Oh Dr. Umdare and his BOMB! This was fun, I got a Chip's Challenge vibe from it. We all know what it's like to have to walk away from a project before it's where you want it, so I wouldn't stress out about that. Be proud of what you've accomplished in the little bit of time you were given, and the good news is you can always go back to it and update it after Ludum Dare! Thanks for letting us play your game!

Thank you for sharing this, that was a lot of fun! It took me longer than I'd like to admit to figure out that I needed to go through that door to get to the actual game, but once I got in and started finding heart containers I was having a blast. I love the art style!

The water effect is so good, and I love the little cat! It's amazing what some of you peeps manage to do with PICO 8, this is really well done, thanks for letting us play it!

@rossng - I'm definitely going to be pushing out some post-jam updates, and I want to work on some music and sound effects for sure. I wish I could have got that in there before time ran out but c'est la vie.
@pixelcrustpunk - I agree! I'm going to personally make an effort to make more games that are more socially conscious.
@repine - Thank you! I got a new "real job" this year so I haven't been spending as much time doing game development, but what little time I've spent I've tried to focus on "game feel." There is still some opportunities for polish, as this was definitely a rushed job, but I'm happy with what I have so far.
@tractorfarm - I love games where you can change the direction of your shots, it's such a small thing but it makes such a big difference.
@pincushion Thank you so much! I do plan to work on it more post-LD, and to make it more apparent how you die. As it is, when you die from being hit by an enemy bullet, when you die from being hit by an enemy directly, and when you die from running out of money, it just resets the game, so there's no real difference or indication. There isn't a winning condition at this point, either. Originally the idea was that after killing so many enemies you would progress to the next level, something to that effect will be worked in post-LD. For now, for the LD version, you just try to kill as many enemies as you can before you die.

@mdWade Thanks for the critique! I'm definitely going to compose and add sound effects and music to the game post-LD, but in 9 hours it was just impossible to do everything I wanted. When it came down to the wire, gameplay was more important than sound for the proof-of-concept.

Nice work! The level design was well done and the betting lives mechanic was very interesting. I haven't seen that done before.

Great job, @derpylz! You nailed the theme, and I loved the concept, the intro, the music, and the gameplay mechanic. I tried hard but I couldn't get past 44 seconds, I bookedmarked it though so I can come back. ;)

Well done! It took me a second to figure out how to shoot but that's because I'm an idiot and didn't read the instructions. Once I figured that out it was a lot of fun, dropping gold bars all over the place like the devilishly handsome man I am.
LOL the screams of the colonists had me dying. This is a fun little game, love the art style, too, and who wouldn't? Awesome work, keep making stuff like this.

Nice take on the theme, and well done on creating those 3D assets so quickly. The music really sets the tone and puts you in a relaxing mood which is great for a game like this.

This was really fun, some clever puzzles - it took me a minute to figure out I could carry tetrinos from one room to another, but in the end I did make it to the treasure at the end! Great job!

Anonymous - I changed it on ITCH.IO so that it doesn't allow for donations. The post-jam version adds music and sound effects and makes some changes to gameplay. There is a block of text above the download links that outlines some of the changes - but yeah definitely play the JAM version for voting purposes.
In the next update I'll make it so you can invert and re-map the controls!
Thanks Sean! I agree, the gloves could be expanded upon to be more varied and have some sort of AI, and maybe there should be a stronger penalty for hitting one.
