I enjoyed this little throw back. :)
Thanks for the feedback. I've switched the OSX and the WIN links. I guess I got too excited when submitting. I plan on giving this game a little more TLC. There were suppose to be 3 color types. Red green and blue, but I attempted to do the game with as little text as possible so green was dropped. I also didn't realize the red cards would come off as "Enemy" cards vs attack cards. And the AI is terrible because it was the last thing I did before time ran out. Making notes now. :)
I love the music just stopping when you win. I've refreshed this game a bunch of times just to chase the rabbit around!
Very cute. :)
Those creepy death smiles... :D
I really really love this game. I want to see where you take it next. I kinda want to be able to move multiple characters up until there isn't any time left, then quickly select attack. That way move actually does something useful. :D
I was wondering why you didn't use Unity... then I got to the next to last land... -_-
This is a GREAT game. I was expecting the monster to rap while he was running, though. :D
This turned out great. Really keep at it, I want to see where it goes!
Very very cool concept. :)
This game is great! I kept hearing the master speak in James Avery's voice every time he spoke. I want more from these characters! Well... the remaining ones.
There should've been a more narrow path towards getting that first skull. Not realizing there was a level up mechanic I was tempted to quit out of the game without seeing it through. I'm glad I saw it through though. I enjoyed this game.
That was awesome!
So simple... but that music is off the charts! :D
I wanted more levels :(
Squish! Squish! :D That sound was more disturbing than the sight.
Super Awesome!
This game is brilliant beyond words. :)
I had trouble getting the blocks to pull out properly. Interesting concept though. Loved the graphics.
Why isn't this a full game!? :D
45/45 and 5/5... I think I nailed it :D
This game was awesome. The music had me laughing the entire time I played.
I love the way the audio comes together for this. I think if I get the right rhythm going I can last longer than 12 seconds.
Holy crap that's a lot funnier to me than it should be!
Seeing the warning I was afraid it was gonna hit me rough in the feels. Fortunately, it was a great feeling I got at the end of the game. That was very cool.
OMG YES! This game is so much fun!
I really like the waves aspect of this game. And the bard between levels is hilarious!
I haven't successfully thrown a single villager in that mouth. :( I love this game so much, I just wanna see how it's possible.
I'm impressed with what you did in such a limited time!
I like the general idea behind it. I'm sure a great game can be pulled out of this.
I was trying to get 7 in one stroke... got 8! And died seconds after as I was trying to get a screenshot. :D
I love this game and wanted so much more from it. :D
A suggestion would've been. Use wasd. W-Jump S-Scare A-Left D-Right... And then let me use the spacebar to speed up the boss's slow talking. Maybe shift so that I run faster. Other than that... the game was really fun. :)
The narration needed subtitles. I could barely make out what the guy was saying on my crappy pc speakers. I loved the fact that voice acting was used. If only the theme didn't spoil it. :(
I updated by putting the data folder in the windows zip. Should work now. Getting the hit detection just right was a problem, I see it needs a little more work. I was able to dodge a few enemies by turning at just the right moment, so I made the game less forgiving. I guess that worked against me.
Also, the difficulty ramp needs a LOT of tweaking, I'm working on this game still and I'll provide another link post voting.
It's not only the animation. It's also when the character wakes up, if the mouse is hovering over a character, the click doesn't always register the ground. That has been fixed along with a few other bugs for the post voting release. I'm rather upset that everyone else managed to get higher scores than me. :)
YES! This game was graphically fantastic! I loved so much about how this game played and sounded. It took me a bit to get use to the speed but, I really really enjoyed it!
"This has to be the best song that is under 7 seconds long." I came here to say almost exactly that! I love the physics in this game I hope that was intentional.
I swear that kid is made out of butter.
This game is beyond cute! :D
Thank you @JaviCepa I got stuck on that third screen and thought it was a glitch in the game. Once I figured out that there was something I was missing I was able to finish. I love the game otherwise. Would like to have had more levels to play.
I made it all the way up to round 7. :D
I'm in LOVE with that soundtrack. :)
I enjoyed this game a lot. I especially loved the >:| face the entire time. :)
Saved 8 then got stuck on a wall. Game is fantastic though. :)
I VERY much so enjoyed playing. :)
If this game could have a 6 for humor... I'd do that...
I loved the entire concept. I got lost on how to make people go where I wanted to, so I ended up winning levels with no idea how I did it.
Loved this... absolutely loved this!
I have no idea where those lasers were gonna hit next. :( Once I got all the way to the end. I was glad. :D
Thanks all. I'm so tempted to make this work with a controller and two players.
This game is very fun, it was a tad bit unresponsive when I needed it to be. I feel like my win was cheapened by the fact that the guys blocks weren't appearing as fast as mine were. Other than that I think this is a pretty rockin' game.
I really love this game!
Played this game without reading the instructions first, Somethings were very intuitive, so it didn't take me long to figure out that knocking the enemies off the edge was key. I was unable to figure out how to switch characters (I suddenly had the Soldier and couldn't replicate it)
Ideally when a bomb drops, you should be able to push it much like you can with the enemies, that way you don't feel helpless when the screen starts to fill up with them. That would also allow for you to use strategies to knock a bomb over, blow up an enemy, and then push them off while they're stunned/recovering. I also would like a little bit more feedback or understanding of what happens when you jump on an enemy. Do they have health? Does that weaken them? Should they be stunned?
Some of the platforming was a little difficult, I actually got stuck when a block fell in front of me (and I had to restart the entire level). I loved the torch mechanic, it implements a certain amount of urgency without a visible clock timer.
This was a nice short and sweet game. Had a little trouble firing ranged weapons at first, but I got use to the controls.
Very nice first entry, and welcome to Ludum Dare.
Unfortunately I didn't have a second player but wanted to try out the gameplay regardless. It was very difficult to figure out where I was aiming with the keyboard and mouse. Maybe auto aiming when you're pointed towards the other player and would have a clear line of sight. Or the player hilites in some obvious yet subtle way that indicates there is a clear line of sight.
Rapidly taping on the mouse sometimes the arrow would disappear a few inches away from the character.
Other than that I want to try again with a gamepad when I get a chance.
Unfortunately by the time I got the hang of the game it was over. I really liked the flipped portal mechanic as well as the manipulating the other side by moving the crates.
Thank goodness for the Windows build, I wanted to try this out and the Web GL build wasn't working.
Very short and beautiful, would've liked to have had more puzzles to play.
I really like the concept of trying to play two characters at once. I tried to imagine how gameplay would work for myself, and I believe you nailed it.
The controls seemed floaty sometimes, but that allowed for me to manipulate jumps a tad bit easier. Unfortunately though. The game was much too hard for me... I couldn't get past the second door. :(
I was excited to get into this game as soon as I saw the style. Unfortunately it crashes whenever I end the level (winning or losing).
Very simple, not quite sure what to do besides click on the robot and collect gears. Good job on your first Ludum Dare.
This game is too adorable! I tried playing alone and couldn't survive the first flower.
Not sure if she says more than "Swell" but she didn't complain about anything so I think I did a great job.... I mean the meat was cooked to perfection. :D
I really like this game and dedicated about an hour to make sure that I played it from beginning to end. I did notice that you didn't need all of the pieces to finish some of the puzzles and if the physics hit things just at the wrong movement, you could win or lose with the same exact layout. On my low end HP machine I would experience slight hiccups every now and then that would change the outcome, so I had to try the simulation multiple times to be sure.
I also really dug the music notes hitting as you placed a piece down or clicked.
After playing and realizing I was about to get sucked in, I quickly came back to tell you what an awesome job you've done. Glad I did after reading the comments I see I probably would've been playing for a very long time. Only thing I needed was a slight tutorial, I couldn't understand what I was doing and had to trial and error my way through building more.
Awesome job!
Cool game, I couldn't kill a T-Rex, no matter how hard I tried. (not a bug... I'm just terrible at this) :(
This is a very polished game. I love the graphics and gameplay. Every now and then a key would get stuck or the mouse button. Even with this, I made sure I played over and over again until I figured a way to survive.
This game is awesome. I love it. :D
@ajayajayaj Attempting to fix it, let me know if this works. It worked for the other person but they were on OSX and it ran too fast. I implemented your Delta Time suggestion so hopefully that was it.

Hello all, thanks again for the feedback. I've been working on this game while attempting to play the games of others.
I'd especially like to thank @ajayajayaj, for the DeltaTime fix.
@mitya1234 I wish I had saw the glitch/bug that happened. I am unable to replicate. If I can find it I'll try and fix it for future version.
@Skosnowich I'll keep your audio concerns in to consideration. I had a lot I was trying with the audio, I never paid attention to the levels. :(
@repstyle The issues you mentioned were fixed in a version left in the comments above. Unfortunately for me, the initial release didn't have any of the issues speed and vibrating on my three test machines. Also, because of your falling forever issue, I've added the "~" key to restart the game.
I've managed to get the sliding to stop, and if you're reading this and willing to play again, I've uploaded a new link for a WebGL version. Unless there's a show stopping glitch that needs to be fixed I won't update this game any more.

This ought to fix the sliding issue. I also attempted to fix the camera.

@teamBallShui I though that using Rigidbody2D would've sped up my time, because this is my first platformer in Unity. Man was I wrong. I spent so much time trying to get the slope working properly. I couldn't properly put in all the blocks. A good 25% of the game had to be cut due to time constraints, those half blocks were suppose to crumble when walked on but I told my team "NO! I can't DO anymore :`("
I'm with @MiniBobbo on this. I was really getting in to the groove of the game and reached the exit. I loved the art style as well as the basics in game play. I wish I would've understood the turning of the blocks while holding it. And I was expecting some cool secret with the first 4 blocks in the entry room.
Other than that, this is a pretty solid game.
I survived for 5.7 minutes. I really love the animation and gameplay style. I found myself waiting till the last second before dropping things... That didn't work out too well for me in the end. 158 would be suitors taken out though.
I loved the blend of the art style with the music and sound effects.
Took me quite a bit to realize what I was suppose to do (jump and switch).Unfortunately my memory was terrible and once the tutorial was done, I met my end almost instantly after... unless it was a flat road.
This was a great entry. Unfortunately I got really close to the end and got hit with three threats at once. :(
This was really cool, I just wish there were an indicator of where the beat is and how close I was to actually hitting it. I couldn't figure out how well I was doing so I skated around in a circle hopping ever few seconds.
I would love to see more added to this.
850 with a really really crappy mouse. I wish there were a way to play with keyboard. I'm not sure if the movement speed would've worked out better for me that way.
OMG! This game is so cute!
I made it to around 38.something the game would lag and I would shoot off of the platform I was aiming for.
Played it over and over again until I was able to get everything. I had the hardest time with the toast.
Had trouble seeing the game at first, tried a different browser, that worked. I enjoyed how short and sweet the game was, it just needed more levels. Also, to add a little more of a "challenge", I would've put in a timer, so that the next time I played the level, I not only have to remember what I did to complete it, I have to beat my last time(since the number of moves will eventually hit a wall)
I managed to get 204 knockouts in 292 seconds. It was too easy at first then a second dude was dropped in. The challenge was amplified but not enough... I needed a third guy to come in. Or so I though. I made one quick miscalculation and was knocked off the platform.
I think the computers needed to be dropped more randomly around the level. They kept getting dropped right near the edge allowing me to combo people off of the level. I also agree with @cxsquared throw some power ups in there to get the player to move around more.
After about 7 or 8 attempts I made it to level 6. I couldn't figure out how to beat the shields. I had a little trouble with the controls and resorted to just moving backwards till enemies died. Trying to slash and move always resulted in me going handle first into enemies. I wish there were a better way to recover health than wasting my upgrade. :(
This was fun. Needed more levels. I very much so enjoyed what I played.
I was really really enjoying this until I got stuck. I somehow wedged myself between the cleaning supply and couldn't leave. 9/30 molecules web version (since I'm on OSX)
I love this game. Had a good time playing once I figured out the black walls. I really liked the fact that you were given unnecessary pieces, that forced me to have to figure out it out instead of brute forcing the levels.
Once you get the hang of the controls, this game is a lot of fun. The opening scene was a tad bit confusing, wasn't sure if the game started already or it was just instructions. The game was a LOT of fun, and I could see it being more fun with additional players (possibly ai?)
That was a lot of fun. I started to get frustrated with the puzzles, but once I relaxed they were quite simple. I love the concept and mechanic and all for this game. :D
No matter how hard I tried. I became too trendy. :-\
Woah, this game was very very well put together. I got all the way to I believe the final boss, and I got stuck in the wall.
127 kills wave 16. Besides sound, my only complaint is that it needs a variety of enemies and possibly attacks.
I found myself waiting for the enemies to turn into vampires before attacking (otherwise they would just dodge)... this strategy does NOT work... :D
I enjoyed the movement from shooting, had no idea what to do after first (Because I didn't read) and spent a good amount of time sitting in the corner shooting up left. Once I figured out the movement I couldn't figure out what to do next... so I flew around shooting everything that moved... or stood there too long... It was a lot of fun.
I tried toying around with the second hidden/unfinished prototype but I didn't know what to do after I switched the lever... so I went back to the other game and flew around shooting more.
I missed the part where it said "Once you switch rooms, the maze will be completely different." Unfortunately, that makes level layout pointless because, someone can just spam the spacebar to go in the direction they wanted to go in.
I think if you limited it to 2 or 3 randomly generated worlds at the start and toggle between the three, it could make interesting puzzles.
Also, a very simple set of enemies moving around to make it a bit challenging.
I like this game. :D
This game was incredible! Nice work on it!
This game is absolutely too adorable!
Hey all, thanks for the feedback! Next time I will take controls into different considerations. While trying to avoid the repeated tapping to move and having a smooth jump loop, I ended up with a lot of false positives.
I unfortunately got stuck on green. I enjoyed having to figure out the other few colors though.
This game was cool when I first played it, then I read the description and completely understand what was going on... the game became awesome after that! :)
Woah this was awesome. I wish I had a group of people to play this with. Very tight entry.
I love this game! I played it a few times just to get a better feel for the game, I still wasn't able to get a proper rhythm going, and the game would seem to abruptly end (because my meter was empty). Just a small suggestion to help would be to have the lizard's expression change as the game is about to end, because that's where my eyes are focused.
WOW! I really really love this game. Unfortunately I'm on OSX so I can't play the post Jam version right now. Going to try it later on. Needs multiplayer!
I definitely like this one, I stuck it through until level 15. I wanted to make sure I got all of the upgrades.
I REFUSED to stop playing until I got the A+. This game was awesome fun. :) Took me a long time to figure out what to do with the tissues... The 14 year old in me thought they went under the bed. :(
This game was a lot of fun! It took me 3 attempts to get all 5 lamps. At first I was upset that I couldn't regain health. In the end that only made me try harder. Solid Entry. :D
59 days... I have to stop because I have to go to real work in the morning. :(
This guy has a better bed than I do. :(
