Really good game!Hope to see more in the future!!!
Game doesn't start for me - stuck on the unity loading screen (just played a few other entries so I doubt it's my browser ?)
@leorid I'm really sorry. It seems that my Web Build has some problem that cannot be loaded properly.
Maybe try out our EXE version?
We are still trying to fix this problem but I can't promise anything...

I was so laggy that my message repeated several times... Sorry!
@leorid Hi! We just fixed our web version! It seems that the error has something to do with compression.
Enjoy it!
Nice game.
Looks interesting, there's a lot gameplay going on.
Some kind of tutorial would help a lot, or perhaps tooltips for various tile types.
My avast removed .exe couse of "IDP.Generic" xD For 2d unity project to work with WebGL you can try to go into "Project Settings -> Player -> WebGL Tab -> Publish Settings ->Compression Format" and set this to disable, hope it helps.
Fun game! Definitely could have benefited from particles, and screen shake though. Also, I couldn't really tell what I was doing, and what I was supposed to be doing, or what all the blocks did. Other than that, it was alot of fun! I especially liked the feeling of impending doom as the stuff started crashing down on my fort
I like what this game seems to be aiming for: some kind of tactical reverse tetris where you need to carefully plan out your resources and offensive capability in order cope with an increasing threat from above. However, what I ended up just clicking on a bunch of icons to see what they did. I think the next step for this would be some kind of in-game inspector that presents the player with data on what each block does. The little rockets seemed the most useful, as they actually keep the god tiles from pressing down too far.
@genpaku Thank you! We've fixed the WebGL version with your method and it works! (At least for us) Thanks a lot!
@eboatwright Thanks for your feedback, we will add an introduction of each tile when you point your cursor at it and upgrade the game soon
@defrag Thanks for your advice! Hope we can finish that function before Jam ends
@lighty-the-light Great! :D
Pretty fun game! Love it! I just think that the sound should get a little more attention. But, good job and great game!
nice work! :D
I find the concept very interesting but I have troubles finding how to play it. Maybe a clearer instruction next time. I don't know what the stuffs are doing.
Really good work, wouldnt mind playing this for a few hours. A game of this scale however i wouldnt even try with the webgl.
took a moment to understand what i was doing, but I did like it after I got it
@danonino Thank you for your reply! And we decided to remove Web version from our LDJAM page to provide a better experience for new-comers. Glad that you enjoyed our game!
Had taken a bit to understand how it works because I had not read the instructions :D
This was a really enjoyable game with a impressive amount of mechanical depth. It's unfortunate you ran out of time to create all your graphic assets, because the ones you got round to finishing were quite good, especially the level background. A few things could have been conveyed better, like the resource cost of units (There's not much contrast on the resource text, and I didn't realize it was changing to show cost) and what the valid squares for placing a unit are. Also, having the final-wave trigger either unlock late in the game or require an end-game resource might have been a more intuitive way to stop people building it earlier than intended rather than call it out in the game description. Overall, I really liked this one. It was really satisfying to generate heaps of resources every turn and eventually have groups of the best units wiping out the enemy waves. Nice work guys!
@skyward4d Thank you for your advice! We actually designed the crown to be unlocked after 20 waves of normal levels. But we haven't start making the crown tile until late in the 3rd day so we have to adapt what we've got here. If we are making a full version for this game, we'll surely adapt your advice.
Anyway, thanks for playing!
@skyward4d We updated the game so that player will have a much smaller group of tiles that they can use at the beginning of the game. And we also made the crown tile much harder to build. Thanks for your advice again!
I loved the design of this, such a cool idea and got very addicted well done
You've got a really fun idea here, it's tower defense-y in some regards but also a bit of a puzzle game. A tutorial would be very useful here as I found myself pretty overwhelmed by choice at first. The ability to see what the buildings do that the enemy has built between rounds would also be nice, I found myself building incorrectly because I didn't know what was coming.
@thomas-higgins Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed our game :D
@pwnofprophecy Thank you for your advice! We will definately add some tutorial if we are going to develop this game further  And maybe add a Codex system for player to review those blocks they've encountered
A codex is a great idea actually, so your first experience with a block is a mystery but you'll have it recorded for the future runs. Encourages multiple playthroughs and all that, would definitely recommend.
It was confusing at first, but it quickly became one of the most fun games in this LD that I've tried so far! It'd be nice if you could check what the enemy blocks do so you can plan accordingly.
The graphics add a lot to the fun, it's enjoyable to watch. So good job on that (the sound too). The resource numbers could be a bit more contrasting to the background. I'm also personally not a fan of mixed pixel sizes, it makes some of the icons appear to be a bit sloppy than the others.
I love the effort that went into this game. Good job!
Few things I noticed: Keep the art style consistent. Also the text was very blurry. Maybe sort the building-blocks by "resource", "block", "attacker" for a better overview of the build options. It was a bit confusing :)
Wow this was really fun. I got super into it. I like how clear the icons were for everything. Not an art masterpiece but extremely functional and clear. I like the slow progression of things you can build.
Great Game!Lots of fun.11.png
@siskan @stefan-funke @david-york @fed44 Thanks for playing! You guys really encouraged us a lot! We'll add category system into next build for sure! (If it exists :p)
Wow @fed44 You're a beast! That is such an impressive build!
Really nice game, good ideas and quite a balanced mechanic already :D Great work !
Very smart mix between a tower defense and tetris. Good job!
@minusc @bastienre4 Thanks for playing! Good to see you guys love this game
adding a tutorial will make it easier for players to understand more about the game. But a nice game! Well done!
40 Ratings! Congratulation to myself!
had a great time playing this! something about it is just especially fun. the fact that you cant remove blocks after you've placed them definitely adds a huge challenge... maybe not a fair one. perhaps if you allowed block removal with a resource cost? i just keep dying to a single column lol
Really addictive game I gotta say. Nothing much to complain here at all. It has a nice difficulty scaling, alot of content andit's fun! Keep up the good work!
This is very innovative! It took me a moment to learn how to play, but once you get the hang of it, it plays great! The graphics and music fit togeter very nicely :-)
@6smith Thanks for playing! We actually designed our gameplay with the idea that tiles can't be removed by ourselves, but we've prepared TNT tiles (which we have not completed) to destruct nearby tiles along with it.
Will finish TNT tiles in the final build(if exists) for sure
@sn4pi @wouter52 Thank you guys for playing!
It's annoying to not be able to remove my own blocks, I spammed cheap farms and now can't upgrade them :(
Great game, it really grew on me after learning how it worked. I also really like the general color palette and the unique defense/puzzle aspect of the game. Well done!
@dkmk100 That is actually a part of the design. We want our players to fail and try again for couple of times to reach a balanced building arrangement. But without a proper tutorial it seems hard to get the hang of it though...
Also there are other players had adviced us that we can make it possible to destroy blocks with some cost...
Anyway, thanks for your feedback! We'll discuss on how to fix this problem in the future!
@matterlinx Thank you for playing!
Placing cheap blocks feels really punishing because you permanently loose that space, so currently you're encouraged to avoid growth for as long as possible which is... odd...
@dkmk100 Thank you for your reply! I'm thinking that, maybe we can make more levels and unlock tiles accordingly. The strength of enemy also grows over stages. And tiles will be cleared after each level.
Just like Plants V.S. Zombies!
Players may not feel the burden of space at the beginning. But after they went through a few levels and understood the ability of each tile, we can bring up this challenge. The tutorial can also just blend right in!
Also we can unlock a tool to remove tiles after a few levels!
Wait a minute... Is is exactly what PVZ did...
the game looks interesting but need a lot of time to invest. i am going to try it again later when i have more time. it looks like a lot of effort was put into it. thanks for making it.
I recorded myself playing, message me on the Jam’s discord @ Dark Peace and I’ll send it to you. This is really good but I got f* up by the metal spawning way too late. I was ready to build metal stuff but got no metal, and the time metal arrived, my units didn't survive.
@bottled-up-dark-peace Thanks for playing! Sadly I can't use Discord in my area. But I'm so glad that you recorded!
It is hard to collect locked resources to unlock new buildings if the player choose to destroy enemy's building early... We once decided that to be a game feature but now I guess that'll cause confusion. Will fix that in fully-developed build!
Again, thanks a lot for playing my game!
Oh, you may be able to send the video to my email, which is lighty@mail.ustc.edu.cn
Really well done game! Nice take on tower defense games. It would be nice to give player info about what buildings it is missing and what to do to unlock them, so the player is no completely blind. Just some balancing and some music are needed :) Simply impressive.
Very cool concept! Never seen another game quite like this one and I think that with more polish it could be a really fun time! It did take a while to get a hold of the mechanics, but once I did I started enjoying the game a lot. There's a surprising amount of depth, so it would have been nice to have the start of the game be more limited (I think my first playthrough I ended up wasting all of my wood on walls and since no enemies drop wood, I never got to build tree farms/food farms) Other than that, it's a pretty solid base for a great game! Great work on this!
@zimny11 Thank you for playing! Tutorials will surely be included in our full build  We'll make sure the difficulty just goes up step by step next time :p
@candlebird Thanks you for playing! We surely missed some guidance and tutorials... Will fix that in the future! Glad you enjoyed our game!
Never seen anything like this, that's definitely innovative. Not only that, but a solid game as well, really cool entry!
Nice game and definitely very innovative, art is cool and sound effect as well. Well done.
@quadape @mar3k Thanks for playing!
Cool entry! Took me a while to figure out how to play, but was fun once I did! Lovely art and sound too. Good job on the submission.
@sophiablabla Thank you for playing!
this is really fun game. reminded me of Loop Hero but i cant really articulate why... I am really bad at this but it didnt stop me playing through 4 times. Get the art finished, polish the sound design and slap a price tag on this, its great
Great fun game! I think it really a good idea to let the players put the resource blocks and defensive blocks in the same frame, just like I'm playing a complex strategic game in a simple tetris-like scene. Congratulations. Btw, i think the frame around the firework shooter icon is quite confusing because I often think I was placing a firework shooter but I'm actually not. Maybe being able to sell some blocks will help?
@radmccool Thanks for playing! Maybe oneday you'll see this game on steam! (At least we hope so!)
@yukimiitsuka Thanks for playing! We'll fix that art resources in Complete Edition! The only reason it now has a frame is that, we have to make every tile looks like a cube to let the player know that they can build blocks upon that... And the block destruction system, we'll figure out a way to make it more balanced, like having a cost to remove blocks, or unlock this feature in late game.
Really glad that you enjoyed our game!
Really cool concept! There could be a tutorial at the start, maybe 3-5 rounds, and then it resets and starts normally or something. With a little bit more polish, I could see this on Steam or somewhere else  Great job!
@noiyy Thanks for playing! We are actually considering making it into a game that has a PVZ-like level management, with tiles unlocked after each level, and minigames, and tools that are unlocked after a few levels...
Not sure if it's a good idea. But there'll be tutorials for sure!
This is a really well designed and balanced stradegy game. The tower defence setup with the Tetris layout worked great, I definitely found myself testing out different layouts and approaches in each play through I attampted.
@lenny-rudeberg We are so glad that players are really investigating into this game! Thanks for playing!
Really a nice work reminds me the
@zitao-ye Thank you so much for playing! We are looking forward to make a complete version of this game! But it may took quite a while though, since we are getting busy doing homework. We might complete this game in May!
Amazing Game!Hope to see you in Ludum Dare 51
@haoyun-zhang Thanks for playing! (We may not have that time for LDJAM 51 though, gotta work for our bread :p )
Still, glad you like it!
