This is a fantastic game. I can't believe this was done in only 48 hours - you have great graphics, gameplay depth, lore...its awesome! Well done, well done!

Amazing production for a compo entry! Quality of the art, sound, and writing is great, the the quantity of it is crazy. Code wise as well, a city builder is a complex game to make (even if you're reusing engine code). I found no bugs.
Amazing that 1 person generated this from scratch in 48 hours.
Reminds me of Fallen London, which is a good thing :)
With that said, my constructive criticism/nitpicking:
- I found the gameplay a bit linear/boring at times, it felt like there isn't much to do while waiting for the next rite to complete. - Perhaps making the rites more like a tech tree with various branches would make the decision of which rite to do next more interesting - perhaps a bit of a stretch thematically that the cultists have to build mines/sawmills/wharfs in the sewers of london, maybe they could be reskinned as something else that ties in better with the theme. Maybe instead of mines, you salvage junk, or send pickpockets to the surface etc - while the sound is amazing, it would be nice to have some ambient background noise/music - I wasn't sure where mines could be placed - I managed to place one by randomly hovering over sections of the map - I was hoping for a bit more of an ending, at least another little paragraph of flavour text :)
But all in all I am in awe, well done sir
That's an amazing game compared to the time you had, it clearly shows that you have some experience in the field, I'm so admirative !
As said above, it just lacks a little something to do when you just have to wait, especially since the game stops when I alt-tab out ahah (on Linux, Linux build works btw!).
Other than that, I can only dream of the day I'll be as skilled as you. Keep up the great work !
absolutely stunning work. I had trouble finding where to place the mines. luckily I wasn't pressed for time. I played for longer than I needed to, but it was fun watching my numbers go up. The audio atmosphere might have gotten old if there was a melody looping the whole time, so I didn't mind that there wasn't any music. I got some prisoners and tried to make an acolyte, but it didn't change the number in the HUD. not sure if I missed something. Congratulations on the beautiful game!
Wow, a lot of nice work here! Love the graphics especially the cloud/smoke. Great job!
Wow, can't believe this game is in the Compo. I love the visuals. The sprites and effects look really awesome. The gameplay, while realtively linear, is fun and I think there is an optimal strategy in here, to complete the game as fast as possible. On the other hand you could take your time and build a huge civilization.
Small critique points are: I could not figure out where to put mines until the very end. I don't know what affects the ritual speed and sometimes they get completed very slowly. The ending is a bit underwhelming.
Still, I love this game, good job!
Woah, this is super impressive. It just looks really cool, you even see the little acolytes moving around the place which is a nice touch, and the theme is super interesting aswell. My only minor complaint is that exploring is really fast and the ending is a little anti-climactic the way it is right now, but despite that i really like this! Amazing work in those two days.
Others have said it...but wow. Love love the art. Would be nice to have a bit of a tutorial, but overall a great piece of work.
As other have said the artwork in this game is fantastic! Until I read the comments I honestly didn't notice there wasn't any music, I guess I was too engrossed in the game! I will say the moving backdrop was kind of hypnotic at times. All in all I really enjoyed this game.
Amazing art and a pretty unique game overall! I really enjoyed the scouting and discovering new parts of the map. Great writing and a fun story behind the rites, really impressive.

I downloaded the Mac version, and while it didn't immediately work, I was aware of the issue and was able to fix it.
I liked the graphics and mood, but I couldn't really figure out what to do. I found out how to click a space to build an alter, and then, nothing. It looks a little different on my ultra wide than on the screenshots, but I don't think I'm missing any UI elements.
I'm thinking I'll bookmark this one and come back to it later.

Absolutely nailed theme! Settling in and explore this eldritch temple is great idea!
Interesting game! It took some patience waiting for everyone to read their books lol, but I had a good time and I was able to complete it :) Great job!
What an amazing game it's nearly perfect if it was longer I would not hesitate to buy it !
Great game! I really like the concept!
Very well done. Impressive graphics, good mood. Little missing things : like many, I couldn't understand at first where to place the mines (for those searching : it's the two big sphere on the wall next to two red marks on the ground), and this kind of game really needs a "delete" button. I ended up my first playthrough with people starving because I didn't notice food (that's on me), restarted, but even while doing things better, there comes a point where you don't need wood or metal and freeing those workers to go into altars would have made the end less of a waiting simulator (which is always the risk with this kind of game). I ended up with 45 workers, 41 hierophants and over a 100 science per day when I decided it'll be a short enough wait to open the door, this took a long time, a lot of raids and a lot of recruitment. Also, being able to unselect the building would have helped, but it wasn't that big of an issue in the end.
Overall, very impressive, amazing graphics, good sounds, very well done.
Love it, this game was very well made and had a real air of mystery about it. It was a little hard to grasp the main gameplay loop and a little more tutorial at the beginning might have been nice to understand how all the mechanics played together, but on my second attempt I was able to reach the end without any of my acolytes dying of starvation. I would love to see a more fleshed out version of this with voice acting and stuff, would definitely check it out on steam or another platform if it was developed further. Great entry.
This was so good! The mines are hard to figure out where to place and it would be nice to be able to tell your acolites where to go. That was fun though! I liked it!
I love everything about this game!
Oh the rain! You caught me letting the game run in the menu while browsing twitter... The game gave me Diablo 2 crossed with [Underhand](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.cornell.gdiac.underhand&hl=de&gl=US) vibes. I think that would be a game you could enjoy!
Certainly the best/most writing I've seen in a compo entry so far. Spot on with the aesthetics as well. The art, audio, and writing all worked really well together to set the mood. There was maybe a bit too much waiting though.
Feels very great!
Fantastic game! Looks incredible. Great job creating moodiness with the glows and the clouds etc. Only complaint is lack of feedback, it was a little hard to tell what was going on, I think a simplified game system with less content would showcase that content better. Great work.
The art is really cool !
Great atmosphere and feel, brilliant game!
Five stars for graphics, audio, and mood. The visuals are great. I love isometric stuff :)
It's neat but the loading times for the prayers and whatnot are a bit long for my taste It's great you have a x3 option for the speed at which time passes - I say add a 5x & a 10x The graphics fir together though - and you finished the project proper - thou I found the end card a tad underwhelming Good game overall - thanks for sharing :)
Big fan of theme. Wish the tooltips would be pinned to a location rather than follow your mouse when you hover, makes them difficult to read. Wasn't super sure what I should be doing after completing the first right, and it took a big hit in performance with more on the screen. Maybe something to do with my machine? A+ for the mood and graphics though
Very great graphics and atmosphere. Talking about gameplay I don't know I it's possible (I didn't see the option) to move the cultist from one building to another, but that would improve the game a lot.
Great job.
