To Thine Own Heart Feed Blood by civilianzero 2020-04-26T02:06:42Z

@epicular Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! A technical issue that we didn't have time to resolve was audio feedback for bloodbeasts inside areas like the well and house. You're spot on that it's a bit frustrating to have to manually check them every time, as the audio cue only plays once you enter. A lot of the spritework was messy because I probably got carried away with the number of objects I wanted to put in and should have focused more on making a smaller number of things read more effectively.

Thanks again!

Love the originality! I had a hard time working out that I was supposed to drag the cards and not move, given there were arrows on screen. Also I muted the volume and was never able to get it to come back. Fixed on restarting, other than that great job!

Deeper and Deeper in Debt - Slumlord by automatonvx 2021-05-07T14:05:57Z

Dig the relaxing music a bunch. It's always fun to play something where things keep automatically making you money, and sending everyone around frantically to repair things and put out fires is pretty engaging. I also thought it was funny that the second level advises you to prioritize getting a fire truck, and the first building I put down happened to almost instantly catch fire XD

Adore the style, well done! Seriously craving for that punchy sound to match the visuals.

Truly superb mechanic here. I didn't know what was going on with the variables at first because I didn't read the beginning of the description hahah

The mechanic execution of the puzzles gets more difficult than working out how to solve them, so maybe slightly longer timers on the variables for breathing room would be good. Love the backgrounds as well. Excellent job!

Superb! Bit difficult to control on a trackpad haha

GRAPPLE the Abyss! by lectvs 2021-04-30T14:35:07Z

I dig it! Reminds of Celeste. Only think is I thought the obstacles moved a bit too fast towards the beginning haha

Love it! This is the first Ludum Dare game I've ever actually come back to later because I wanted to play more. There are a couple overall user experience improvements I could suggest though:

- The amount of buildings available from the getgo is overwhelming, and there's not a good way ingame to figure out what they all do, so maybe unlocking them gradually would flow better. - Specific color squares for placing buildings that need to go in a specific place (ie ore tiles) would be helpful , as I had a difficult time at the beginning trying to work out where the ore tiles were.

Loved the megaboss as well, I pushed north and was disappointed, assuming it was just one of the larger crabs, and then was suddenly very surprised haha. Well done!

Down the rabbit hole by bbaf 2021-05-07T13:39:32Z

I'm not sure what I just played but I'm pretty sure I liekd it.

Had trouble reading the enemies ideas fast enough to determine what book to use on them, ended up just spamming and trying to run. Love the theme though!

The Forgotten Halls by vfqd 2021-04-30T14:54:05Z

Big fan of theme. Wish the tooltips would be pinned to a location rather than follow your mouse when you hover, makes them difficult to read. Wasn't super sure what I should be doing after completing the first right, and it took a big hit in performance with more on the screen. Maybe something to do with my machine? A+ for the mood and graphics though

Love the music!

GODSVAR'S RAGE by THEWHYE 2021-05-07T13:48:39Z

I liked it! The tutorial at the beginning was pretty overwhelming, I played through the whole game forgetting there was even a shop where I could buy upgrades. But it made me laugh so just keep it that way maybe? :)

Solar Winds by bkelly 2021-04-30T15:04:53Z

Whoa, never seen a game utilize my phone like that, super idea. Well done!

Dropdown by Alexio Games 2021-05-07T13:54:44Z

Cute! The increase in difficulty is really sudden, it might be better to make it more gradual. I couldn't seem to survive more than a few seconds after it sped up. It did make me laugh when it got faster though, so if that's what you were going for keep it that way? :)

It also seemed like a I would get blocks on the same column over and over for too long, so maybe there could be a way to mix that up more!

Cool! Good fun, would have loved it with sound as well!
