I can't play the game because the links don't lead anywhere. Maybe you forgot to push publish on the download pages?

gamedevkng 2019-05-01 20:06

@dkmk100 Thank you !!!

dkmk100 2019-05-01 20:15

Yay!! I can play now!!

Looks cool!

dkmk100 2019-05-01 20:41

Wow!! Amazing!! Definately the best ludum dare game I have ever played! I do wish the camera worked better but overall its amazing

gamedevkng 2019-05-01 20:52

@dkmk100 Thank you very much ! It's deeply appreciated :) I'm glad you enjoyed it ! I had to put a lot of features on hold since I was lacking time to implement them (more NPC interaction, villagers working in the different buildings, switching your main character with another animal to gain bonus (ex.: rabbit -> jump higher, run faster) but I'm working on a post-ludumdare version :D with all those features implemented ;)

dkmk100 2019-05-01 21:37

@gamedevkng I am looking forward to the post-jam version! I recommend you also work on the camera. The concept is amazing although the execution could use a little work it is overall very smooth. I love the way you can knock down the old hedgehogs who teach you things( not a nice way to repay them! :smirk: ) and how cute the animal models are.

dkmk100 2019-05-01 21:54

@gamedevkng you realize you have to rate other people's games for them to be able to find yours, right? If you don't rate other people's games yours wont get rated and you won't qualify

gamedevkng 2019-05-01 23:33

@dkmk100 I will certainly fix the camera (or try to :P) And yes I need to rate others, I was trying to fix the resolution problem before. I had a similar issue in a previous gamejam and a lot of people complained about the 1920x1080 only resolution. I think I figured it out, I will ran some tests tonight :) Thank you again for your feedback :) I will let you know as soon as the post-ld version is available :)

Love the atmosphere of this game, but some issues with camera and controls (and floating hint panels) are making the game hard to play.

black-potion 2019-05-03 20:04

impressive level design for that amount of time!

black-potion 2019-05-03 20:04

i double cliked on publish comment and now i have to fill this comment or you will have a weird blank comment :D

@gamedevkng Great ambient sound and cool art. I couldn't get very far but I like the vibe.

mrstari 2019-05-05 14:32

awesome ambient and graphic but i dont like the camera using, it is annoying for me. :hearts:

purrseus 2019-05-17 21:22

Whoa, the atmosphere in this one blew me totally away :open_mouth:

The camera controls are really wonky and the quickly floating textboxes are a bit irritating and hard to read, but...

The game itself is amazing. The graphics and audio are absolutely wonderful, the world you build is incredibly charming while also spooky... It all gits together. This game just * * feels * * right. Amazing job.

The atmosphere and game are really quite amazing. Also, as someone who does voxel art this is the standard I one day hope to achieve. Also, the music is really good overall. My only complaint is, as others have said, the camera is extremely wonky and the worst part is the inability to zoom in without reseting it.

Honestly, I am extremely confused as to why it has so few ratings.

oddsocks 2019-05-19 05:19

Awesome game! Like others have said, the atmosphere is tremendous. Camera control is a little annoying. But wow! What a game for a LDJam, and solo too. Congrats 🙌 Also the voxel art is great... I have a new found love for it.

justmars 2019-05-19 11:57

Amazing graphics, effects work and audio, which all contribute to a overall superb mood. It was like actually being in a forest, despite being low poly. But the camera controls were either really bad, or the html build just didn't work as intended.

attala 2019-05-19 20:10

There, you are over 20 votes :) I like this game. I think the movement of the main character was a bit slow and as others have stated the camera controls could be better. Apart from that this was a solid entry with good graphics, sound and game mechanics. Good job!

miu 2019-05-20 09:16

the game is great but some thing is the screen of the browser version is cut

lexyvil 2019-05-20 23:54

Love the ambiance and the graphics! What could have really made it better is an improved camera system, where it got stuck a few times when I went close to walls, but everything else for one weekend is pretty amazing!

dkmk100 2019-05-21 01:53

This game is really cool. You also never exactly put a licence on it so I am wondering about that. Would you maybe upload your source code and let people tinker with it?

gamedevkng 2019-05-21 13:09

@dkmk100 Thank you! I'm actually working on the postjam version ;) I post updates on the front page of ldjam and my daily gamedev progress on (instagram)[https://www.instagram.com/gamedevklingon] and (twitter)[https://twitter.com/gamedevklingon] :)

@oddsocks @justmars @mrstari @mehozavr @lexyvil Thank you very much ! The camera is under a big revision phase :P I thought it would be a good idea to have a dynamic camera that change angles depending of your location, but wow it turned out a terrible idea ;)

@purrseus Thank you for your feedback ! The camera fix is already under way, but I will also make sure that the textboxes animation are fixed in the postjam version.

@c0d3d Thank you I appreciate it :) You will achieve it, the more you create voxel art, the more you learn and the better you become!

@jordantanner @black-potion Thank you :D

@attala Thank you so much :) I totally agree with you, the character speed will be adjusted :)

@miu Thank you for your feedback, I will make sure this will be fixed in the postjam version :)

@dkmk100 Thank you again for your early precious feedback and your interest in the game :)

dkmk100 2019-05-21 22:51

Wow that’s cool
