The graphics and music in your game are really nice! I played trough it twice, one time trying to avoid the fish and one time hitting them. I didn't really notice any consequence for hitting fish, other than the hit effect (which I liked) and the number at the end of the game going up. I would have liked there to be some effect on the game itself, like adding damage to the ship.
The advantage to having no negative effects, is that it's a really relaxed game, especially with the music!

Very cool! We actually made pretty similar games - yours has the cooler art style though. :) The music was great too!

I enjoyed slamming some fish! Nice!
Fun little game, really enjoyed the mood it had from the art and audio. The constant stream of bubbles was the best.
Fits the theme nicely, but couldn't see that there was any consequence for hitting fish, or any way to judge success/failure. Good job on the game

I wasn't really sure if the goal was to hit the fish or avoid the fish. The first time I played I tried to avoid them all but then the second time I tried to hit them all and it didn't seem to make a difference. Also, it felt like the sub was just staying still vertically and just moving left and right, maybe adding a background image scrolling upwards or having the things the flowers and particles moving upwards would have made it feel more like you were moving downward.

This is such a cute game! The colors and layers make it feel really immersive (especially in a dark room with full screen). It was surprisingly difficult too! Neat little concept and clean execution.

Ah, fun to see multiple takes on almost the same concept (I saw your comment on @fargred's similar game). Well done!
Is the background supposed to change colors and textures suddenly? With all the colorful fish, it made for a very trippy experience :)
@ditam haha yeah! I tried to animate the camera background color with less than 10 minutes to go but it caused major performance issues so I just left the sudden changes.
Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to try the game and say something nice!
Sweet game mate. I loved the work you put into the art and effects in the game. That and the cool audio made the game juicy. I consider myself a god gamer with 22 fish collisions on my first playthrough 😎
You made a cool job with camera) so fun to push fish!
I really liked the graphic style! Don`t know if it was intentional or not, but it definitely worked! LOL I just wish the sub was a liiiiittle fasterrr, and I couldn`t reach the further left side of the screen to HITTT those pesky lefty fish! EHAEHAHEHAEHAHEAH
I got 18 fish by the way! LOL EHAHEAHEHAEHAHEAHEH
Nice visual style, the music on top if it really sets the atmoshpere. Very relaxing!

Definitely hitting the fish.
Creative enjoyable entry. Art style is distinctive, music fits and is always appreciated in Compos.
Wow, I don't think I've encountered a game this jam with as unique of an aesthetic as this. Very trippy and weird, I love it! I wasn't really sure what the purpose of the actual gameplay was, but as an interactive art project I think it works, though it was over quite quickly.
Minor aesthetic nitpick: if you have background objects that stay at the same height as the player, it seems like the enemy fish are flying up past the player, and not like the player is actually descending. Making the background seaweed and starfish move upwards would have created the illusion of actually going "deeper and deeper".
Bad bad fishy! You deserve to be slapped hard with a submarine! All 33 of you!
Only minor gripe: that the sub cannot move to the borders of the screen, which makes some fish totally impossible to hit.
I have to go now, more :fish: to  !

I managed 34 fish collisions, is that a lot?
I liked the aesthetics and the music here, if this was an endless game with a couple more interactable things in it that could certainly be a very relaxing experience.

Wait I was trying to avoid the fish. Lol. Got 3. Thanks for sharing!
This had some great mood setting with the strange visuals and the sort of dreamlike music. I played it in the "avoidance" mode and it was very relaxing. If only the end hadn't come so soon :)
This is a simple atmospheric little game. I like it. The music was very nice, and the background effects transitioning deeper and deeper was pretty unique. Nice work.
A very solid compo in assets. However only the graphics are great indeed. The programming for the background changing was OK, very standard. Need a lot of work in Game Design and need a spirit. I think it is the most elevator game in LD48.
Nice game! Avoiding all the fish is easy, but hitting them all is really hard! I never managed to do it, always missed a few of them
