Liking the tunes and backrops!

geckoo1337 2016-12-12 21:09

The web version doesn't work - there is a lag ++

themightyteam 2016-12-12 21:14

Hi there! It works better with Chrome/Chromium. With Firefox it is slooooow like lints with no wind (or rockets).

wolar 2016-12-13 22:09

Took me some time to understand what is going on and I had to read the description twice :D Also I had sometime trouble finding my lint on a screen. I like the sounds and interesting take on the theme. I also like that it's something different than the most of the games I have seen so far this LD.

simonhutchinson 2016-12-14 03:18

Whoa. I'm not sure what just happened, but I won. Awesome frenetic action.

Anything with a little Mozart as a backdrop will catch my fancy, though.

themightyteam 2016-12-14 21:18

@SimonHutchinson Yes, you are part of an ai-controlled team so you can win if your teammates have a good performance. Nevertheless you will have more chances if you help them.

Thanks for the frenetic action. That was totally intended ( a distinguishing mark of our game - check our games in previous LDs XD )

teamscripta 2016-12-14 21:48

I'm really impressed with the technologies that you used to create this!

andybrown 2016-12-14 22:21

Quite a unique entry! Definitely quite frantic, but easy to grasp once you get used to it. There was a bit of a contrast issue for me with the background and text though as the instructions would have been easier to read if the text had an outline or perhaps was a really light color.

stupidmindlessf 2016-12-15 21:54

this is very stupid and very fun - so just along my lines :-)
Didn't really get what I was supposed to do, but hey - shooty lints.
The webversion was unplayable for me because of lag - windows worked fine.

themightyteam 2016-12-15 21:56

Thanks @ursgames and @TeamScripta for your feedback. It was really a hard work and we have few time to polish the intro screens. We realized after the LD was over that the colours of the instructions should need more contrast.

peterthehe 2016-12-16 21:04

Really well executed. Lagged a bit though :(

frittatenbank 2016-12-17 09:30

Pretty laggy and confusing but it kinda works. The concept is pretty unique and I really like the Mozart background. Keep up the hard work!

themightyteam 2016-12-17 16:00

Hi there!

We have added a pair of improvements in the code and now it should work better (we still encourage using Chrome (https://arewefastyet.com/))

mrerdalural 2016-12-18 12:12

It was very hard to understand what is going on.

indrkl 2016-12-19 22:01

I feel like playing as the normal one is much more impactful compared to the weaponized lint. Other than that, cool entry.

diningphilosopher 2016-12-20 01:17

Unplayable for me on Chrome, way too chaotic and framerate varies wildly. Did not vote :-(

emmelineprufrock 2016-12-23 06:21

Definitely a unique experience and an interesting take on the theme. It was a touch hectic, but great work.

acotis 2016-12-26 00:54

Very cool! I really like the pretense here, that the lints are bored and are fighting just to occupy themselves :) I also liked the audio -- the "ringing" sound when a score is made is very satisfying, and the background beat was engaging but not distracting. I also liked the museum backdrop, especially how there were shadows of people -- that was a nice detail.

As for the gameplay itself, though, I found it to be quite laggy and even a little glitchy. The large lints would sometimes seem to disappear without reason. Also, I am not sure there is any difference between the weaponized lint and the regular lint...did the regular one have more health? I think perhaps weaponized lints should not have the ability to collide with big lints :P However, overall I thought the different "game pieces" were well constructed.
