The "shrinking" level works very well, but I find that it is quite difficult to shoot enemies while moving. With bigger ennemies and platforms, it could be easier maybe? A time limit and a score could be quite cool. Good job with the "auto-resizable-3d" level-design.
Decent little game, it gets pretty hectic, alot of stuff going on at once. I thought at first I was trying to destroy the red dots, then figured out that It was the capsules that were the enemies lol.
I didn't see any end, win or defeat. I understand to shoot the red balls but no real purpose. it's a pity control was fun :d
That's really clever ! I love how the level is self repeating. I had lots of fun just shooting at myself instead of shooting the enmies. I think however your game is lacking some proper graphics and some background music that would make it so much greater. Good job.
Echoing others, I think you created a fun environment to explore, great job. It could have used a little more sense of progression. The controls did not seem responsive, was this an intentional choice or a side-effect of the way they were programmed?
The game was overall fun. Although I was disoriented half the time I still enjoyed myself. It took me a little while before I realized there was multiple of me, and that I could literally shoot myself. The game left something to be desired as far as sounds go, a music track would help a lot. The looks were simple and the lighting and fog add a nice touch. Nice job!
I really like the repeating endless growing and shrinking world, it is a really interesting idea I've not seen before. You could turn that concept into a really fun and wacky shooter with enemies that fight back, or even some kind of puzzle/maze game with that could be fun to explore.
An interesting game. I liked the resizing of the levels and how it grew/shrank. The graphics could use some love, and I felt there was a distinct lack of direction for the player.
The movement controls felt a bit clunky and random. If the player doesn't need to jump from platform to platform they may as well be able to move in a free-look style. Driving around with a 'brake' didn't make much sense.
The idea of unbounded world getting narrower is great. This game reminds me of Manifold Garden. I also like the foggy aesthetic since it boosts the mood a lot. However, I still don't know if there is a goal to seek in the game but I still had a lot of fun falling around and shooting enemies randomly. Some visual and audio polish plus some goals (if it doesn't have one) will make it perfect. Great job.
Just shooting myself like a retard. Had fun.
Nice game, Love how everything is balanced! Good luck, Don't forget to take a look at ours if you don't mind and see what it's like when we just focused on graphics in this game jam! Game Link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42a
