I thought this game was really fun and interesting. It had me hooked! I would have liked to see more levels, but the creator made a note after the fact for the reasoning behind not being able to do so. Quite honestly, if the game had all 32 levels, it could be its own game just in that. The dialogue was a bit excessive, but once there are more levels, I think that would have balanced out comfortably. The story line itself did have me intrigued though. I wanted to know what happened to the character when he left the cave, which arguably could be a sequel to this game, if you added all 32 levels for the character to get through. Cool dinosaur for sure, and it actually surprised me and made me laugh when my little dude got bit in half! Overall: Pretty cool game with a lot of potential. I would have sat here and played all of the levels had there been more, and would have been pumped to see what was outside after escaping the madman in the wall. Props to the creator! I hope he/she wins so that I can see the rest of the game made in the future!
I like the art style but character moving too slow for me :D

I'm sorry, your game seems nice but I really don't like platformers, especially when you have to make a ton of difficult jumps all the time and failing makes you go back to the start.

Probably one of my favorite games so far... Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it because I hit one of the balls and glitched through the wall. Now I'm gone. ._.

Nice game! I think alot of effort was put into the storyline and presentation. I couldn't complete it though, I couldn't get past day 13. The professor dropped rubber ducks into the level, walked around but nothing happened.
Really enjoyed this!! Would have loved to have seen more levels -- one of the few games I've played so far where I went all the way to the end because I was so intrigued. Keep it up!

Very nice art style and animation! The walking animation is very funny, and the parallax effect was so smooth it made me a bit dizzy, haha. The dialogue was also very quirky!
Sometimes it was hard to see what the foreground was, and where I could jump on.
Well done!
It was a really interesting game ! I liked it (just missing sounds though ^^).
Dialogues were really smart, graphics are good, and the story is also nice, I enjoyed it ! Really good job.

Made it to the end. An LD game with a story, good job!

Hey nice game! Nice graphics and plot! The only thing I missed is music but the rest of the game is awesome! I enjoyed the room of the ducks specially.
Good job!

Whoaw, this is really impressive for Ludum Dare game. I got hooked pretty quickly and i was really interested how things are going to end (i mean the whole clone stuff was obvious but other than that it could go either way). Nice graphics and animations. Hope to see continuation of this game someday.

@djstjohn -Thanks- but its not really a contest to win or not- more just for fun. I plan on putting more time and polish into this and finishing it someday
@CMLSC Oh rats! I thought I fixed that! Im sorry! I know the previous two days take a bit to get through its not easy to jump back to where you were- Ill fix that for future versions. Do you remember where you glitched? Was it out the right / left / or out the bottom of the screen? Thanks for playing!
@xlambein- same for you- there is only one level of jumping in this if you can get past it :) But thanks for playing- sorry you didnt like the delivery
@Kazik_210 -I wish you could get past that- its not really about a platformer as much is it is a story. You do get to move faster towards the end tho... thanks for playing!
@jusw85 -He said he wanted to observe you playing with them :) All you had to do was wait out a timer- there is 60 seconds on the ducks, then he adds balls as well- 60 more seconds with those, then its onto the next day- thanks for playin!
@Stefanie899 Thanks so much! I really wanted to add more too but time didnt permit- I wanted sound fx and music too but ya know... haha I think I polished too much :) Bad habit. Im glad you enjoyed it- id love to finish it with more content some day.
@Drtizzle Thanks so much! Sorry for the confusion- I worried about that. I tried to discolor them enough to make it obvious they were behind you. Maybe I need to make it even more obvious. Glad you enjoyed it!
@Yami no tenshi I really appreciate it! I agree- It needs some audio! I will get there later on, but didnt have time for the Jam version. Thanks for the compliments and for playing
@mutuware Glad you enjoyed it! I think story was my main focus, and i made the game around it instead of making a story cram into a game- Glad you made it to the end :D
@Ouro17 Thanks so much! Music will come later! Glad you had fun playing with the ducks :D
@Zeriver I really appreciate your compliments- yea glad you got the clones, I ran out of time to explain a lot of what was in my head. Idea is he is a clone and when one dies he takes their memory and plops it in a fresh clone. Id love to finish the game some day- thanks for the motivation to do so!
Nice work! I got started and it's been a long time since I played story driven games with character text communication (back in the mid 90s was the last time =) so it was fun but I also became a bit impatient (but probably because I am a slow reader.) The progression and connection with the story was clever and gradual introduction of new tasks was kept to a good pace. I fell off the blocks for the first navigation part a few times but it was never too tedious to retry and I wanted to see what the next day would bring. The timed challenge was a nice touch as I reached the corner with 1 second to spare after some wrong moves.
I reached day 13 and as I was playing on the ducks I warped into the blocks (presumably physics pushed me past the collider.) I couldn't get out from the block and was not able to get past the bath balls as I was still stuck. I can imagine it takes quite some time to get the sentences and timing them with triggers as you progress in the game. Again, nice job!
Super solid platformer with a great story that keeps you hooked. Really fun and funny! I love the sadistic overseer! Add some more levels and sound and you got yourself a nice game. Good work!

Played to the end, would like to see more of that story
Story was pretty cool. I didn't see the plot twist coming. The art is really good. I love the way the old man looks. Gameplay could have been fleshed out a bit more but i had fun!
Has anyone ever told you your character walks funny :)
The characters and animation were really nice, and the platforming was solid. I was stressed when the timer appeared, but you'd obviously tested the levels as it was balanced pretty well.
What I enjoyed most was the story, it fits the theme really well and you managed to get across a lot of ideas with just 2 characters and a single room, very impressive
Really cool and had a good story backing it also.
Very good idea and art of the game is really very cool

The character is a bit slow, but I did enjoy this game !
The graphics are good, and I like this idea of a space training programm. Very fun !

At level 13 when bouncing balls my character suddenly disappeared there is no way to restart. It looks ok but i would use bigger font im little drunk and dont see those letters without concentration:P

I really liked the mood of the game, and overall it was pretty fun and interesting.
Also wanted to see more levels but, as everyone knows, time constraint means we end up cutting some stuff we'd like to put. You did have a backstory to help with that, and the way you pieced things together (the dialog in the gap between days, etc.) came out pretty nice! The kinda cliffhanger ending was nice too. :)
I really dig the art style, pretty well made, animations are also smooth, the game also feels pretty light and runs really smoothly.
Controls are pretty responsive and work nice and fast. I felt the character was too slow at the beginning, but as it is a test subject, and since I didn't know the "full" setting at the time, I kinda understood it might be some kinda plot device. :P
You always see tons of platformers everywhere, but I don't think it's a bad idea to reuse a genre, there's always space for one more, if you can give it a twist. :)
I kinda got stuck at the 3rd level and had to restart the game, but this is because I tried going to bed by returning in the same path I came from, instead of just jumping, which triggered the clock again. :P
Cheers, and thanks for playing mine too. :D

@Haddy22 I glitched in the right corner of the screen when the balls dropped.
Love the strange way the character walks! It's a good platformer I enjoyed playing, and the story is intriguing.
Good job!
Liked it, was intrigued the whole time by it. The physics needs a bit of working, the collisions were quite random.
Animation is cool, *really* needs audio though.

I finally had time to come back and finish this game. :P
Once he said I was the most important and the least important person at the same time, I figured out the story. :3
In the part with balls and ducks, I started bouncing them on my head. :D Another thing I noticed is that if I land on the balls in a certain spot, I can rid them and slide around. XD

I think it feels quite complete story-wise with the levels that's already there. The graphics are stylish, and having the overseer window in the background is a really nice touch. Maybe the physics could use some stability though :)
Platformers are always enjoyable. I praise you for the tutorial!. Liked the concept too. However, i think the cost for failing the jump the 2nd day is too big.
Day 3 is pretty excruciating. There was a bug where I had to restart day 3 after beating it. I like the concept!

Cool game and really nice graphics and dialog. I got stuck on Day 3 for a bit and had to do it a few times and I think some creepy ambient music and sound effects would have helped set the mood even more.

Loved the art style and level progression.
Pretty nice entry :)

oh! Nice and lovely! And it's also online! Can I find it on indiexpo? I'm making videos about the games of this Jam, but only about the games hosted also on indiexpo! Tell me if you will add it, so I can include it in my next video ;)
Nice idea, but getting back to bed every day is a chore, the blocks on the background can get a little confusing, some of the platforming is unnecesserally long and convoluted especially on the earlier levels. Was interested in the story but couldn't be bothered to finish it.
Interesting compo entry ! one of the best i've seen, stories requires lot of works and the artsyle is simple but pretty eye-candy. I really enjoyed it, nice to see construct2 games here.

Wow! That was something... it made me curious up even after playing the game... I want more!
Really interesting game.. The story is very intriguing!
Great story and fun as well.. A solid entry :)
Great graphics, and interesting story.
The difficulty ramp is a bit too much for me. Level 2 was already a bit crazy considering the responsiveness of player controls. I'm ok with my guy being a bit unwieldy, but then asking me to do speed trials is a rough for a casual gamer like me.

on day 3 that run is brutal. If you fail it you have to climb all the way down. Other than that it's a pretty fun game.
Awesome work!
Lovely art and character walk-cycle.
Gameplay wise: Felt a little too slow and level design was a drag.
But there's a huge amount of work here, great job!
Nice graphics and story! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/anJNAp7E9kc
