A Windows binary would be cool.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Dragon's Life

A Windows binary would be cool.
I couldn't always tell what was going on in this. I was stuck on tutorial 2 for a while after the red farmhouse disappeared, and fields and sheep just kept appearing and disappearing, and I just kept eating sheep.
Second time round, I burnt the farm and that let me past the tutorial.
On the level after, I burnt the farm and didn't get any money, then later I died from "wounds" — but I didn't know I'd been sustaining any wounds?
I liked the audio — good job with the voiceover and sheep noises! Music was lovely too. The UI could use some work, to make it clearer what's happening!
Would like to play your game but there is no Windows version :(
Rogual: Figuring out what's going on is the challenge... if you do nothing on your turn (click on anything except a "target"), you'll observe how the humans behave. Torch the farm and you'll have no food - bad move. Let the farmer grow his crops, and sell it to the town, and get rich, then...
I humbly apologize to the windows/linux crowd - this was a trial in learning Swift 2.0 and sprite kit which is mac / ios only. If you've got an iPad/iPhone I'll make a port to that soon.
I truly enjoyed the dragon graphics and the voice acting, it was difficult to figure out what to do, and the music level was a little bit higher than the voice so I couldn't hear instruction so well. Would love to see this game again after more instruction!
Some instructions I didn't get time to put in the tutorial: Click anywhere on an empty field to spend a turn just resting in your lair. It will heal your health. But you'll still consume food (sheep). Don't burn the last farm, or you'll run out of food!
It's all about balance - destroy them, and the economy, and they won't be able to provide you gold to hoard.
I'm working on extending the game and gameplay, I suppose I can't release it until the voting etc is over though.
Fun balance game! Like the potential conflicts there. Really needed more detailed explanation in-game though :) (ludum dare is not a good place to slowly 'show' mechanics)
Would have loved for the last level to have a 'target' (x gold?) too.
A well made game, the mechanics are really interesting, although it gets a bit tedious because the humans rebuild so quickly :(
Wow, I loved this one!
The good:
-The sound! You're crazily talented!
-The depth! There's a lot of gameplay in there.
The bad:
-It's very hard to get all the intricacies of the gameplay. In a Ludum Dare, some more explanation would really help people appreciate your game better.
The ugly:
-The knight that decided to kill me. Damn you, knight!
Very nice project guys, i really love it, please check our game too and if you liked it give us a vote. Look for Road to hell and enjoy.
Mac version seems a bit buggy - jumping from Turn 1 to Turn 12 or 16 sometimes. I like the turn based idea but it seems tricky to find the right strategy. Good sound though.
