I really liked the atmosphere until one of the music tracks turned down a techno alley. Other than that it has strong gameboy vibes and solid graphics.

Really nice! The graphics are simple but clean, the music is great, the sound effects adequate, the compass and glowy lights are really well executed. The gameplay seemed really simple until the meter filled up, and then I died consistently XD. Nice submission!
I had a problem with the enemies moving too fast, so once they saw me they wouldn't stop attacking. I like the idea and the execution of the footsteps, almost like a 2D version of the game Perception.
GODDAMN MOLES! I hate them! Jumpscaring me like this... Almost had a cardiac arrest, haha! :D Thanks, I had fun!
This was really impressive, great job!
The constant chattering and scraping sound effects and the lighting effects really gave it a creepy and tense vibe. This game also taught me true fear when that bar filled all the way.
After playing a few times, it seemed the best strategy was to run all the time instead of walking or sneaking, as you can easily outrun the moles. (I'm not sure if the rampage bar fills up faster when you run but that might be a good way to balance that out if that isn't already the case)
Procedural generated levels worked great and the AI seemed to fit into it nicely. I think some structured levels would have been nice as it seems you can avoid the stealth mechanic and just yolo run to the exit since the monsters can not catch you. Nice concept and execution.
Really cool idea! I really liked the trade offs with choosing to be fast or sneaky. The enemies may be a little fast however, and I once spawned right on top of a mole! The sound and visuals were super polished though.
great job overall!
Nice game. only thing I would say is under the theme for itch maybe change the background to a darker color so the game window blend into the background better. All in all, an excellent game.
Really fun game! I loved the perception mechanic of the AI
I think the concept for this game is great and the visual implementation of being able to see your footsteps is great! It's a smidge frustrating though to have enemies walk into when you've just started a level and haven't even take a step yet. So maybe the AI could be initially "avoiding" the player until they've made their first step. I think this would make the game feel a whole lot more fair to the player.
As those above me stated, there is a great concept there, and I would love to play fuller version of that game.
I liked the game boy classic's colour pallet tho :)
Very well made. I wonder how difficult it was to make the moles behave propertly. Sounds are pretty good. Only problem I have is that it's kinda hard, and I have no clue how to make the moles stop following you, but it's probably me being dumb.
Really neat game, I like the graphics style and the mechanic of showing the noise of the character's steps is very interesting. Avoided running on purpose many times since it made passing the levels a bit too easy for my taste (maybe because I found some parts to be very spacious, but I'm not complaining).
I also really loved the music and audio design, which made me love the overall atmosphere even more!
Same as few guys above said - you can easily outrun moles so it would be nice to balance it somehow. Plus I also once spawned on top of moles. Anyway gameplay, graphics and audio is really nice. One of the most polished games that I saw so far.
Great concept !
Pretty fun! I died a few times, but enjoyed playing your game
I like how the expanding/contracting circle around the player indicating footsteps is also used for visibility. Game looks great and sounds great, if only I'm better at it. Are those moles? Some of them moved so fast after they noticed me, I couldn't run away fast enough.
The soundtrack is a bit weird. But nice job creating procedurally generated stuff!
What a cool game! Loved the monochromatic art style, and the art is very well made. The concept was also super fun. Stealthing around was just as fun as trying to outrun hordes of spooky monsters. I liked the music and SFX. Overall, a complete game and impressive that it was done in 48 hours. Keep it up :)
cool game! the proc gen was well done considering the time constraints, i never had an impossible level or anything like that. the sound was cool, especially the music. it created a nice atmosphere. the lighting effect was neat as well, very pretty. there was some minor bugs like the super tiny main menu, and i couldn't figure out how to full screen the game (i just zoomed in my web browser), but nothing game breaking. i tried sneaking around but it seemed pretty underpowered compared to just running. well done!
Nice idea! I liked the game's aesthetics and the execution of procedural levels.
This game is such a great combination of music, art, and design. Procedurally generated levels were a nice touch, especially for a game jam, and the enemies were scary! The controls were somewhat unresponsive, which made dodging the fast moles more difficult than necessary, but the overall feel of the game is solid! Well done!
