Cool concept ... Some colliders feel a bit too sensitive and the whole game starts to lag after a few rooms. Other than that it's fun to play and there is some cool music too. After a few minutes it feels repetitive because there are only 4 rooms or something like that.

Anyways ... keep it up.

Don't make people install small games. Window was a bit too big for a 720p screen. The portal graphics are the best thing about the game. The music is very repetitive and I feel that I've seen the gravity switching mechanic somewhere already. Collision boxes seem too big for some items and too small for others. Keep pushing, young dev.

Nice graphics, the gameplay was a bit too hard for me, but a bit of polishing could do the trick. keep up the good work! I'm sure, you'll be making something awesome one day

It's admirable that you're doing that so young, and I wish I'd done that when I was your age. Congrats! Now to the feedback: colliders are too big and some explanation on how to play could be useful. You can do that on the post itself, no need to make a tutorial. I didn't get past the first level, mostly because everytime I swapped gravity I went straight to the spikes, which had a huge hit box. Usually you want to make the colliders a bit smaller than the graphics, so the player never feels like he's being "cheated".

The graphics look cool and the music as well, although I didn't get to hear much of it because I was always dying and it was restarting :)

Great job!

hlavik 2017-05-10 12:13

Thanks for feedback. I just want to say , when you change a gravity, the jump cooldown will restart and you can do something like airjump again, that is the way to pass all types of levels

Nice work :) a bit on the hard side. Next time please don't make an installer, most people prefer just having a zip file. Good job

szczebel1995 2017-05-10 12:54

That's pretty nice game! the only think that could be changed is make platforms more visible and fix colliders here and there, but other than that it's pretty nice. Great job!

First of all I'd like to say that It's a great little game. The graphics are nice, but I'm not a big fan of the gameplay. The idea is good, but it has a bit too many issues to be entertaining for me. Nice job though, good luck in the future! :)

Hey, man, i love the art!!! 5 stars!

jeb 2017-05-10 16:07

Really nice work on the graphics, you might want to look over the character control again though as jumping feels a little weird(maybe a bit short ?). Overall I think you did well with this game and should keep it up! :)

****What I Liked:****

* The graphics were good! * The mechanic was fun. * The physics all felt really good.

****Minor Nitpicks:****

* When you go through the portal at the end, you end up at the beginning of the next level while still in the air. This can often make levels feel impossible.

****Great job and thanks!****

Good looking game with an interesting core concept! Found that I had a few problems with hitboxes on the hazards and because i'm playing with the keyboard, it would be really good to be able to restart with the keyboard when I die.

Well done, thanks a lot for sharing!

I couldn't pass level 2. It's hard to break out when a level lasts for 2 seconds, and then you have to take the mouse and click start. Mechanics are fun, the music is cheerful.

arch-a-type 2017-05-10 23:24

Interesting concept. I liked the mechanics, switching gravity can be fun. I would personally recommend that you don't allow the player to stop so it adds a bit to difficulty, but this is just a personal preference. The only problem I had was that I kept dying when I spawned in rooms with the lava pit or the risen spikes. It felt like I didn't have enough time to jump.

Nice game though. :)

Great concept and entry. Having to switch between the mouse and keyboard on death kept me from enjoying this at the pace I wanted to. It was a tad difficult for me, but the levels I was able to pass all required the same technique.

Loved the art and music, thanks!

jk5000 2017-05-11 06:50

The idea and game mechanics is fine. The graphics is simple and fun. The musics is good and it fits the game well. The level design is okay, but some of the levels are too difficult. Overall a fine LD game. Well done.

Cool idea, nice take on the theme. Good graphics. Levels are pretty unforgiving and because there are some hitbox problems and sometimes the controls are wacky it can be frustrating. Great job overall, keep at it.

pascalman 2017-05-13 09:03

I'm don't have Windows but game looks great. Good job!

jakob-willforss 2017-05-13 10:24

Nice visuals!! I like the portals. The overall feel of it is nice too. I was a bit put off by the insta-death-restart cycle which I ended up going through repeatedly. Some ideas would be to:

- Avoid using installers for small games like this, so that we can get started immediately and don't have to later uninstall - Keep music running after death, at least for me, I died very early very fast, making the music cut off over and over again - Make game a bit more forgiving, hard restart makes you sad after a few times - Make sure hit boxes are rather too small than too big. It felt like invisible boxes repeatedly killed me.

I think it looks very promising, and is a nice idea. I hope you'll continue building on it :)

The graphics, the animations by a 14yo! Omg, that's something! Keep up the good work, sir!

The stop button (left arrow) seems unusable.

I would appreciate:

* A tutorial saying me what to do. * Non-randomly chosen levels, so I can walk through them and actually finish the game. * More contrast between the crates and the background. * Restart button by the keyboard, so I don't have to move my hand to mouse after death.

Thanks for sharing!

Good concept, good visuals, you got that covered :) Mechanics are simple, but the whole idea has a good concept behind it.

I generally have one 'but': it would be great if you could give player some time to get used to controls. Some non-random levels in the beginning for example. The problem is, that when you don't know what the next level will be, and you have less than second to react to the new layout, it gets really difficult.

With less steep learning curve players would be ready for situation where you exit the portal and start falling towards insta-death spikes or lava instantly. For a beginner, it's impossible to react properly, and there's really no time to even take a look at what killed you.

With that improvement it would be really more welcoming for newcomers, and longer playthroughs would be a given. You worked hard, so letting players properly enjoy your game would be beneficil on both sides.

And hey, it's a good job overall. And it's great you entered LD and shared your project with us - just cut us some slack, we're not as good as you hoped :D

Cheers and stay awesome!
