Hi, nice game and congratulations ! cubeworld style :D We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.
Pretty solid little game. I like the look and the controls felt really responsive. Good job. :)

Congrats on your first entry! If you plan to keep working on this, I'd love to see more levels, and a life counter. Kill your opponent three times to win, or something along those lines.

awesome game! i played the game with sister and we played it like for half an hour. I wish you could collect weapons and power ups.
Maybe tweak the animations so he will not "float" around the floor.

i love the art style but i would loved more gameplay. Or some enemy ai. Maybe powerups and a bigger arena with destructable stuff. I see potential tho
Very nice walk animation!

@mato26 Wow it's nice to hear that! ^^ I was planning to work a bit more on this game and I guess I'll take into account what you said about the weapons and power-ups! Actually I've been struggling a bit with the control of the characters with the ramps and thus it made it a bit like that ("floating"), but I'll work to improve that! :)
Great first try! Small things like sound effects would add would add a lot

@Robert Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of the destructable parts, I'll take that into account! And a bigger arena is definitely on my todo list :)

Nice graphic style, and gameplay is solid. Collision are a bit clunky but other than that i have no serious complains. Of course you could expand this game and add more weapons, more levels etc.
Hey, welcome to Ludum Dare! :) Your game was good fun and it's always nice to see someone take a crack at 3D graphics. The game was simple and fun, although I found myself getting stuck on walls a lot. Freedom of movement is absolutely key in shooter games, so the only thing I'd change is the hitboxes to make it a bit smoother. Good job!

Great job! Graphics are nice and I like the arena!
somethings though:
I can't move if I'm touching any part of the arena, which is annoying when I'm trying to walk through the center, which is very narrow. A few times I managed to hit the other player with my arrow and they shook, but it didn't kill them.

Very nice first entry, and welcome to Ludum Dare.
Unfortunately I didn't have a second player but wanted to try out the gameplay regardless. It was very difficult to figure out where I was aiming with the keyboard and mouse. Maybe auto aiming when you're pointed towards the other player and would have a clear line of sight. Or the player hilites in some obvious yet subtle way that indicates there is a clear line of sight.
Rapidly taping on the mouse sometimes the arrow would disappear a few inches away from the character.
Other than that I want to try again with a gamepad when I get a chance.

SO CUTE! haha i've liked the art and thanks for sharing the tools i didn't knew about magicavoxel. But some upgrades on the arena could be done, like putting more space between the walls to get free motion in the environment without getting the player stucked between the objects.

Nice idea! As someone said, in a future version maybe you could could add some sort of currency or direct weapons drops, to improve the fighy system.
Also, the collisions with the enviroment make very difficult to move around the arena and shoot correctly. Being a small arena there are a lot of collisions and make it very difficult on that way.
And for sure playing with someone (I did it solo) would make it funnier and challenging. Good job!
Nice use of voxels. Was a bit boring to play alone and the map felt a bit little and wasn't so hard to find the opposition (perhaps some kind of LoS would've improved the gameplay?).

Played on my own :) A larger arena would be more fun but this one is very well done anyway! Thanks for this game and grats on your fisrt LD.
