I like the concept even though game is kinda buggy (sometimes it's too hard to put soldier into bed or you keep bandaging dead soldiers). I would play it as full game!

Placing the fallen soldiers into the bed is a little buggy.
As the first one said, I like the concept, but it was a bit buggy, I ended up killing myself as the bullets just wouldn't hit the last soldier, some polish on this one could make it a great experience though, great job! Cheerz!
I really enjoyed playing Medic! It's an interesting idea and was executed well, the graphics were cute. My only issue is with the random bullets - I found myself waiting a long time for the last soldier to get shot each wave. Overall a really good game, well done!
Hey everyone,
I'm one of the devs of "Medic!" and I'm here to say that we managed to fixed the bug with the bed many of you encountered. We also made a few tweaks so that soldiers get killed faster.
Thank you for your feedback and I hope everybody can now "Medic!" even more!
Have a nice week,
Martin
Always great to see more Godot games! I reallt really liked the concept here. It's a pretty well executed time management game with neat premise. I like the fact that there are upgrades between levels a lot.
One thing I was unclear on was how levels/waves ended. When all soldiers were resolved, or when some time limit was reached? A Progress bar somewhere would clear that up. Another very minor minor issue was that pressing E while already bandaging a soldier would start the process over.
Overall a really fun and good entry!
Really cool and interesting premise. I think it's a bit weird that you need all your soldiers to get wounded to advance to the next wave which sometimes makes you root for them to get hit by bullets. Also one of my soldiers apparently turned into some sort of super hero at the, since he just wasn't bothered by bullets hitting him anymore. But expect for that instance it was really fun helping these little soldiers to get better and later mourning their deaths. The art looks also really cool and the upgrade mechanic is a nice added layer of complexity.
Great concept and it's execution was nice. The random bullets made things a little frustrating since you'd have to wait a long time until a soldier would get shot, but in your defence that's how things would have actually been in real life XD. Also, the size of the bullets was also a little too small. The pixel art was great though. Good game none the less :)
Love the take on the theme, keeping more than one it alive. Sort of gave me an Overcooked vibe with how you have to manage the beds! Edit: I also really liked how the bullets seemed to come in time with the music, whether on purpose or by accident. It created a really cool effect!
Congratulations for making this game ! The idea is very cool but the game is buggy: I was stucked in wave 3 because one of my soldier was invincible ^^ Fun anyway Great art but what the clap sounds are supposed to represent ?
one of my favourite games so far i did have a issue where on wave 2 when there where 2 soldiers left the collision wouldn't work for some reason love the art style as well.
Hi @matthewi, the clap sounds were my attempt at replicating a bullet shot sound, I didn't work out that well. I also don't like it very much, but we had the deadline looming and I just carried on... 😅
lots of potential with this one, the execution is just not QUITE there for me... hopefully you keep working on it and i see an update! :)
Good job. It is not easy to identity colliding objects and simple graphics. The concept is promising. Little more polish would be great. It would be even better to have an impact on the outcome of the combat.
It one of the prettier games for me. I didn't liked too much the bodyblock from the other soldiers, I there could have been more tuning on the timings, i never needed more than two beds, but maybe I'm just too slow. I found it funny how this army fought: running out in the open shooting a few bullet forward then running again a little until being shot and waiting to be saved. :) From the medics point of view this is exactly what war is :)
Top down games always hit a soft spot for me and this one played really well. So cool you also recorded your own voice(s). But what i like the most is that the game captures the idea that you have to choose which soldier you will save, just like i imagine will happen in a real combat situation. Well done!
Fun game! The entrance back from the battlefield is a little janky, I get caught sometimes. Interesting idea though.
How many brave Jameses had to bleed to death as I was stuck on the entrance to sick bay? How many times has pushed me one of the Jameses out of my cover just so they could get shout? Just how many James Ryans are there anyway?! ;) I very much enjoyed the stylish pixel art with a apt palette and the mechanics but soon just focused on the most promising victims. I wish it would be possible to have some kind of medic for my medic and to heal after every other wave or so, but maybe I am just too easy a target ;) Here's my latest stream featuring the game, by the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP012VKTPV8
