Very good game! I lost track of time while playing.

pierrec 2015-08-25 19:38

Woah...this is waaaay richer than I imagined! Every choice DO matters! Congrats for that!

archonmode 2015-08-25 20:29

The animations were too obnoxious for me and i cound not continue playing it. However the story so far was looking pretty interesting

athaclena 2015-08-25 20:30

I enjoyed this a lot, great story. Stories. You know. :)

nozergaming 2015-08-25 20:36

Good game like the art style and take on the theme. Found my self playing it a lot of times.

barigorokarl 2015-08-25 20:36

Wow... this was... vast! Very good. The graphics add great to the story.

mantlair 2015-08-25 20:51

Wow, really its a cool coincidence that i read orwells 1984 today. I loved the story and i guess i havent seen everything. And drawings are really neat. I mean thay too simple but helps to story hugely. Its like Andrew Hussie style. (http://www.mspaintadventures.com/ Homestuck is the best thing ever B)). Also i think you guys coded the entire thing. I thought u used a text based game engine. Anyway i will check out the source. Good work. Keep it up! (Also i wanna make a text adventure next time. Maybe for next mini LD but i am not a native. Well its too early but if anyone wants to team up with me for a text adventure for next mini LD just dm @mantlair at twitter. I can do drawings.)

that's a pretty interesting experience. at first I thought it was just a tiny story that you play right or wrong, but then it all suddenly made sense and I saw an opportunity to go on an even bigger adventure. very cool how the game's functions pull you into the world the more you play. cool concept!

This was pretty impressive!
I was especially impressed by the depth of the story and the amount of content!

I couldn't get past the horrid graphics, sry. I tried but the game looks too bland and colorless for my taste. Also that font looks pretty boring.
The story was ok-ish but not compelling enough to get past the horrid animations...

Lots of story alternatives, I liked how it repeated on itself... I liked the style of graphics and flow, story was good (the ones I found at least). Nice entry.

oxysoft 2015-08-30 05:17

The graphics are that of exquisite unprecedented craftsmanship, and the story of course was a roller coaster of inspiring emotions. I love how the story unraveled and revealed different information about the world depending on the choices you made. I only wish that you got to make more choices though

stupidmindlessf 2015-09-01 16:34

now this escalated quickly. Neat little game, liked your take on the theme.

Snoozed the alarm at first and didn't get how this was connected to the theme when I finished, then I played again and I got it.

roaringcatgames 2015-09-04 01:25

A lot of people have been harsh on the animations, but I really like them. They become a little mesmerizing as you play through the story lines and add to the mood. It's great to see the depth of the story(ies) as well. Many choice-based games in LD tend to be lacking real branches. This was well done.

dregamr 2015-09-05 15:11

Very interesting game, but i prefer static images. ;)

bvanschooten 2015-09-05 23:09

Pretty good, as LD text adventures go. It was easy to complete, but found the story unfolds further after completing it multiple times, taking different paths. Perhaps this can be made into an essential element in the game. Making simple "ms paint" drawings look more interesting by animating them worked for me.

You folks did a really great job of implying a lot about the world with little "hint" details so I was constantly curious about what was going on. I like everything appears to be a normal world due to how you reference things casually (like "cleansing") that end up being rabbitholes to more complicated threads. The squiggly animations were great and added just enough extra visual interest to make this feel different than just a text adventure with images. I'm not normally one to try text adventures more than once to explore different options, but I did so with this game because I was very curious about the world and you didn't reveal it all at once so I had a reason to go searching. Good job!

manusaiz 2015-09-09 18:30

Awesome, immersive experience! I want to know what happens!

alhvi 2015-09-12 03:34

Nice game, I tried a couple paths and I liked the story and writing. Good job.

norgg 2015-09-14 13:16

Yesss, great story. I agree with Mantlair that this reminded me a bit of Andrew Hussie's style, though different enough to be its own thing.

I get how the animations are generally just a few frames to make it not feel too "static", but I think it'd maybe work better if they were just stationary, or actually depicting things moving.

literal_games 2015-09-14 13:19

Wow! A really rich and complex story. Loved the references to 1984. Really great work!
