The idea is close to our game) But it is not clear why energy is being restored or lost. And why is there a man drawn?

@vertuga32 Unfortunately I didn't allow enough time to really hash out the intro/tutorial well. One line I forgot to put in the instructions was that everything except seaweed produces passive energy. The man is suppose to be an energy gauge. The idea was the player is a sea god/goddess adding life to the ocean. Apparently there's a bug with the energy gauge not always being accurate, but I didn't catch it til after the deadline. Anyway, thank you for giving my game a try!
I liked the clean graphism and the calm music, but, I don't think the theme is really used :p (I didn't note humor, because, I don't think it apply right here)
Fun game I ended up with a pretty successful underwater paradise... unless you were a fish... if you were a fish then it was probably more like hell :D
Played this for a long time, I don't know why it is so chill but it is! Capture.JPG
Nice job, very soothing game, loved the sound design.
Nice Game. ended up playing for a good 15 minutes only main issue i found is it slow lags to a unplayable point the bigger it gets. If you were to develop it further in the future i think have a male/female version of all the creatures could be interesting makes it harder for you to balance it with it being a 50/50 chance when a new one is born. and the have a scrolling screen so the play area is bigger than the display with left/right arrows on the sides to move side to side. this last suggestion is mainly to cope with lag as then you don't need everything rendered at the same time only whats on the screen. but overall very impressive game and had fun playing it :)
@thenerdster Wow that's a lot of sharks! Glad you enjoyed it.
@frog5tar I was having some issues getting it balanced quite right. I should have put a cap on the plants reproducing, as I imagine that's the majority of the lag. Glad you liked the game and thanks for the suggestions!
Good job! An interesting concept, reminded me of trying to keep my Tamagotchi alive. I was able to continue indefinitely just using the seawood fish and shrimp.
Pretty fun although it got a little boring and it took me a while to figure how you gain energy.
It's a very relaxing game. I've been playing it for a long time. Its design is great, but it doesn't seem to fit the theme very well.
Really nice concept. Il liked it very much.
I like the concept. Very relaxing!
Such a peaceful game, very nice work Some animations would make it a lot more alive. Maybe add a timer to count how long you can survive.
A lovely, relaxing and peaceful game with beautiful art.
Gameplay was super relaxing, almost therapeutic even!
Concept is fantastic. It had a sort of addictive quality to it. The colours and art were really nice. I would love to see this game expanded on post LD. Congrats on an epic LD entry 🙌
Really like the graphic and music.
A fun and super relaxing little game. Well done.
Great mood, a really relaxing game :) I also like the theme a lot. Possible improvements would be clearer feedback about the age / hunger of an animal, their energy production as well as some nice sprite animations ;)
Unfortunately I encountered a bug while playing: 2019-05-06 17_37_46-GameMaker_ Studio.png
@h-m-murdock Thanks! This was sadly the first LD jam I didn't get around to making animations. I'm not sure about a timer, but I could have definitely done better on creating a goal/end game.
@oddsocks I'm flattered! Thank you for the compliments!
@yazara Interesting, haven't seen that bug before. Thanks for the feedback and bug report!
Very good game. It makes fun to place new creatures and see them eating the whole aquarium. Good work!
very relaxing, calm... I like that the loss of energy over time is very small - it slows down the pace of the game.

got real far before getting the error code others have mentioned above.
really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the entire game. got completely lost in the experience for a long while... it was great
well done!
I found it a very calming game with nice music. Though I did encounter a bug with the fish get stuck on the left side of the screen.
