you got it spot on, great job! For the second clue, judging from some other comments people work out they might need to go back up, but can't remember the floor number, or don't think to check the messages. I think making the starting floor 1 or 0, or even having a ground floor (G) button on the elevator panel to take you back up would be a more intuitive solution.

Love's a Mystery by Bamallama 2021-04-30T15:45:46Z

I don't normally play these kind of games but it sucked me in and I'll admit I was disappointed when it ended because I wanted to know what happened next, so you must have been doing something right! Great job! The art especially is all very nicely done, and I like that I could name my character, I gave him a silly name and it made me laugh.

FishyFish by PSiv 2021-04-29T13:43:00Z

@scout @excy @jeanbon @paul-maxime Thanks for playing! I'm really glad some of you found it relaxing, at one point during making it I thought about scrapping the theme and just having it as a relaxing, chillout aquarium thing so you can just spend some time swimming around as a nice peaceful fish.

@jeanbon I've reuploaded it with different WebGL settings so it should have the fullscreen button now, thanks for the heads up!

@paul-maxime I definitely wish I had spent more time trying to balance the scale of eveything and portraying the growth of the fish better. The only thing that gets smaller as the camera zooms out are the waves I think, and they're only at the surface, so yes, definitely some plants/rocks or something would be a great idea to help that.

FishyFish by PSiv 2021-04-30T13:42:33Z

@flying-dog-fish @kenneth-wheadon @quinn-patrick @albertnez @duck-reaction @gimmers @bamallama Thank you all for playing and leaving feedback! I put a lot of effort into making sure you could travel left/right infinitely and everything still worked, but for some reason didn't do the same for going down. In retrospect this seems like a poor decision, especially when the theme is 'Deeper and Deeper', duh! This would definitely have added more longevity to the game. The idea of picking up the crown to 'win' the game was a very last minute addition, I probably should have added a screen to say 'you finished', I will edit the description to tell other people this.

@kenneth-wheadon The fish spawn just off camera and their size is determined by your depth, so if you go deeper you force larger fish to spawn, but then when you go back up they get despawned and smaller ones spawn because you're less deep. It is intended but it may need tweaking the size of the spawn/despawn area to get more consistent fish sizes. Like many things with this game that I thought would be simple, it seemed to be tricky to get the balance of everything right.

@duck-reaction It definitely needs a better sense of scale I agree, I will check out Katamari Damacy for some inspiratioin!

@bamallama Sorry about that, I did plan on adding keyboard controls but had to prioritise other things and didn't get round to it.

FishyFish by PSiv 2021-05-04T11:54:27Z

@edur @quetzakol @guiditooo @siberpunk01 Thanks for the feedback!

@quetzakol That is a very interesting point about the feeling of going deeper that I hadn't considered. To win the game you can just stay near the surface and grow and grow until you are big enough that the ocean floor comes to you in a way, there is nothing forcing you to actually dive deeper, and the bigger you get the less deep it feels. Certainly something for me to think about, thank you!

@guiditooo I did originally plan on having different species of fish, in particular a unique one for the player fish, but in the end it was faster and easier to just have randomised colours. Definitely something I would do with more time.

Spermy the Whale Goes Deeper and Deeper by Flying Dog Fish 2021-04-30T14:00:33Z

A lot of fun and humour in this, and I really like the hand drawn felt tip pen style, nice one! It's like an aquatic Frogger. I think I need to get myself a whiteboard.WR_time.pngI would like to claim the new world record, thank you.

SeaSnap by Cral 2021-04-29T14:57:19Z

Absolutely fantastic game, the concept, visuals, audio, everything, amazing!

One really minor bug, when leaving a menu (settings/journal/shop upgrade) the camera rotation is weird, you can't turn all the way round until you click/move and then it's back to normal.

Brubnar the Barbarian in the Deepest Dungeon by Quinn_Patrick 2021-04-30T14:51:41Z

It's a very well made dungeon crawler, and I really like the random deep wisdom words generator thing and the music is really good. Adding some visual feedback for the power upgrade would be a nice addition, maybe make the sword a different colour each time, or add some glow effect, or make the characters arms get bigger, something like that.

Deepest Space by ItsIsaac 2021-05-02T17:39:17Z

It's a good effort, I think it needs some more action thought. Very nice, clean UI, I like that. I'm assuming you refuel while inside a planets blue orbit, and use fuel when outside the orbit, but because the ship is a distance above the plane of the orbit visuals it is hard to tell when you are inside/outside yet, I think this needs to be clearer. I found a bug where if two orbits are overlapping and you leave the orbit of one planet, even though you remain inside the other planets orbit, you begin to lose fuel.

Vain Vullet by SwiatowskiSoundDesign 2021-04-29T14:18:32Z

Initially I hated the control scheme, it just feels so unnatural after many years of standard FPS controls, and I very nearly just gave up on this game, but I thought I'd give it one more try. I moved around slowly, clearing a couple of rooms, and then as I was leaving a room and turning the corner there was a bad guy and it really caught me by surprise and made me jump in fright haha! That moment I could see what you were aiming for with the controls, I think the sort of slow clunkiness of them add to that horrory feel. You can't look around constantly, you can't just run away instantly, just like in the Resident Evil/House of the Dead games you were inspired by. So for that, great job!

Bucket Hat by Edur 2021-05-03T16:40:20Z

Really great effort for a first game jam, the use of the hat as both a bucket and a weapon make for some interesting gameplay, and it's a clever idea. For the controls I think it would work better for the character to face the direction you last moved in instead of always going back to facing down, so that if you are moving to the left and stop, you throw the hat left and not down. Additionally I don't think the hat's movement should be affected by the player's movement once it has been thrown, it feels a little strange.

Puzzled Fish by Habibirb 2021-04-29T18:04:00Z

For your first game jam I think you've done a great job and you should be proud of yourself. I like the art style, the fish is really cool.

With regards to the first level, it is a simple level but only if you know what to do. Brand new players to your game aren't going to know that the button releases the box and it should land on the other button to open the door to the next level. I know the first thing I did was try to work out the controls, and in doing so pressed the button and the box fell on the floor somewhere. In trying to push the box into the hole I then got it stuck in a corner and had to restart. With that information it was then obvious that all I had to do was time it. The first level here would be fine if it were not the first level. If you want to make more of these kind of games I would recommend playing Portal (even if you already have), and focus on how different game mechanics are slowly introduced. I think the first level is just a box, a button and a door.

For the mouse on the fish shaking thing, my guess is the fish is looking at the mouse and moving forward a fixed amount each frame. So when the mouse is on the fish, the fish moves forward, then the mouse is behind it so it spins around and moves back etc. Instead you could try making the fish move towards the position of the mouse, that way when the mouse is on the fish the fish won't move.

I hope this helps!

Dig by Kenneth Wheadon 2021-04-30T14:12:04Z

The idea/concept with the layers adds a nice twist to the platforming gameplay, a really interesting take on the theme. I only got as far as the town because I fell down the hole and was just stuck off screen at the bottom, couldnt see the character. The qwerty/azerty problem is still there in the windows version too. I would be interested in playing this again when some of the bugs are fixed, it certainly has a lot of potential and you have done a great job with it.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

The Roads Away by harark 2018-04-24T13:42:15Z

This is a really interesting combination of genres, good fun. A couple of issues, firstly no way back to main menu to try out the different characters and I think a little information about each ability would be useful. The robot in particular I couldn't work out what it did until suddenly a box blew up and I realised.

Funk Escape by Rolle 2018-05-01T13:36:36Z

I really love the concept, it is realy enjoyable to play, and the rhythm section is really well done. I'm imagining a full guitar hero game with well know songs, but with a shoot em up, and I want it! I want it now! The clear distinct sounds for the red, green and yellow notes make them easy to hear and press the right button at the right time for, but for me the blue note was not as clear. Beats like the one in the picture below are perfect for this game, clear, catchy, easy to remember, meaning players can do the rhythm part by ear and focus more on the shoot em up aspect. ld41.png So if the rhythm section is easier, the shoot em up section could be made more interesting, maybe add some enemies that shoot you, make the asteroids move at different speeds, or maybe have a system where the more funk power you have the more enemies/asteroids there are.

Jeff From Accounting by Almax 2018-04-25T13:46:11Z

Visually amazing and good fun, hugely impressive as it is and even more so considering the time constraints! Hit detection felt a bit off on the paintings and when there was a space in the name, for example shooting out mrschair quickly sometimes only the mrs hit. Also a button to delete all letters at once would be useful in a pinch.

Golf with Guns by Issac 2018-04-24T16:50:11Z

Really fun, an entire 18 hole course of this would be amazing!

Aloisius by Rongo Matane 2018-04-24T14:19:55Z

I really like the strategy elements of this, the choice to spend a turn investing in buildings and moving workers to resources to have more gold in the future or building units and attacking now to try and win the game. The different scenarios are all interesting as well.

OptiShot by NoNiMad 2018-04-28T12:40:35Z

First across the line rules for finishing do not go well with turn based. If it takes players the same number of shots to get to the finish then whoever goes first is always going to win, simply because they got to take their final shot first. If a player finishes on turn 5, the game should continue until everyone has had turn 5, and then determine a winner (or joint winners). Also the starting positions should be the same for everyone (either one fixed starting position, or a small area where you can choose where to start) to ensure a fair start. Aside from that the mechanics work well, I think the transparent walls from behind is a really nice touch, and for your first completed 3d game you should be proud!

Flappy Bird + Tetirs = FLAPTRIS by Mazzletov 2018-04-24T17:36:43Z

So if the goal of tetris is to line up blocks to remove them, does this count as winning? :) flaptris.png

Bugs aside it is a fantastic game, the visuals and audio in particular are great, and the intro is top tier.

Date or Die by Pavel Smejkal 2018-04-24T16:30:43Z

It's like the binding of isaac but instead of bosses there's girls to chat up! I chose to burn it all down with the fire lady :) Minor issue, Some rooms the enemies spawned too close to the entrance so as soon as you walk in they hit you

LudumDare 41 - Threerena by 3DLeon 2018-04-25T12:53:52Z

I could see this being really fun as a full multiplayer game, the mixtures of modifiers are interesting and I think if the games lasted a bit longer it would let you experience all the fun combinations more. A big issue for me is the font, it goes well with the aesthetics of the game but it makes some words difficult to read.

Are You Smarter Than An Alien? by smallboss 2018-04-30T13:07:16Z

I love the gameshow vibe of this with the music, voiceover and audiences cheers and stuff, very amusing. I'm not sure how, but maybe if the background or the enemies were more gameshowy it would really tie it all in nicely, maybe more sparkles or lights or something. Misspelling of distance.

Chalk Racer! by PSiv 2018-05-15T17:03:20Z

@jcwelgemoed @firellon @pavel-smejkal @aaants @maximbegunov @szabe @elmeri @mrchippy @hopgames @niterich Thank you all so much for playing, rating and leaving feedback on my game!

@issac Hotkeys for answers is something that I planned to include but slipped through the net, I have added them to the updated version!

@nonimad I really liked your idea of being able to pick which operations for the questions, so I've added a settings menu where you can do exactly that!

I have released an updated version trying to take on board some of your feedback and adding some extras I didn't have time to fit in originally (AI opponenets to race against) so if you're interested in seeing what has changed please check it out!
