Maybe that's just me but some levels were way too hard on keyboard. I think walk button would be helpful. Anyway I liked everything else about your game!
Pretty simple and fun concept. I also liked that after every guest lost your game is changing a little bit.
I also have to say that this game is really relaxing and chill. I spent around 10 minutes enjoying really nice music theme while trying to keep my plants alive!
I spent like 2-3 minutes to find out how to check every patient's card before first decision. That would be nice feature!
Collecting recipes would be good idea, also adding some kind of win statement or anything. Anyway I had fun discovering new recipes!
This game really feels like something that you worked for some time! Graphics are cute and music just fits perfectly to it! I had fun while trying it out!
That's a shame you didn't finished this, I really wanted to check it out after making my own game! To be honest I was inspired (well, I almost ripped off your whole character into my game) while creating my character. Sorry for that! Anyway I hope you'll end this and post your game later!
I have to say that I was surprised when "boss" appeared! Anyway amazing graphics!
In general nice concept but... Buggy and unbalanced. After every game you have to refresh page, otherwise inventory is bugged like crazy. Also building's inventory is covers your inventory so it's a little harder to take items.
Thanks for your comments!
@doodlebrisk I wanted to make it a little hard by having one longer dead end, anyway this game is pretty buggy, especially with my pathfinding script (slimes can stack in one place making it impossible to make it to the end).
@huthuthunter I'm also glad with my pixel art, tbh that was one of funniest part of making this game!
@ja-viera you can win by using every well (four), also I spent too much time changing my concept and left numbers (player speed etc.) as it was.
@timetravelhamster z-oder is my next goal, but thanks for suggestion!
And everyone else - thanks for playing!
@gwandalf when I started working on slimes I checked time and it was already pretty late in my country (and also that was last day of jam) so I decided to use someone else's script. Well, it ended as you saw, but next time I'll try to do pathfinding by myself. Thanks for your feedback!
Liked panel with patients and diseases, but when there was no patients it felt kinda empty. You could let players read diseases book while waiting for more patients to learn them better. Anyway I enjoyed it!
Graphics and audio fits perfectly, I would love to see randomly generated levels! As someone said you could publish this game on google play. Just add some kind of shop with skins that are affordable for carrots or something like that!
After first gameplay I thought there are two endings and I can skip hunting every 2 days. That's shame that it have no audio it would be really moody story. Well, enjoyed it anyway!
As everyone said - dragging objects is kinda ugh. Also you could show a little arrow in the corner of screen when bugs are coming to let player prepare (especially with this dragging mechanic). Enjoyed it anyway!
I have to agree that graphics are amazing! Also I liked audio, I think it really fits your game. But physics and controlling character feels kinda awkard.
First thought that came to my mind was "hey, it's like this board game called Clue!". Not gonna lie, that was interesting use of theme, also nice atmosphere created with simple graphics and audio. I enjoyed it and it really seems like 100% finished little game.
I enjoyed your game but as people above said it gets quickly repetitive. I think some kind of shop with upgrades or more types of enemies(maybe boss fight?) would help. But I think that's a good foundation for more advanced game, I also enjoyed graphics and sound - it really helped creating atmosphere of exploring some old bunker!
I was a bit confused at the beginning but whole concept sounds really interesting. I would really like to check this project while it's done, are you planning to continue working on it?
PS: I think that's one of the coolest use of theme so far!
@robochase6000 just remember to update your itch.io site, I'll probably check in a while if you did any progress because I got actually interested in your idea. Well, good luck!
Both audio and graphics creates mysterious mood, not gonna lie I liked it. Unfortunately I run out of oxygen while carrying body of dead diver so I didn't reached the ending and it was kinda too long for me to replay whole game. I think adding checkpoints (like after finding a rope or body) would be good idea. Anyway I enjoyed it and would play something like that but more polished with some deeper story.
I love the concept, autobattlers are my thing, but I wish it was kinda harder or there was more types of enemies. I didn't lost a single unit through whole game. Also final boss was way too easy, he attack me like 2 times before dying. But I think if you decide to develop it further it would become a really nice game.
I really enjoy games where you don't have to give orders to your "minions" and they just live by themself, but I think you could tweak some things to make it harder(like guy above me said) or maybe even add another anthill and you have to defeat it. Anyway I think it's worth your few minutes.
Well, that's exactly this kind of game that I want to play on my phone in bed before going to sleep or just whenever I'm bored. I'm fun of puzzle games like 2048 or tetris and this one would just perfectly match my android games library. Hope you'll make android port! And so far one my favourite games from LD48!
Edit: 584 points so far, I'm coming for that top 10 lol
Damn, graphics looks great. The only thing that I think may look better is animations, I think you should try making some skeletal animations for diver. Anyway game was quite enjoyable I wish there was some more things to do(maybe you could hunt enemies?). But I can say for sure that's one of best looking games so far.
I think there should be something that would make player to feel like he's going deeper and deeper, maybe everything should get darker. Also adding something like these "piles" of rock/dirt chasing player may make game a bit more exciting and harder. Anyway simple concept that's quite enjoyable. And upgrades (and these always makes games more fun lol)
Another creative use of LD theme - I like it! Anyway game feels like it's polished and 100% finished, great job! Unfortunately I don't have LinkedIn account so I stopped playing it. Maybe tomorrow(it's already past 1 am here) I'll try to finish it. Anyway I enjoyed it so far, so once again - good job!
Nice concept, it would definitely make quite interesting game once finished and polished. Bugs and not clear controls are kinda issue right now, for example whenever I cancelled 2nd attack in one turn I couldn't use it later, also sometimes I couldn't select right circles while defending. Anyway I think you should try to fix some bugs and polish it!
@lord-blackheart gems were supposed to be spent at shop which unfortunately didn't make it into game. well, whole game was supposed to be a roguelike, but as you can see I had a little to big expectations. tbh I thought about starting new project or remaking this one because my code is a big mess (seriously, it's really bad). also I'm not quite satisfied with map generator and I would like to rewrite it. thanks for your opinion!
@wastedsince99 you can actually dig while jumping (that was actually unintended but I decided to keep it). Anyway I wanted to make player keep going deeper, but at some point I assumed that I won't finish my game so I'll just focus on some parts that I want to practice. that's why goblins are not a big deal, I wrote some really basic AI script for them. as I said earlier there was a plan to make some goal in game but at some point I thought that I'll leave it as it is. thanks for your opinion!
@sabomball there's a bug where you are unable to move when half of your character stand on block and the other doesn't and then you try to mine down. to fix it you have to attack left or right. thanks for your opinion!
and if I'm not mistaken all of you made same game which I quite enjoyed, so keep it up and see you guys at next LD!
I didn't thought that games that focus on story would be that interesting this jam. Even though your story is rather simple whole atmosphere did great job and overall I enjoyed it. I think I only encouraged small bugs with footsteps(I didn't heard them like 2 times) but otherwise game looks rather polished and fun to play, good job!
Same as few guys above said - you can easily outrun moles so it would be nice to balance it somehow. Plus I also once spawned on top of moles. Anyway gameplay, graphics and audio is really nice. One of the most polished games that I saw so far.
wow, that was definitely something. To be honest I didn't expected to play something like that. And as far as I'm not really a fan of walking simulators I can say that it got my attention, maybe because of how emotional it was. Anyway great job!
^same also remember to add thumbnail, otherwise you won't be able to set it public.
Graphics are definitely nice, but from what I see there's nothing more than 2 room layouts and you did only basic mechanics. I think monsters should deal damage to you otherwise you can just body block them and you can also spam LMB to quickly kill them. I think if you have focused a little bit more on gameplay it would be more enjoyable and would feel more like finished game.
I wish there was a little bit more content, maybe some kind of shop where you can buy better hammers etc. Even though your pixelart is quite simple I think it suits such a simple game. Also enjoyed music. The only problem I have is brewing potions, I tried to mix different zombie parts 10-20 times but never got any potion. Anyway keep it up!
I think it's cool idea for minigame but as @sadsmile said some QoL changes would be great. maybe add colorful background for each ingredient that tells you if you have enough of it. Also I think after completing game there should be player's score based on ingredients. anyway fun enough to spend few minutes playing this!
As someone above me said - bug fixes and some polish and this game may be really enjoyable. Anyway nice concept, I quite enjoyed it!
Simple yet fun to play. Played android version and I didn't encountered any bugs, anyway I'll keep your game on my phone and play it while I'm bored, good job!
This breakable terrain feels so good to destroy, but I wish moving was more responsive because player sometimes move even though you're not pressing anything. Also fighting could be a bit more interesting (maybe add some boss fights after reaching certain "floor"). Even though it was rather simple I enjoyed it!
