So, I would love to play the game. However I could not, because the game being on HTML was too performance heavy for my computer to handle, just saying.

Very interesting game mechanic, fits perfectly the theme.

I could play it I just found it very confusing and quite complex. I never truly found out more than the basics of trading. I wished it was a bit less confusing(especially since you had a tutorial system). I really think if I understood it it would be a cool game

@woofdog99 Sorry about the performance issue, I added a fix to the HTML build with a quality selection button in the top right of the screen. I hope that fixes the issue!

@c0d3d Thanks for your feedback! I completely agree with you that the game is on the confusing side, I didn't have a lot of time to reduce the complexity before the deadline unfortunately. It ended up being like a tough puzzle game for me, even when I knew all the rules and mechanics. I will add notes to the description for future players. Thanks for giving it a try!

I had lots of fun with this one! I ended up cursing everything possible, although I didn't see any end-game screen or anything. It started out a bit daunting, since there seems to be alot going on, but once you get the big picture it really becomes an interesting puzzle game.

I kept getting confused on which currency belonged to which country though, it might be a good idea to bold the text of the main currency a country uses, so you know where to trade.

All in all, really enjoyed it! Nice work!

DANG! that's a good game! first off, I love pirates. so it really just needs polish, but I could easily spend an afternoon playing that on my phone. please have that on google play for android when LD is over!

I love it! This is my kind of game, and really fits the theme. Some of the sound effects are a bit too loud - they were painful to hear at high volume on my machine. But I had tons of fun!

You weren't kidding about it being hard to learn! I love the graphics, simple, clearly identifiable, but pleasant to look at. Both the atmospheric and UI sounds were spot on. the gameplay was a bit tough for me, though. I might check back when I have more time to figure it out.

I've never seen a trading game done quite like this before. Bravo!

I played up until the point where I controlled all ships and one island. The problem I started facing at that point was I had a shortage of one currency, so I didn't have ways to make more doubloons(the currency existed, but it was trapped on already captured ships, making it hard to get at, and the island that traded that currency ran out). It might be possible to go further by carefully managing currencies across your whole fleet.

Great game, right up my alley! This is the kind of idea i hope for when i'm starting a jam, and you sir, you nailed it. Simple in mechanics, deep in complexity, beautiful yet not overwhelming and a solid gameplay system that relies on no further content to make it engaging.

Only complaints are a few bugs i've encountered (the Doubloon seems to not trade as normal after lost) and the lack of friendly UI to teach the player what it's supposed to do without having to read the tutorial. Amazing game!
