The game doesn't seems to load correctly  (at least in the LD integration)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Summoner Defense

Played the Windows Version. Works flawlessly! Great game! The graphics are awesome. Love the backgrounds and especially the idle and attack animations of your minions are awesome. I love that they are able to move around a bit. The tower defense mechanic is simple but effective and matches the theme. Good job!
Yes @leozero sorry, you need to download the zip..
Thank you @zubspace !!
Great job on the game! The tower placement felt a little finicky, though
Very interesting twist to a classic wave based tower defence game. Visuals looked nice. Really enjoyed playing it.
Hey guys! Good job, it seems you made a great job and it works great! I won with a team of archers:) Thanks for the game!
Thank you for playing and feedback !
Congrats on finishing your first jam! The game is a bit janky but playable and finishable, so good job!
The web version is playable on itch.io
Great entry, didnt feel bad for the attacking bugs one bit.
Archers wreck the battlefield lmao, nice game
Won using the classic tactic of clustering a ton of cheap ranged troops together. (Age of War Impossible difficulty clubmen inside clubmen and chicken turrets reference)
The game turned out to be not so difficult and with some glitches (my archers glitched and became unresponsive from time to time), but it is short and fun. I also found that archers are the winning strategy. Just build cheap archers more. Congratulations on your first entry!
Maybe you can try to "Disable Data Caching" in your Unity WebGL settings, we had the same problem with our WebGL version here on the Ludum Dare site and that fixed it. (https://ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/) Otherwise it's a great game, I had fun playing it!
@starlex3000 Thank you for that ! It now works on the Ludum Dare site!
The art on the menu is beautiful, and the music goes well with the mood.
The defense mechanics work well, even if you can move your defenders at will. This seems to make the experience a little easier, but it's still a good idea.
The fact that they move a little from themselves to the enemy can sometimes be a problem, when several enemies arrive at the same distance, they bug out and stop attacking.
Happy tower defense!
This was a really nice and solid tower defense game! Great job! I think you had all the right elements, with some summons which acted in different ways, and a map where you could try out different strategies for summon placements. One thing which was a bit unclear at the beginning was where the enemies would come from and what I should defend, but this became clear pretty quickly after a couple rounds. Great submission, especially for your first game jam :D
Cool tower defense game, art was great and the audio was nice. Good work!
Cool little game! I really liked the summoning animations and the pixel art! Nice music also! And nice variety of spawns and enemies!
I think it was a bit unfortunate the projectiles sprites only spawn so far from the archer and mage, I understood they were dealing damage, but it was a bit hard to see. I think it would be great with health bars on the enemies as well, since it was hard to evaluate what the different summons where worth, if I could see how much 3 archers dealt vs one mage that would have been nice! I don't think you need the actual stats (and all the ui to go with it) but a health bar on the enemy would be nice.
There are some spelling mistakes (it's a jam game so I mean, that's fine), but it said "iddle" in the start screen instead of "idle" and "vague" instead of wave. As I said, that's a minor thing, but I was a bit confused until I decided it was a spelling error.
I think the pixel art looks really good, but I felt the warriors didn't really fit in. Don't get me wrong, they also looked really nice, but they were missing the outline of the other animation. I guess you were multiple artist or the style was iterated upon, which is understandable. But if you ever want to update the game, maybe it could be updated to fit in a little better :)
I played all 7 waves and I wished there more because the last waves felt great when I started to get a lot of summons! All in all, well done!
@k-toll Thank you for your feedback, for our first game jam we wanted to make a reachable game.
@wuppos Thank you for your feedback, at the base we wanted to add a summon circle but we haven't because of a lack of time during the polish of the game.
@prismapunch Thank you for your feedback, we haven't done art and audio ourselves.
@bjornstenlund Thank you, we take notes of your feedback for the next game jam.
I played the embedded version on edge, I did have some situations where it felt like my units weren't shooting but maybe still killing things, and the units seemed to wobble around and get stuck feeling like they weren't attacking at all...? It was weird which detracted from being able to fully engage, however overall it was a pretty decent take on a tower defense game.
I'm really impressed you managed to make a whole tower defense game! I liked how there were a lot of different paths, but because you can place towers overlapping it was easier for me to just defend the point at the end where they all come together. I think adding descriptions of the different towers would also make it easier to play strategically. I really liked the music, especially the menu theme. It was a bit abrupt when the menu music cut out though, it might help to add a fade effect. Overall great entry!
