Needs more work but it is a good concept nonetheless.

Needs more work but it is a good concept nonetheless.
Nice entry. Very impressive for a LD game.
Good attempt. Block games always rock.
The game improves with every screen. Well done!
Reached the end in the web version!
It was quite fun. I find the graphics really enjoyable.
The story inside the game is also a good point.
This game has many possibilities. Well done!. It is sometimes difficult to control the player with the pressure of time though.
I don't know if this is a bug but after a failed jump from the platform at the top, the human disappeared out of the screen.
I would give you a good rating just for making a Linux version (thank you), but the game is also fun.
Simple concept but difficult to master. Well done!
Nice game. It would be a good mobile game indeed. I personally would have played a bleat sound ("beeEEEeee") when the sheep jumps into the water.
er... I didn't got it :'(
A new approach to a classic game. Well done!.
Good one!. The classes are well balanced and the different levels increases playing time.
(I've played the post compo version)
Wow, the graphics are amazing.
I would add some shortcuts in the keyboard to select the gears (it was really difficult to drive, change the gear and dodge those nasty/adorable cats at the same time :) ).
Well done!
clever! I really liked it. Yes, maybe it is more an "experience" than a game, but I think it can be used as a resource for a game.
A bit short but graphics and music are of merit. I would want to see an extended version in the future.
Wow! It is well thought. Very neat and different concept for a puzzle game.
Liked the idea quite a lot!
I would add more variety of enemies and some power ups to increase the complexity of the strategy.
It is a good idea for LD and well executed!. Well done!
I need a tutorial for this game XD. Liked the multiplayer concept.
The art design and the idea are wise decisions.
Only needs a bit of refinement. I experienced the same issues you already mentioned in the description.
Good concept, though the game is a bit too short.
Very meritable entry!.
The sound/killing effects are really nice.
This is a premonition.
I think I will come back to this game after LD is over XD.
Fun game!
Cool game! The intro is really amazing.
nice game. The idea of the mini map saves it. Maybe you can turn it in a text based game...
It was quite meritable what you have done in such a short time.
Keep working with open source code!
20-25 FPS but the bee doesn't seem go fly smoothly (debian chromium core i5).
Wow, it took me a while to finish the game! (I peeked several times at the walkthrough). Liked so much the story and the alien topic.
Not working....
Cool scenarios, but the main character seems to be limping a bit.
Liked the graphics, the concept and the music really takes you to the action. The intro is amazing...
Cool concept. A real twisted innovation to a rpg!
I tried to shapeshift in a sword or elephant but these words were missing from the dictionary. But i think it was quite fun "the learning process" of finding the words that actually made something.
It doesn't work for me (iceweasel/firefox on Debian)
(clap) I hope you are better now.
Only Windows version? Couldn't test it
Simple concept. Good idea.
Nice game and innovative.
Fun but a bit too short. I would gladly play a bit more!
Liked the gb graphics.
Easy to start playing but difficult to master. Well done!
What, I am learning chemistry whilst I play!
The story also adds some points to me. XD
The biggest drawback i find are those nasty flashes.
I like this reinvented snake. Congrats!
Beautiful game.
The puzzles are really well designed but I've got stuck after i 've found the fourth glass filter. :)
Well done.
Simple and easy to play. Congrats for your first game!
Try adding some music to increase the effect.
The story was nice and it is well executed.
Loved the art design.
I am going to need a walkthrough to finish the game, I want to find where the cheese is XD !. Well done!
ERROR 403: FORBIDDEN
oops!
8bit games will live forever!. Good job and keep working.
The idea is ok, but more complexity is needed.
Nice audio and graphics. Congrats!
Very addictive!.
I missed a button to reload the game.
Sometimes the tortoise gets stuck in some parts and you have to wait till time runs out.
Only windows version? Couldn't test it.
Nice game. I like to see the pixels :) Maybe a little difficult from start.
I ve got stuck in the second level (I couldn't jump enough).
Liked the art design a lot and the general idea was ok!.
I would speed up the movement a little bit.
Fun game and concept.
Needs some refinement though. The fourth level is a bit difficult.
Addictive! Music and style are superb.
Hi there!
We have used 16x16 pixel tiles so the game window appear small. Try maximize on desktop or CTRL+ on your browser for a better experience.
And regarding the game speed and craziness... It's arcade time! Shot! go left so you reach the ring, transform into a trapezoid, shot your way home! SCORE!
Thanks Crefossus for your valuable feedback!
Of course, we will be working in it to polish code and gameplay.
We also plan to add a bit more complexity to the AI and many other details (new platforms) after Ludum dare is over. Stay tuned!
Nice and polished game.
I would add different platforms in future versions to maintain the tension (e.g. some rainbow looping :) ).
Good idea. A little info about the physics of te boomerang would be nice.
The tired cat pose was too much for me. Liked the idea. It is really challenging sometimes...
Hisss! I like the transformation. Sometimes the enemies appear from weird places... It's not fair :P
Seems easy but it's quite difficult! I like the boost sound
I like the cat animation. I would be nice if the cat could jump.
Nice game. I like the environment and the multiple cameras point of view. It works on Linux (Debian 8). Thanks for sharing your code. It would be interesting that you write a LICENSE file for it.
Nice game! I love the shader effect and the theme. Good work team! Have you open sourced the code?
I always liked puzzle games :)
Amazing Game, old style graphics and music are simply superb!.
Love it! Difficult to be innovative in this genre but this game is amazing. Well done.
Cool game! Very innovative. The separated tab gameplay is an interesting concept I have never seen before. Well done!
Great mood (I cannot see the humor anyway...). Great work with the game and cut scenes. Sometimes it is difficult to find any object (maybe you can highlight it?).
Liked the graphics but it is extremely difficult to play.
Nice game. The jar file also works on Linux, but the code does not compile (1. download code 2. chmod +x gradlew 3. ./gradlew desktop:run) the console says that "Couldn't load file: res/menu.png".
The game is fun. In one screen a snake was in the next square all the time. I couldn't get it away! Is fun to try to lock up snakes. Well done!
Finished 5 levels. I did not understand the freezing at the first time but after a few attempts i realized what i have to do. This is what made this game special at the end. Well done!
Nice, de-stressing minigame. It works in Linux (java -jar NinjaBoiBreakOut-v113.jar). It became less fun (and more de-stressing) when you realize that you can hold down the mouse instead of clicking. Thanks for sharing your code!
This game could improve a lot with sound. Liked the gameplay and the idea. Well done!
The concept is interesting but the difficulty should be better adjusted.
It is simple but addictive. The hidden view and the gold reward are good points.
Graphics and gameplay are really nice. I think music deserve 5-star ratings. Superb!
The graphics, music and gamplay are really nice!. It took me a while to figure what to do with the boxes. Well done!
ooops:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: org.lwjgl.system.SharedLibraryLoader.load(java.lang.String)
I have installed lwjgl (Debian testing)
I like it. Nice player movement. Its difficult when the wall people becomes a crowd. Maybe you can give us a grenade? :P
Not the best entertaining game ever but it is not that bad either. No reasons to be so hard on yourself. Doing this stuff in blender/gimp in one weekend is quite an achievement to me.
The game run smoothly in Chromium. Liked the story. A beatiful short tale for kids.
This game has a very addictive gameplay. Liked the idea a lot!!!
Simpler games are always the more addictive! well done! It would be interesting to have different power-ups (e.g. bombs) to improve gameplay.
Liked the idea a lot but the learning curve is too high. Probably with some script files added as an example would make the initial steps easier ;). The terminal is also a good point.
Fun but difficult to play.
At least you could say that you wrote it in ONE ROOM ho ho hooo! :P
Well developed story but i would have preferred a more friendly plot to tell you the truth. There was something scary from the beginning but the ending was really unexpected.
Of course i needed the keywrods
Liked the interactive fiction approach. Something different.
I ve got stuck with the bishop but liked the idea.
Liked the idea. It would have been easier to play in a laptop if you have added shortcut keys for some of the actions though.
The graphics are really nice. Hope you could finish it someday!
Amazing game!,I've never played something similar before. A 5 in innovation!
I like the improvements and the physic-aided beating.
Simple and addictive game. I would add different enemies to increase the replayability of the game.
Great game. I like the sprites and the procedural mazes work great. How did you make them? It works in Linux using Wine.
Great entry. It is nice to have two different keys for firing (I cannot use space and two arrows at the same time because of keyboard ghosting).
Interesting concept. Thanks for showing ML algorithms could be enjoyable... sometimes! XD
The idea is interesting. I am a Gauntlet fan and I find this game a good idea with some resemblance to this classic. Maybe a bit too hard from the very beginning. Incremental difficulty would make this game more interesting (i played on a laptop)
Liked the idea a lot. The levels show incremental difficulty. I ve died a lot of times but i continued till i finished the level. Pretty addictive!
Hi there! It works better with Chrome/Chromium. With Firefox it is slooooow like lints with no wind (or rockets).
@SimonHutchinson Yes, you are part of an ai-controlled team so you can win if your teammates have a good performance. Nevertheless you will have more chances if you help them.
Thanks for the frenetic action. That was totally intended ( a distinguishing mark of our game - check our games in previous LDs XD )
Thanks @ursgames and @TeamScripta for your feedback. It was really a hard work and we have few time to polish the intro screens. We realized after the LD was over that the colours of the instructions should need more contrast.
Hi there!
We have added a pair of improvements in the code and now it should work better (we still encourage using Chrome (https://arewefastyet.com/))
