Very hard and sturdy, had some problems with moving around doing stuff (felt uncomfortable) still i could see it becoming a really good game.
A fun little game, if rough around the edges (though that's to be expected, it's a game jam). Felt a little awkward at times and one time I lost one of the boxes through the wall when I threw it at full speed. Other than that, I enjoyed myself.
@toster @aflatthrasher Thanks for the feedback! Was there anything specific that made it feel uncomfortable/awkward that I could improve?
A fun game, simple but very challenging, it took me a few tries to get past the first round (it could maybe do with rounds being more generous for a tutorial or something at the beginning). I feel like this would make a fun multiplayer game in the same vein as Viscera Cleanup Detail (and you could multiple roles, so one person perhaps in control room and can see which color needs to be shipped etc). It might also make a quite amusing VR game (or even both, a multiplayer VR game about throwing around boxes and coordinating with teammates).
@psiv i think it may had something to do with characters momentum, also when i'm trying to move the box by character collision it slips on the sides.
@alfie275 It's funny you should mention Viscera Cleanup Detail, I had that same thought as I was making it. Multiplayer would lead to some fun chaos I think.
@toster Thanks again! I agree there is definitely some fine tuning to be done with the player movement. It's another thing on my (long) list of things to do!
Good concept and fairly enjoyable. I found it pretty difficult to keep the floor clear for the third bit. Perhaps the first level shouldn't have so many boxes? Otherwise I like the feel of the game, perhaps a no-rush mode with no time limit would be interesting as a more chilled out experience.
Pretty hard to get started and kind of fast pace, fun for people who like fast kinda "fps" like games.
I am not very good at this game. I like the concept, but some things weren't very clear to me. Like, how does the score system work? My first playthrough I got only 1 box on the conveyor while I got 3 boxes in the second playthrough. Yet both times I got a score of 40. Anyways, good job. This could be a fun game with some refinement and well planned level design.
@unit684 Yep the cleanup section needs work, you actually lose if more than one box is in the red area, which further into the game gets too hard because there are so many boxes! Also no where does it mention that or give any feedback as to how you are doing.
@major-sauce I definitely plan on slowing it down at the start, and slowly ramping it up as you progress.
@belowparallel-ian Originally the boxes spawned outside the warehouse, and you had to grab as many as you could before time ran out and the remaining boxes dissappeared. 1 point for each box moved into the warehouse. Changing it so they come down the chute means they all make it in so you get the maximum 40 points everytime. Also the score only updates at the end of a round so if you fail the delivery round the game ends before your score is updated. It's one of those things I added in an earlier version and ran out of time to fix/update/remove.
Thanks for the feedback!
Controls felt kinda floaty, and the difficulty curve was very steep, but it was pretty fun once I got the hang of it. I wish I had more time to reorganize and plan, but by the time I completed one objective I was onto the next. A difficulty option that adjusts the timer might be a good way to address this. The game matches the theme very well and the music helps set the hectic atmosphere. Very impressive for a game jam! I managed to get a score of 247.
This would be better if my FOV was increased.
I really liked the concept! But I was terribly bad at organizing the boxes, it felt like I needed more time to do it properly. Still I had fun, nice game.
really nice game, GOOOOOOD JOOOOB!!! skilled jobs were rewarded, and it was overall great fun throwing things around
the destroying box was a bit tough to do as it would just bounce out of the machine
Well Done!!!
I think once the controls are sorted this game might be a lot of fun. It seemed like the chute filled up so quickly I didn't have time to look around.
Love the bass line on the music !
You should scale the difficulty down a bit, I lost quite a few times at first just because I was getting used to the gameplay/physics of the game.
Maybe throw fewer box at first and then slowly accelerate ?
The shredder is so hard to aim !
I spent like 30 solid seconds throwing and missing the "enter", am I just bad ? xD
Anyway, good game overall, has a nice "rush" feeling to it, keep it up !
